Tekken 3 saw release in North American on Play Station 1's on April 28,1998. Its the 3rd installment in the long

running franchise. Its still the most played and beloved entry in the

series. On a personnel level its still my favorite in the franchise. But

is still worth playing today? Short answer is yes. Lets see how and why

I still believe Tekken 3 is worth playing today.      Graphics 7: The

graphics though good for their time don't really hold up well today.

That's not saying they aren't pleasing to look at. What I'm saying is

that you easily count the polygons on the characters.      Sound 10: The

game sounded great for its time and all the music and sound effects

still sound great over 20 years later. In fact the music wouldn't be bad

to listen to outside of the game either.      Addictiveness 10: I so

wish I could give the game higher than a 10 on addictiveness. I really

do. The game is so much fun to play over 20 years later. I literally had

to force my self to stop playing just so I could write this very

review. Again very addicting.      Story 5: An ancient evil force has

reawakened, attacking in secret and feeding on the souls of mighty

warriors. To lure it out of hiding will take the greatest fighting

contest the world has ever seen... Tekken 3! Some are fighting for

revenge, some for honor. Ultimately, all are fighting for their lives

and the fate of all mankind. Yeah its not much of story. That's why I

rated it in the middle with a 5.
Depth 6: The games depth, like

its story, doesn't really have a lot to offer. Choose your favorite

fighter and go through all 8 stages. I wish it had more depth to it then

that but it doesn't.
Difficulty 5: The game really doesn't

offer up much of a challenge. I was able to go through the arcade

version in a short amount of time and I haven't played it in over 15

years. The upside is the controls are very responsive and control with

ease.
Overall 6.1: I think my rating of 6.1 is pretty

justified. Though not perfect, its far from being bad either. Its still

fun to play over 20 years later.
       Final Thoughts: Whether Your a

fan of fighter games or a fan of the series this is one game that I

full recommend on playing.
Game Trivia : Here is a bit of trivia for you: This game marks the debut of Jin Kazama, who replaces

Kazuya as the new Tekken series protagonist. Much like his predecessor,

however, his role as a hero becomes more ambiguous with each passing

game.
