Bullying is really only a problem if your kid isn't popular in school. I know it's sad but unless they're popular, they're probably going to get bullied. I know this because I was not popular in school at all and I was bullied from Kindergarten all the way to my Junior year in high school. My sister is popular in school and no one bullies her. But there's a downside to being popular. If a kid becomes too popular in school they can become full of themselves and turn into the bully. So a kid needs to find a balance between popular and unpopular.

I'm not really sure there's much that can be done to stop bullying completely but every little bit helps. Telling your kids to stand up for themselves will help a lot. I never defended myself and that's why I got bullied a lot more than normal.

Bullying is still pretty big, but if you teach your kids like my Dad taught me, I think your kids will be fine. My Dad always told me that Bullies Bully people because they don't feel good about themselves, but making you feel bad makes them feel good. Then He would take me out for Ice Cream and we'd talk about it. He also told me that if their trying to annoy you, just ignore them, it will make them lose interest in bothering you. Another way is to hurt the kid so that he's afraid to bully you because he'll get hurt.
