I'm amazed I managed to hit the title, been quite a while since the last time. I also managed my first ever Blue jersey, so now I should probably aim to clear Green off the list.

Overall numbers yesterday were very low. I was expecting that people would step up a bit in the 4 1/2 hours remaining after I logged off, but I managed to stay on top and even grab two seven pointers. Kind of sad I couldn't reel in anybody yesterday, I hope my future tries have better results.

Yesterday's jump puts me very close to 4th, with good chances to become 3rd if geeo scores lower than me. I doubt I'll catch the other two, they're consistent and, at least in one case, persistent. I better focus on getting more points outside of my staff role, which will be busy next week once again, so I can fight for the overall podium.

I'm kind of surprised that McDavideo7 didn't open today. Have we also lost that tradition as well?

SacredShadow : Getting a couple points each day just in case is a good plan. In July I didn't compete on Sundays so I wanted to make sure I was safe in the rankings before then.

Well, yesterday things picked up quite a bit. Looks like today we have a similar trend, so at least not every single day will be dead in this competition.

We're done with the first week of competition, and I'd never have guessed I'd be 5th with three daily jerseys collected. Not sure what can the future hold, but for sure this seems to set the ground to my highest finish ever, and I'd have to check for my points total in a single competition because I'm sure I can break that as well.

Let's see how things progress from here on out, I have a few personal milestones in mind and I'm trying my best so they all happen before my birthday comes less than one month from now. It'll be fun seeing how my chart evolves before I ultimately decide if I focus on it or just do my thing to clear personal goals out of the way.

EX Palen : I'm hoping the next few weeks of the competition will be about as active as yesterday was, but users will have to make more threads to keep it going. I already have several ideas in mind for threads so eventually I'll get around to making those to boost the activity further. Have a fun time trying to reach those goals!

If I'm able to keep posting a few times a day when the homework isn't too much, I'll likely make my way into the top 5 soon. I definitely won't be competing with near as much dedication as last time. But who knows, maybe I'll end up getting an overall jersey again even if I don't mean to. I didn't plan on it but if it's close I might go for one when I have plenty of time.

Well, this weekend didn't go as planned as far as maintaining my activity levels in the competition. It's difficult because there aren't many places to post that I haven't already posted in or are several months old (in terms of when the most recent post was made).

I'm not going to try to guarantee anything, but I'll likely continue to post a few times a day each day and see where that takes me. If it looks like there is a lull in activity one day, then I'll seize the opportunity and do what I can to grab points. At this point though, things are starting to get interesting and activity levels are rising, I don't think anyone has hit 25+ posts up until yesterday in the competition.

SacredShadow : Aww...seeing your post made me sad. I am kinda thinking of stepping in, but I am having second thoughts because of other reasons. Although good luck to those who are competing!

Wow! I haven't really been competing in the Tdv. I've just been reviewing some games I've been wanting to review for a while now and doing my usual thing. I guess things aren't really that active, or I'd have more competition. I don't usually do much posting other than game reviews and sometimes responding to other people's threads. Pacman+Mariofan gets 2 Jerseys.

Daily results are starting to pick up in a couple jerseys, and we see several users popping out randomly on given days. These two facts make it so competition is unpredictable, and you can end up not earning as many points as you thought you would.

The gap between 3rd and 8th overall is just 20 points, which clearly shows how close things are being even if the competition is barely alive. Anyone like Pac, who just participated a couple days, can make big jumps in the standings and jeopardize the reigning calm. We might not have heated action, but we do have some interesting things to keep our eyes on.

I'm just 10 points away from the leader(s) in overall Yellow and Blue, which is a first ever. Blue isn't my strongest jersey, though the competition allows me to get my good share of points, but Yellow is one of my favorite battlefields so chances are I could perform quite well and stay close enough to the leader for a final push later on. Also, I'm already over halfway for my points record, and seeing my pace I wouldn't discard breaking the 100 barrier by the time the last third of the competition starts.

And despite all this, I still don't have the energy to deal with university homework sooner so I can participate without holding back. I deserve a slap xD

I wonder if I'll ever get the time to actually manage to grab two jerseys. I might actually have to dust off my reviewing skills in order to do that. Or actually post throughout the day, possibly. I might have to, considering the point differential.

Well, I knew yesterday would be a futile day for me, but luckily I didn't lose much.

Finally, the leader managed to surpass the 100 points barrier. This is surely the slowest pace of the leader since the 7 pointer was introduced, and who knows if even before that. Still, behind him there's some close competition, and while two users are surely above all the rest there are many open battles for top 5 and even top 10.

Let's see if we can pick up the numbers again after a fruitful weekend. Not gonna be easy as some participants are already taking a break, but we won't see until we try, right?

Yesterday was a crazy day, so I didn't even log in. Today I plan on catching up on some work for school so if I compete, it will likely be just a little. Like EX Palen said, I came in strong when I started but that shouldn't be expected often at a time like this.

I think this is the first day that I was ranked all across the board. Maybe this is a sign that I'm gonna gain some ground, after all.

I just barely managed to grab 6 points yesterday due to being busy with school and homework accounting for a large chunk of my time yesterday. It's always slightly upsetting (at least to me) to know that with just a few more posts, I could've gained a lot more ground in the competition.

I wouldn't be surprised if I have several more days like that throughout the rest of the competition, although I consider it pitiful on my end, it's better than having a day where I do absolutely nothing and end up falling behind in the standings. That shouldn't happen though since a few posts take you a long way.

SacredShadow : I had a super busy day yesterday too. I think my competition level will be all over the place this month.

Just like yesterday, I'm not putting much up today. (Well, yesterday I didn't do anything) But I'll likely be posting when I'm taking breaks from my homework.

Wow, yesterday things were very dead. Less than 1k words for Yellow, only one user above 7 posts in Blue... No wonder how could I walk away with 16 points.

Looks like I have a shot at 3rd overall if I manage a few days like this one. I depend a bit too much on my staff role, so I hope it contributes its fair share as well. If not, I hope I'll have enough time to think of a plan B, because this might very well be my last chance at anything in the TdV.

It seems that no 8120 isn't capable of reducing the gap with SacredShadow, and seeing how close of a fight we have for overall Yellow and Blue we could have a second time where the rainbow banner holder will get no jerseys.

Let's hope the second third of the competition starts a bit better compared to the end of the first third, because I really can't see things going further downhill.

EX Palen : I believe this is the 1st time I've seen a yellow jersey winner not reach 1K words.

My only goal today is to compete without it getting in the way of my schoolwork. Which basically means hardly competing. I fell down the top 10 so I hope that this week I can get up to the top 5.
