I watched some football and it doesn't seem interesting, and baseball looks interesting to me. Should I try to like football? I don't wanna be a crazy fan, but try to be a fan. I don't know how to play, but I could easily watch a YouTube video to learn. Just asking, should I?

I would say yes. I only got into football really a couple week ago when I was at a sports talk show. There's isn't a lot of things that I like about the sport, just a few, but those few things keep me interested in it. You should first try to find the pieces of football that interest you instead of the sport in general.

zanderlex : Yea, that is true. I already have a favorite team, the Seahawks (don't judge me) and yea. I guess I know how scores go down, I'm just not sure. In my mind, it goes, "Oh that guy got tackled." since I have no knowledge on the sport. Just saying, hate the Patriots.

I say if you want to do it go for it. Young boys nowadays go into sports that they like and other things towards that. Personally playing football is fun....but, even though there will be some bad times.

This isn't really a decision other people make for you. If you genuinely want to enjoy the sport and are willing to play it, then yeah, go ahead. If you want to play it just to force yourself to like it, then no, don't. Your excuse is that you don't have much to do; if you really want to play football to make up for that void, then do it. If you're doing it because other people play it and you just have the time, then go do something you'll actually enjoy. You said you don't think it's interesting? Give it a shot. I'm a huge baseball and football fan. I have always been into baseball since I was little. However, I got into football about 15 years ago. I got into college football first. Then a few years ago I got into the NFL. I got into football to be more social. I started watching it and actually liked it. So yes I would recommend getting into football

Also shouldn't play or do something you find boring unless it's for a grade at school. I don't play any sports and I do a lot of things you said you like to do. You could join your town or school's 4-H club. They have a lot of project areas and fun stuff to do. I joined this year and already was voted club vice president. I have a rabbit but also do a lot of things I like to do and enter them into the fairs like art or baking or crafts. If you like computers or robots or science there are project areas for that with workshops and kits to build.  So if you want something else to do but not all that into sports 4-H could be fun for you.
