I've recreated the thread page from the ground up. There's a lot to say about the new thread pages so I'll go ahead and break up this post into each of the things that I think is worth mentioning.
Mobile Friendly
The thread pages on Vizzed are now mobile friendly meaning that they'll look great on both cell phones and tablets. The pages show less content but it's optimized so that it's easy to scroll through. Plus the pages will have less graphics and HTML which means your phone will have a far better time handling the pages compared to before and the data usage will be far less.
Faster Pages!
This is actually incredible. The average render time of a thread page before this
update (measured on 09_09_16) was 0.7959828 seconds and now the average render time of a thread page afterward (measured on logs_09_16_16) is 0.2586665 seconds. The render time of the thread pages is literally 3 times faster!
What's even more incredible is that the rest of the site benefited greatly from this since the thread pages were no longer sucking up a lot of the site's resources. The average render time of the site before this
update (measured on 09_09_16) was 0.7295749 seconds and now the average render time of the site (measured on logs_09_16_16) is 0.3642283 seconds!!
Cleaner and More Organized
This is all a matter of opinion but I think that the pages are more organized and things are where they should be. Things are no longer all over the place and there's now a sense of organization on the pages. While the veterans of the site might be annoyed by the fact that they'll have to get adjusted by the new layout, I think newcomers will like it far more since everything makes more sense now.
The game reviews probably benefit the most from this. Take a look at how much nicer they look.

Game guides look a lot better now too.
Before and
After.
Better Ad Placement
The ads are now positioned on the pages where they'll earn more money. Since I was able to free up a lot of space just by organizing things better, I was also able to add another ad to the page without adding any extra clutter. Plus, the ads appear above the fold now which also helps increase revenue. On top of all that, there are now side ads for guests and mobile devices should be monetized better also. All of these things should help with the site's revenue, especially since nearly 1/4 of the site's traffic is on the thread pages.
Resolution Friendly
Before, the thread pages weren't very friendly to users who had smaller monitors. A lot of the layouts were too wide and the thread pages were just too wide as well. Big layouts are now displayed at a smaller size and the page itself takes up less space, which should make the forum experience so much more enjoyable for users with smaller monitors.
Customized Look
The look of the threads can be somewhat customized. Threads will also take on the look of the forum that they're contained in.
Here's an example of a customized forum:

And here's a thread within that forum:

User's can also now customize their own thread by giving it its own unique look and content. Here's an example of a thread that has its own look:

More Features
Besides the things already mentioned, the thread pages have more features due to using the new site code which results into the thread pages having all of the same features as the rest of the site.
There's a lot of things I'm forgetting to mention or don't have time to go over. There's also a lot of things that I'm still not done with and things that need to be fixed. Ultimately, this change was definitely needed. There have been so many new users who have absolutely hated the layout of the forum and I don't blame them, especially since it was based on a forum built in the early 2000s. I now just need to alter the theme of it a little but that'll be for a different time.
