   So I was playing Super Mario Bros yesterday on Play.Rom.Online and then suddenly after getting off of it I started getting pop ups but I did not know the cause. I then removed the Malware and went on doing whatever. Then I went to Play.Rom.Online again and the malaware came back. So my question is. Does Play.Rom.Online have malware? PS not sure if this is in the right forum.

We might need to let David know there are some ads in the rotation that are attempting to hi-jack browsers.

Avast completely blocked get-your-rom at some point because there were hi-jacking pop-up ads.
I can confirm they are actually there after I white-listed gyr and the first ad I saw was a "Your computer might be infected - click here" ad.

I had a similar issue yesterday or the day before. I heard a couple chimes after a popup and when I clicked the start menu, it redirected the browser to some shady looking site.... I ran Malwarebytes as well, and although it was only a quick scan, it didn't find anything.... I haven't had the issue since re-enabling my ad blocker, which I'm only doing to confirm that it's specific to these sites. I had considered the possibility that it was just me and another user, but obviously not. I already spoke with David on the matter, so it's being looked into.

Other people are having this problem. Here's a screenshot of the problem, given to me by LunarDarkness2. He also told me that before this screenshot he got a... rather inappropriate popup. I have a screenshot of that too but obviously I cannot link it.

I wonder if this could be related to the problem I've been having from mobile in that after these issues occurred, my mobile Avast was actually somehow disabled. I literally cannot open the app or run a scan since this started... If so this is a lot more serious than just ad pop ups...

If anyone could get David's attention in any way possible, that would be great. He's online on Vizzed but he's not on Steam so I can't contact him through there. I'm going to try to summon him here one more time, even though he's already been summoned twice. But this could actually be a very big problem and it's starting to worry me.

I guess I could try running full system or boot time scans (even though I don't know what a boot time scan is), but I think my machine is clean. I have Avast antivirus and never encountered any problems with malware :/

Edit: Given that I have done some work on the site towards uploading files and checking if they worked for the search of the file to load the game.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
