Hey VizzedGuy111 here, and I'm here to talk about the Donkey Kong Country series (including Donkey Kong 64) and here's my question. Do you think the Donkey Kong Country series is still good? I mean the Donkey Kong Country series is still beloved by others, and people considered it one of the best platformers, other than Mario. So, yeah. Also bananas.

Absolutely! I've played through the most recent enties, and the level design is superb. There are many action-packed levels that make great use of mechanics, plenty of hidden secrets, and a mirror mode a la Mario Kart once you've completed the secret world of each game (although i don't know if this is continued in Tropical Freeze). Perhaps the least fun I had with the game is with the bonus levels. They are fun, but there is little variety compared to the rest of each game and to the SNES DKC games. Despite that, I enjoyed them even more than the SNES games, and hope to fully complete them in the future (100% them, although technically the meter in the games goes above that).

There was a thread on this a few months ago I said it was one of the best game series of all time mostly for its music, trying to complete 100% on the games are hard though, apparently.

Personally, I've never been a huge fan of the Donkey Kong Country series. I personally think it's the most overrated series on the SNES. I enjoyed playing them, but I don't think they're the best games on the system, which some people seem to think. The newer DKC games are also enjoyable, but to me it's more of the same.

I haven't played any of the newer DKC games, and the most I've played is the first Donket Kong Country game on the SNES, so I can't really say if it's still good or not. But since I am one of those people that thinks every game in a series is good, more in likely I still think the DKC series is still good.

Yes in my opinion the Donkey Kong Country series is one of the better platformers out there but I believe Nintendo doesn't see that because they're making remakes for series like Pokemon and Zelda however the Donkey Kong Country series is always getting new content.

The Donkey Kong series has been good since the snes era of gaming that is to say that the newer ones aren't good as well they are great and just as challenging as the old ones (not as much cause the old ones were really really challenging and such) but still fun regardless but there is a way for Nintendo to go ahead and ruin the series hopefully (knock on wood) that never happens and the series continues to shine and be great
