Hello everyone, and welcome! I always run into so many articles a day, that I want to try and see if people are interested in a one stop shop for gaming articles I found interesting! It will be set up like a magazine in a sense, and if this gains attention, I would like to continue doing this! Anyways, let's get into it!

For a short but sweet version of all the articles below, I've included this easy summarization below the Table of Contents.

Table of Contents
To quickly get to a specific article, use control + F and type the code in the [brackets].
[AM1] - Rare Amiibo's Being Restocked
[AM2] - More Super Smash Brothers Characters?
[AM3] - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Status Update
[AM4] - Guitar Hero Live Won't Have Paid DLC!
[AM5] - A Milestone for Super Mario Maker
[AM6] - Rainbow Six Siege Is Getting An Extension

Quick and Easy Summarization Of All Articles
Alright, so if you don't want to look at the pretty pictures and want a TL;DR, here we go. Nintendo has announced that they plan to restock some rare amiibos to select retailers across America. No word of the quantity being shipped has been said. Nintendo also announced that they have officially sold one million copies of Super Mario Maker for the Wii U in a matter of weeks. They also sport an impressive 2.2 million levels created and over 75 million plays. Guitar Hero Live announced that they will be dropping traditional DLC methods in favor of a more Spotify like approach. No word on what their Micro transactions will look like yet. Activision has announced that they plan to release two extra levels and five extra characters for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 as an apology for it's broken state. Data miner's have found that three characters are indeed coming to Super Smash Brothers, thought there is no official word on which characters are coming. Rainbow Six Siege will also be extending it's Beta to allow players more time to play the game.

Well, there you have it, a days worth of articles in an over-sized paragraph! If you're interested in more detail or the sources used, make sure to read the full articles below.

[AM1] - Rare Amiibo's Being Restocked

Nintendo of America recently announced on it's Twitter that they intend to release more of the rare amiibos to retailers! The specific ones announced for restock are: Little Mac, Lucario, Greninja, Shulk, Captain Falcon, and Fox. The exact picture shown on their twitter can be seen below.

One thing worth noting is that the twitter announcement says "@ select retailers soon." Due to the fact that some of these Amiibo's were exclusive to certain stores, will they still be exclusive to those same stores? Lucario and Greninja were exclusively only available to purchase at Toys 'R Us. Shulk was also an exclusive, but for EB Games and Gamestop instead. So, if they remain exclusive to the specific stores once again, there is a possibility that they will be sold out very quickly, and not do much to remedy the demand.

Amiibos are extremely popular and are known to sell out incredibly fast. This announcement will undoubtedly please many Nintendo fans. With this excitement though, one must wonder, if they release only one Amiibo per store, will scalpers take them? This is a running problem with the Amiibo idea - people have found that buying them as soon as possible and flipping them on popular sites like EBay is proving to be very profitable. Hopefully, Nintendo of America has a plan minimize just feeding the scalpers more product!

[AM2] - More Super Smash Brothers Characters?

According to an article on NintendoLife, data miners were able to successfully locate 3 unnamed characters for Super Smash Brothers. There's a lot of speculation as to who they actually are, but Nintendo did a good job of making sure nobody figures out exactly who they are until it's announced officially. Data miners were also able to successfully find that there are an additional 6 stages that will be coming to the game in the future.

Though no one has any conclusive evidence as to who the three characters will be, it's widely agreed that Shovel Knight will be at least one of the ones released. (I personally want Phoenix Wright, am I alone here?) So, until the announcement, we must wait to discover who exactly the three challengers will be. If anything, this is a nice reminder of things that are coming.

[AM3] - Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Status Update

If you've purchased, or even followed the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5, you're probably aware that the game is riddled with bugs and glitches. The community has spoken up about this, and seem to have gotten Activision's attention. Activision is promising to deliver updates to fix the problems, and intends to deliver five new characters and two new stages. They hope that the community will accept that as an apology for the troubles that users may have experienced.

It is worth noting that the game will also be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this month. No word has been released as to if whether or not these versions will also be plagued with these problems - or if they'll get the extra maps and characters, too.

[AM4] - Guitar Hero Live Won't Have Paid DLC

Though Activision still plans to have micro transactions within Guitar Hero Live, they have announced that they have decided to do away with the normal way of distributing DLC. Guitar Hero Live intends on allowing users to purchase access to a Spotify like play list system using the in-game currency, where they will be able to play and discover songs without the method of purchasing DLC packs. The currency can be used to play songs on demand, and apparently there will be a very large amount of songs available to choose from.

The player will be allowed to access curated play lists by other players, instead of just a random play list. “Music discovery is a big pillar for GHTV, and we’re going to keep adding new content on an ongoing basis, so you’ll always have new music and new shows to explore,” writes Guitar Hero Live creative director Jamie Jackson. “You’ll start off with access to hundreds of songs, and there will be many more on the way. It’s a living, breathing platform, which means we can bring people the music they want a lot faster than in previous games.”

The article does state that the game will require internet access at all times. This doesn't come as much of a surprise, as the goal of the game is to offer a large variety of songs and add to the experience. It sounds like from what Jamie Jackson said that they truly intend to deliver a massive amount of content. The pricing for the micro transactions is still unannounced, but it's nice to see that there may be a chance that the player won't have to pay extra for extra songs.

[AM5] - A Milestone for Super Mario Maker

Super Mario Maker has officially sold 1 million units, says Nintendo. Having been released only a few weeks ago, this is an impressive feat, and one that Nintendo is most certainly happy about! "These one million players have created more than 2.2 million Super Mario courses, which have been played nearly 75 million times." says James Orry of Videogamer. With millions of plays and courses, the game has shown early on that Nintendo has done an excellent job in delivering a great experience!

Fan-developers are still busy creating fun and new content to be played daily! One of our very own has been creating Super Mario Maker levels! To check out his creations, check them out here: http://www.nintendolife.com/super-mario-maker/users/davideo7 . So, the question becomes, will the game continue to sell well? The Wii U's success hasn't been amazing, but a great game like this will definitely help sell consoles!

[AM6] - Rainbow Six Siege Is Getting An Extension

Ubisoft has announced that the closed Rainbow Six Siege beta will be extended until October 4th.Ubisoft will also be giving players who have been playing the beta additional keys, which they can give to friends to play the beta before it ends. It's a bit of a tricky situation though, as registration ends on October 2nd, giving players very little time to redeem keys. The registration page has also seemingly been taken down, making it difficult for players to redeem the codes given to them.

The weekend will also sport a double renown event, helping players unlock better gear and more. Renown is used to unlock weapon skins, weapons, attachments, and the like. Ubisoft has also stated that they have lowered matchmaking times, and have improved the success rate of the overall matchmaking system.

WOAH, looks like a ton of stuff had happened today. I really like the news for Tony hawk, but I'm depressed that it might not be coming to PC since that's the only way that I can play it right now, but I really do want to play.

Love to see the new Smash characters as well, not sure who to expect though but I'm sure they will be cool.

I'm going to have to be on the ball lest you snatch up my article materials. xD

Very interesting approach to writing an article. Will you be writing one a month, or just whenever?

Eirinn : I was planning to do one weekly, but I don't know. We can work something out for an even split of articles haha!

Seriously though, not sure yet. Depends on what's in the news at whatever time, you know?

I'm really feeling it !

I haven't been this excited in reading an article in a long time. This article provided some juicy details. I really like how you added a table of contents and the Amiibo pictures pulled me in. In fact I think anything Amiibo related will pull me in haha.

I can't wait to see who the 3 new Smash character's are going to be, it would be nice to see Shovel Knight. Please don't bring back Pichu. I'm considering getting Guitar Hero Live only cause I use to play some of the games with my family. I thought Guitar Hero was gone for good. It's good to see that it's back but I wonder if this one is going to do well. Mario Maker just adds to the list as to why people should own a Wii U.

I like the idea of this. If you decide to do this weekly I'm definitely in support of it.

All I care about really are the new Smash characters this week. I've been hoping for a while for Shantae and Snake, but I know Snake probably won't be returning. I'm also interested in the new stages, but I remember hearing there would be two more, not six.

cnw64 : pichu isn't just returning. he's all 3 of the new characters

Galacta : That would be one sick joke for Sakurai to pull. There would be a red, blue and green Pichu.  But to be honest Super Smash Bros doesn't need another Lucina, Ganondorf, Dr Mario, and Dark Pit.

cnw64 : What's wrong with pichu? I wouldn't actually mind if they put another Pokemon as a character, but an actual legendary, I feel that would be kind of cool to see.

zanderlex :  Pichu is an F tier character and the lowest ranked clone character in Super Smash Bros Melee. I would rather have a different Pokemon as a new character in Smash 4 than Pichu. But even so, Pichu is a fun character to use despite it damaging itself when using electric attacks.

Hmm, well if Shovel Knight is one of the new characters, I won't play as him no matter how good he is. Anyways nice job on this article! I'm glad I read it.
