Whenever I try to play a game on a 1080p resolution screen, the game doesn't cover up the whole window but just a portion of it, Is there anyway I can fix this? Also, full screen does not work properly anymore since I upgraded to windows 10, instead of actually going full screen it just changes my computers resolution and makes everything look huge.

I'm sorry for your issue. I'm running windows 10 with Google chrome and do not see any specific issues when going full-screen on my gaming computer.

So when going full screen, you are holding alt+enter and your above issue happens? Any chance you could take a screenshot and show us?

Which browser are you using?

Are you having these issues with all games, or just specific systems?

Have you made sure that you are running the most recent firmware update for your graphics card?

Jordanv78 : Can confirm that it's just one of my computers doing this, other one works fine. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this on my other computer?

mickmick93 : I might, if you could offer some insight to the questions I asked you in my above post. That way I could get a better idea on what the problem might be.

mickmick93 : Thanks for the screenshots. So, you are using Chrome with the RGR plugin?

Are you having this same issue when using other browsers?

Is the above images happen when you hold Alt+enter on your keyboardor are you using some other method to go full-screen?

Jordanv78 : Just noticed that this issue only occurs with the mednafen emulator. Other emulators that allow full screen work fine.

mickmick93 : It sounds like your configuration for Mednafen is altered for some reason. The setting for the 'xres' and 'yres' for the systems should be set to 0 which is supposed to match your screen resolution.
It appears, for whatever reason, its changing it to 800x600...

This what I mean right here, no matter what I do the game only fits a small portion of the screen which makes it annoying to play. The only way to not experience this is to play on fullscreen, but all games don't allow that.

Vanelan : I've tried to do this before with no success. The config file is written dynamically each time a game is loaded and the values, including the one for system resolution, are written by the server, so even if you change them, the server will change them back the moment that you run a game.

I have a similar issue on my Windows 7 computer. I'm hooked up to a somewhat dated (2009 model) 1080p HDTV that does not support resolutions below 1024x768 over HDMI, whereas Mednafen runs retro games at 640x480. Luckily, my TV also has classic VGA support, so I bought a VGA cable ($5 on newegg) and ran that second cable from my tower to my TV. VGA colors look much more washed out compared to HDMI, so I keep the HDMI plugged in when I'm not playing on Vizzed. Windows now thinks I have two monitors plugged in at all times, but at least I can play fullscreen games.

tl;dr: for me it had nothing to do with my computer but with my monitor. I don't know if this will help you but you're welcome to give it a try if you're seeing similar symptoms to mine. Feel free to PM me if you have questions.

Vanelan : I was only messing with resolution settings, but you're right that it would make sense that at least some of the configurations are able to be modified by users, else why would they be stored client-side to begin with? lol

If it's possible there needs to be some sort of update for this, as this is highly inconvenient for users with 1080p monitors & laptops.

mickmick93 : it's really not a plugin issue... it's an individual user issue.
I dunno if we can update the plugin for that.
The only thing I can suggest is use an emulator that allows you to change the resolution. For snes, you can use zsnes. I am not sure offhand if you can with any other system.

mickmick93 : This seems to be an issue with specific graphic settings not automatically changing. I've rarely specifically heard of users having issues in a high resolution enviornment.

I personally run a Nvidia GTX 980 dual monitor environment and have no issues using the plugin/mednafen in Firefox or Chrome.

Since these type of issues only happen to a small number of people, it seems more specific to their actual environment than anything actually with the plugin. Just like for those small number of users that can't run SNES games on the site due to some weird graphic card issue that hasn't been singled out yet.

I apologize for the issue that you are having, but I'm not sure what else could be done at this point without looking at your computer in person.
