David is not desperate and we can go back to the names that previously applied, but he is simply giving those who didn't get picked for the position to look into a different position that is still available, which is why he's just asking again. There are standards to represent Vizzed, and we don't need a rejected applicant to be complaining about David's standards of who should represent the site.

And really, out of all things, you are complaining about trusted status as a baseline requirement? You simply need 5 TP to become trusted. Just 5 current trusted members giving 1 TP. Furthermore, it takes 5 staff members to lower it to 0 in order for that trusted status to be gone. Someone could have 3 TP after getting that status and still stay as a trusted member. You can't call it a popularity contest for apps when the amount of TP doesn't define who are the better applicants, but it is the baseline letting us know that 5 people in the trusted community can vouch for a person saying that they are trustworthy and are involved consistently in the community. And if they are not, they would be demoted down by staff, easy. If you actually looked at apps from regular members from previous apps, most of them are members who haven't really been involved in the community nor contributed much to the site. I mean, really, there are even posts where their app is literally their first few posts on the site.

Instead of focusing on the validity of the trusted system, one should focus on the other side of the system. Those who can somehow manage to have their TP to be lost and lose trusted status or even go into the negatives should figure out that they are considered untrustworthy, consistent rule breakers, have bad attitude, or are simply jerks. And since Staff+ are the ones that can give negative points, those who were demoted to regular member or downrated to the negatives must really be bad examples or have low potential of being role models. Honestly, why would the existing staff members want to work with THAT type of person or associate themselves with THAT type of person on the same team?

I will apply for Price Guide Manager again. I did this job previously, and my busy schedule caught me, considering this was part of the school year. Now that it's summer I should definitely be able to do fine with this job.

I'm sure I don't have much of a chance at this, but I'll apply for Game Tester as well, just to throw in a little mix. I'm confident in my ability to, well, test games.

play4fun: No. If you read correctly, I quoted David. Let's simply this - rather than requesting everyone apply 3 times, after being "Passed" why not simply message the members who would make a good fit and ask if they are interested in another position and decide whether or not those users are good fits for those positions.

Of course, this is not the course of action, instead, those of us interested in staff must "beg". If your first application wasn't successful, why would your 2nd or 3rd? Out of all things, I've complained about this Trust System for years now because it's used in most of Vizzed features including how it manipulates the community. Out of the 7 people who liked your post and the 2 who disliked mine are on your friend list, people who follow everything you say, give trust to you? The basis of the trust system is popularity, you're someone these people like (Personally, I don't know you). I am not someone who blows smoke up everyone else's ass and I don't dedicate day and night to befriend the entire community. I don't want anything to do with this trust system because it displaces members of the community whos personalities and lives don't fit into the race for popularity. 

I don't want trust and so I don't set out to earn it. I speak freely, often conflicts with the interests of the many because I offer a viewpoint that doesn't join the bandwagon the majority wants to be apart of. Earning 3 TP or losing 10 TP does nothing to me, it just shows how everyone else agrees or disagrees with me, especially when used to "punish" me because I think and act differently. TP isn't awarded and taken away based on a system of trust "someone vouched for me". I don't want to continue to argue this here.

I've never committed an untrustworthy act on Vizzed and if I have, name it.

Perhaps the problems with this system are based on the assumptions that someone is untrustworthy because a group decided to downvote a member and further assume these members are; rule-breakers, bad attitudes or jerks.

Do you know me? Where I grew up? Who my friends are? What foods I love to eat? What accomplishments I made in life? Where I work? What I do on a day to day basis? No, you don't. Trust is a judgmental system where you assume the validity of other members totals the validity of the user this trust applies to. I have fought with 2 members of this community in 5 years (has it been 5 years?) and the only "rule" that was ever broken was "Disagreed with Staff". Therefore, I should assume the community thinks I'm a jerk. The f***ed up thing, I've only been a jerk to the 2 staff members I fought with.

What does this matter anyway? You're only here to get me to stop "for the good of the community" because everything a staff member does is righteous "role models". You don't want to understand opposition.

In this modern day opposition is entirely intolerable - Trust System. Private message if you want to discuss this further. Rate me down because thats what this community is about.

Many hours of my day is spent on playing many games in the Retro Game Room, even if they are in there beta stages. I try constantly to stay updated on your site and I attempt to try the different games you allow in the Retro Game Room. 

I want the position because I am a very active member of this site. I spend well over 5-10 hours on your site everyday searching through the site finding interesting games and playing old classics. The vizzed staff is very kind,inviting, and helpful and being a part of your staff will be a great experience. I also see and admire your dedication to the site and being able to work alongside you will be great. I feel that I am qualified to be a game tester because of my open nature. I am very open to different views and being able to apply that to this position is very exciting.

Davideo7 : Not sure if you want to add it to the list or not but thought i'd suggest a useful position. Compatibility tester: You'd test out the rgr games to make sure they work on an operating system. So you could be testing Mega man battle network four blue for gba and finds it works on windows xp but not on linux or it works on mac but not on windows vista and you'd also be in charge of finding out witch games work on an internet browser. So you could be using Internet explorer and the game works then switch to google chrome and find that game doesn't work.


Requirements: Must have windows xp or later(You can try windows 2000 but you will most likely need a virtual machine to get internet working on that OS. Windows ME will also need a VM for internet connections to)Have a mac that is at least 14 years old or newer, same with linux. If you don't have any of these machines then you must download virtual machine software to get these oses. Make sure to install the integration components if your vm software has them. Must be normal member or higher have 100 posts or more and have been here for at least 100 days.
