I have been playing in the RGR with my game controller a lot recently, and it worked just fine. Now, whenever I try to plug it into the USB port, it says "Windows does not recognize this device". HOW!? It always worked whenever I plug it in, and now it won't work anymore at all. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Is that all the information that you have? Does it repeatedly disconnect and connect again within a few seconds? Try a different port, do you get the same message? Even if your controller is a plug n play you might need to install the disc, have you done that? If you pull up the game controllers window does it show your controller as plugged in? questions intensify :p

Yeah, not much to work with. What kind of controller is it? There's some that automatically get downloaded when you plug it in.

But, with my crappy mouse with faulty cords, windows does it a lot when it can't work right. Maybe there's something wrong with your controller.

I can only help you if you are using a Windows computer, as I am unsure what to do on a MAC. Check under Computer and Devices/Printers to see if its lists the device in the list. It is possible that you just need to adjust some settings there. If not, it could be a problem with the controller itself, it's male USB cord, or the computer's female USB slot. It could just be the case of "unplugging it and then plugging it back in." If none of these work, perhaps search up if there is something up with your computer's hardware. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

Did your PC / laptop recently update? If so, try un installing everything you had to install to get your controller working, and then re installing it.

Also, what controller are you using?

thing1 :

I'm not really sure which exact controller it is, but it was made by Logitech, and it looks sorta like a 360 controller

LunarDarkness2 : Check the switch on the back.
It should be set to "D."

Unplug the controller and plug it back in after you do that.
