Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I hate being pressured to sell so many candy bars that no one really wants, because there is always a better sale. I hate feeling as though I have to get people to call about me, I've crushed the entire store 2x already and now they expect me to crush them every time now. Also, my one manager is unpredictable, and seems to always be grouch all the time.

I'm currently "unemployed" even though I do have work gigs every now and then, but in my last full time job I hated the people there. They were lazy, better paid and couldn't stop complaining about the smallest things. It was an office job, so I could do quite a bit of things that interest me, but there was too much negativity in that place and that's why I ended up quitting. Toxicity is real bummer at work.

I work at an ice cream shop.

I love my job! It's so nice and the customers are always happy to see me and the bosses are some of the nicest people I have ever met.

I also despise my job.

I have to work with high school kids who refuse to listen to me. I will tell them a direct order like: "You must wear your full uniform every day, yes the whole thing. Even the hat. The boss will get upset at you if you do not." And still no one cares. A few do, but they see the ones that do not and are slowly starting to slip up and see just how far they can get until they get in trouble. I find it so difficult especially because the one who is leading these girls to do this kind of thing is a girl who get a lot of hours--simply because she is the only one who can work those hours.

It's so frustrating!

thing1 : I like my job alot. I guess the main dislike I have is not the job's fault, but more so the economy. I was working the same kind of job 8 years ago and made almost $10 more when it was more in demand.

The fact that a third party takes away part of my wages. That it is only a temp job. Usually I would say the boss, but my current one is okay.

My main caveat is the utterly slow response speed (IF they respond at all) of the editors to whom I pitch article. I don't know if it's because I'm an intern, but I find that frustrating to not even have a "pass on" answer. Plus, most of them don't even give feedback or are too vague about what I need to change in my article so I can write better the next time.

First of all, I absolutely love my job! I wouldn't change anything about it. I am the manager of a bowling pro shop, so I'm constantly inside a bowling center...right where I want to be. I've been bowling since I was 3 years old, and right now I wouldn't want to have any other job.

But of course, you want like everything about your job, no matter how good it is. The thing I hate most about my job is the fact that during the summer is the slow time of the year. I can't stand working at a bowling alley with nobody in it. A lot of the time during the summer, especially on sunny days, everybody is out enjoying the day. Hardly anyone wants to be inside when its a nice day. Right now, its the first day of spring, but I can already feel the summer coming because of how warm it already is.

Well, there are a few things, ( lol ) but I guess the one thing I dislike the most about my job is working on things that have nothing to do with my job title. I am a Material Handler ( contractor ) at a food manufacturing plant and my main job is to load products onto trailers using a forklift and making sure that each trailer is clean, sealed, and damage free before loading and shipping them to their destination. I also do some computer work and document each order that is finished and call any needed trailers to dock doors ( etc. ) but the one thing I do not work on is the production line for the materials. However, even though this is not in our contract, some of the Technicians who work on the production line have asked us to help them out with some of the machines ( conveyors, stretch wrappers, labelers, etc. ) that bring the materials to us. It is mostly the stretch wrapper ( called a Lantech ), which stops every now and then because it ran out of wrapping plastic. The job is easy to do but we are not suppose to do it because it requires training and we do not receive any training on that type of equipment. Unfortunately, my contractor has been voluntarily helping the Techs out with these 'additional work duties' for many years now and it is starting to tick me off. We have been trying to get a pay raise for these 'additional work duties' ( since it is basically free labor ) but I have a feeling that it will never happen.

There are a few other things that I dislike as well, but this is the one that I absolutely HATE!

I like my job a lot, but if I had to complain about one thing, I'd say that it can get really crowded sometimes. I'm not a big fan of being in a tight space with a lot of people around. That rarely ever happens though, so I'm pretty happy.

gamerforlifeforever2 : I can relate to that. I won't say I'm "agoraphobic" (as you seem to be, a little) but I hated when the convenience store at which I was working got crowded. It stressed me out.

NOT HAVING ONE right now, honestly.

In my last job, though... I guess the worst part was using the giant solder-dipping machine. Cleaning and maintaining that thing was never meant for a woman with tiny hands and who stands only five feet tall in heels. My arms are covered in burn scars from the boiling water and melted solder it held because the gloves they gave me were miles too big and would slip down whenever I cleaned things. I hated that machine. So. Very. Much.

In my previous job I was an operations supervisor. The tasks and workflow was okay but repetitive, but that's not the reason why I used to dislike my job. I used to hate it because of the people.

They would always gather around somewhere and talk smack about everybody else. It was a very toxic environment. I go to work to do a good job and get paid, I don't care about gossip. When I got promoted, those people would talk badly about me. When I would visit my manager's office and ask for instructions/assistance on a project, people would say that I was being a "kiss ass" (pardon my language). I don't understand why people do this. I mean if you have a problem with someone why not address it instead of standing around, talking about it and doing nothing.

I'm glad I quit my job. It paid well but I'm now back in college. I now surround myself with people who build each other up instead of tearing each other down. But once I graduate, I'm scared to enter the workforce because I might end up with those same kind of people again. Oh well, that's life. You have to be brave.

There are many things I like about my job, but a few that I dislike:

Customers not knowing what they want but wanting something that works and wanting it right away. It is crazy, I don't read minds, so if someone can't tell me what they want, it is very difficult to give it to them.

Working long hours and sacrificing my personal time to grow and develop in my job just so one of my many bosses gets all the credit. Even the bigger picture I really dislike that CEOs and other upper management are making millions a year even when the company is doing bad but then the lower level workers get small or non-existent raises despite record performance. It feels like we are working hard to make someone else rich. I understand that is how businesses work (unless you're self employed), but I still dislike it.

The thing I don't like about my job is that I do landscaping work, and I have to work in the morning and I hate getting up in the morning, and not just that, but my boss tells me when I can go to lunch and how long to take it for, and the worse part is that me being outside and you know Gulf Coast weather (in the Southern United States), it gets boiling hot and it is unbearable to deal with, like you can't be out in the sun without getting driven to the brink of insanity.

But hey, as long I get money, that is all that matters, but I wish they was an easier way to do so though.
