If I had to pick a band to listen to forever it would probably be Swans. Their music is so diverse ranging from industrial/no wave to gothic rock to alternative folk to post-rock.

Personally I like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin , but between the two I would probably have to choose Black Sabbath. There is just something about their music that makes me keep on listening to it.

My pick has to go to Switchfoot. Their music never gets old, and every single album --with the exception of Vice Re-verses-- is a must have in my opinion.

A band I would listen to forever? Queen. That's my first choice, definitely.

Nightwish is the second choice. I knew that band from a friend of mine in real life, back when Tarja was the singer of the band with her beautiful voice. The new singer is amazing. I didn't like the one after Tarja and before the new singer, like most of Nightwish fans I guess.

Without a doubt, it would have to be a band called Dio. One of the best bands in metal history and massively underrated. Ten albums of perfection is enough for me.

When it comes to music for me, most of the time I only listen to the actual music. I don't really listen to any of the words or lyrics. Now with that said, there's really only 2 bands that I listen to, that I have actually found myself singing the lyrics to the most...and those bands are Metallica and Shinedown. I listen to plenty of other groups with the same type of music, but these are the only two I also sing lyrics to.

If I could only listen to one band for the rest of my life, I would need to be able to sing the words, too. Of course, it would be a very tough decision for me to make in the end, but I have to give Shinedown the edge over Metallica, because they have a lot of different songs that have different speeds and beats. Some of Metallica's stuff sounds the same, so I would listen to Shinedown for the rest of my life if I had to.

Hands down, Breaking Benjamin. I never tire of their music, and though I may go to other bands for a period of 2-3 weeks on occasion, they have enough variety and a few softer than usual and a few harder than usual songs that could vary the pattern too.
So that was kind of an easy pick for me, thanks for letting me get my thoughts down! Interesting idea for a thread to. xD
They're just so GOOD! And by the way that's LINKIN PARK's castle of glass as my audio, not breaking benjamin.

I would probably pick 5 Finger Death Punch. They are huge supporters of the military and it's veterans, and I love my rock music.

Third Day. Christian rock group that is out of this world amazing both vocally and instrumentally. If I could only pick ONE, that would be it. I would whine about it, though, because there are SO MANY other artists out there across all genres that I love and listen to. It would be really hard.
