Some of you have heard on all the issues going on in Ferguson, Missouri where an 18-year-old African-American named Michael Brown got shot from a Ferguson Police officer (named Darren Wilson) on August 9th, 2014 and went to court on November 24th, 2014 and was found innocent. After the news broke out, everyone got so furious after the announcement, everyone not just in Ferguson, Missouri, but every major city in the United States all went rioting and looting.

In the news, this all started on August 9th, 2014 with Michael Brown just walking down the street and Officer Wilson stopped him for who he think was a suspect that robbed a store in the vicinity, and they both got into a heated argument and Wilson tried to evade Wilson and then he opened fire at Brown (while he was unarmed), killing him in the process. 
After months and months of media reports on the situations, about the story on the shooting incident, and the trial of Wilson for the murder of Michael Brown; then 3 1/2 months later on November 24th, 2014, the trial of Wilson took place and they didn't indict Wilson (Which means they found him innocent). After the news spark with that, everyone went out and riot on the streets with multiple business being burned down and/or looted in, plus a lot of violence and unrest.


What are your thoughts on this riots going on in Ferguson?

I was following this story for a couple hours tonight, watching livestreams and such. The article claims that there were "more than 15 gunshots were heard as businesses throughout the city were looted or set ablaze". This is a HUGE understatement, as I heard fully automatic weapons being used during the time I was watching the livestreams. Quite simply, it is a horrific scene over there. Police aren't communicating their intentions well in some cases, and protesters are shooting at police. It's absolutely ridiculously awful, and my heart and prayers are with the innocent people there caught in the crossfire.

Also, I'd be ridiculously surprised if there is even one business un-tainted by this in the morning. From what I saw, everything but walmart was being attacked. Walmart wasn't, because a military vehicle was patrolling around the building. Even buildings like the City Hall were being broken into, according to a commenter on the stream I was watching.

I hope that is dies down soon.

If there's an actual reason to protest, it's being overshadowed by the people causing destruction.

There are riots in Seattle going on right now. According to the news station, Protestor's are blocking ramps on I-5, and Macklamore joined them. 
Before I found out that Macklamore was with the protestors up in Seattle ( which is 100% peaceful, yet flashbangs are being used, from what I know so far ) , I thought about going up there, but then I saw that it was already like 12:30 AM, so I decided not to make the hour drive. 

Well, that is a HUGE load of garbage. "He was innocent, and to show that, we are going to steal, burn, and kill people!" What happened, has everyone's brain become pudding? I hope the police crack down on those people, they've hurt enough people and businesses already. Just...What is wrong with everybody?

Ironically, I was just reading this article. http://www.policeone.com/ferguson/articles/7782643-Why-Officer-Darren-Wilson-wasnt-indicted/ This is a police recourse someone shared on my FB news feed. I find it ridiculous that they cry for "justice" for their community, when they go and break every law they can. The Police should shut them down. If they don't, they won't like the escalation. 

I hope that people will just realize their stupidity, but this most likely won't happen.

IgorBird122 : Actually, indicted means charged with a crime. A jury met to decide whether or not to put the officer on trial. When the jury decided not to charge the officer, then the riots started.

It's important to realize that even though the rioters are doing wrong, that doesn't change the fact that a man has died. From what I've read there was more than enough evidence to take Wilson to trial.

thing1 : From what Iv seen the very vast majority of protests in seattle have been peacefull, the few people who tried to start trouble where no where near large enough or forcefull enough to be called rioters.

Race riots are racist, how are they any better than the (supposed racist)police?
Police officers have been injured in this violence, and like any ob, most are just trying to live their ife day to day. Maybe this was racism. Maybe it was prejudice because he was young therefore, crimminal. Maybe he reacted threatiningly to the police officer. I dont know, I wasnt ther. |nd these people shouldnt presume to know either.
Killing more people wont do any good.

The grreatest Irony is that the 'community' was hurt by the killing. How many people, black white asian, have had their cars torched, propertys robbed, lifes threatened. The rioters have caused more harm than the police officer.
I never will understand the Logic.
We are unhappy with the people governing our land. In response to this, we will torch all our land.

How often people fight for something, only to destroy it in the ensuing chaos. When the flames die out they will have to ask them selves the question, what have they achieved?

i think they where just looking for an excuse. the looting and burning is just for their persinal enjoyment. like oh hey that tv looks nice 2 weeks later barb come on where getten us a tv better then them black fridays 

With Riots from NYC about the choke hold  and now the Cleveland story about how a  white cop shot a black 12- year old kid for having a BB gun,   I wonder something , IF

The Roles were reverse   A black cop shooting white kids or a black cop putting a White male in a Choke hold..  If The Roles were Reverse would  The TV News and  and social media have a field day about it..?

Just think about my question  before you answer it..

Because of all the contradictions in this story - many claim Brown actually tried to disarm the policeman - I'd rather not state an opinion. However, I can say that the police in general completely lacks accountability. When was the last time a policeman was convicted for murder?

There are hundreds of stories where the police clearly abused its powers. I mean come on, people with Down Syndrome are fairly easy to recognize; do they need to be shot if they don't obey immediately?

Many don't seem to want accountability. People filming the police, although it's their constitutional right as long as they don't interfere" are often met with violence.

Finally, many times that "good" cops try denouncing "bad" cops, THEY are the ones in trouble.

In short, unless police accountability gets in the mores, more Ferguson are likely to happen
