Ok so here's what everyone has said so far (including me, excluding those who weren't sure):


November = 3

December = 4

Sighs* I would had been the first to post in here, but I didn't....since my psx has gone off wrong on me. Anyways this is a good idea. I like the suggestions that are coming in so far.

I was originally thinking November would be best so that the results and stuff could be done on December 3rd, but after reading through everyone else's thoughts, I kind of like the December idea more now.

One other suggestion, maybe also discount the Game Accelerator item along with the PSX item since they go together fairly well?

Awesome idea. PlayStation month should be a month encouraging users to raise Vizzed to buy the PSX item, or just to let us use it free for a month, or maybe have it where the price for that item is cut in half for a limited time!

I think the added bonus of PS Month is Vizzed users can use the PSX item for free all Dec. I've been waiting to try the item!

wormelytyrese : it'd just be free for a day but it's be nearly half off during that month.

jokool : Because of the new Playstation games, I might have to discontinue the 'Game Accelerator' item. More info on that later.

Davideo7 :  Did you count me towards the December vote, or as someone undecided?  Just in case... I think my preference would be December.  I know I still hesitate to say it just because it might make some things more difficult for you, but I think it's the most 'festive' and 'fun' idea.  Maybe you could hire a few extra staff who only have ONE specific task, and their jobs can be temporary?  (To help with any of the tasks that make a December celebration more difficult)

Well I completely forgot to mention that traditionally all of the competitions in December are Christmas related. If I did Playstation month in December, this would interfere with that since part of the point of the Playstation month is to make all of the competitions Playstation related.

But because of what I just mentioned above, I think I might make November Playstation month anyway if no one has any real objections.

The Playstation month being in November to me is like a countdown. It's sorta like the 25 days of Christmas or the 12 Days of Christmas, they are a countdown to Christmas and they don't take place after Christmas.

Singelli : I know you were on the fence but if you changed your vote, it'd be a tie. Hopefully what I said above will persuade you.

Davideo7 :  That is true about the Christmas competitions I guess. I don't know much about PS games. How many Christmas PS games are there?  Maybe you can do a PS Christmas?

Singelli : I don't know of any Christmas Playstation games but I'm sure there are a few. Actually I did think of 1, The Grinch. The problem though with doing Christmas Playstation games is that not everyone has access to the Playstation games on vizzed and I want everyone to be able to participate in the Christmas competitions.

Davideo7 :  Well as part of the celebration, you could open them up for JUST December?  Or would that cause too much strain on the server / other problems?

If there's only one or two Christmas PS games though, I don't know that it'd be worth it.  

November is sounding better after all.  I guess if you do November, in your announcement you can just tell everyone it needs to be celebrated a month early in order to keep the traditional Christmas theme competitions.

Singelli : Too risky for legal reasons and yeah, it could suck up a lot of bandwidth.

What I could do is make the November competitions end on December 3rd.

I think if you're going to do it in November, just let it be done in November.

I'll go for the November decision. I didn't think about the amount of work that would need to be done, that should make it a vote 6:4 for November. But as Singelli said, "But that's just my two cent's worth. XD" Your decision is the best one here, I support what you want here.

Singelli : December 3rd is when the Playstation officially turns 20 years old, it'd be like a countdown to the date, a lot of companies do things like that. For example, IGN reviewed 1 Nintendo game every day until Nintendo turned 125 (they started doing that 125 days before the anniversary). An advent calendar is another similar example where you open up a door and receive a new gift each day for 25 days until Christmas.
