I would've posted this in my news thread that this is related to, but I have the last post in that thread and no one is going to post there anytime before I take quite a break from Vizzed.

School is going to be more intense than I thought. In the first trimester, I have English, Game Design A, History, JROTC (the class about citizenship and other important stuff), AND Intro Physics. Good lord. I don't think I'll have even
one good hour of spare time each school day for Vizzed after I begin having to do a lot of work for those classes. 2nd trimester should be even worse. I'll have a computer document class, Algebra I, History, English, AND Spanish II. UGH! And in 3rd trimester I'll have Art Foundations (WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY?), JROTC, Intro Chemistry, and Algebra I. HOLY CRAP.

As if that isn't enough to worry about, Joe won't be in ANY of those classes, same with Audrey, and most likely same with Isaac. So yeah, school will be so intense this year. And I want so badly to get more real life friends. Thank god I can hang out with my 3 school friends outside of school. I'm glad that I got some hard classes, but what I have is too many. And as if all THAT isn't enough to worry about, I'm getting my wisdom teeth taken out in around a month, and I'll have to be out of school FOR A WEEK.

Of Joe, Isaac, Audrey, and I, I'm actually the luckiest. Joe has some different, harder subjects and Audrey and Isaac have a bunch of honors classes. Yikes. How am I still excited for high school? Well, it's a new experience, I have a greater chance than ever to make new friends, and I can get used to having to work so dang hard every day.

Today is my last day on Vizzed before I take a break until Labor Day weekend at the earliest. I'll try to be very active and talk to all my friends.

Here are the summons:

JROTC is a military class... It's like a high school level of West Pointe Academy, for a lack of a better way to explain it.

Whoa, you've got a lot to do in real life. Good luck with all the stuff. It's sad to see you go, though.
Vizzed will surely miss you a lot.

As, EideticMemory said, stay strong and good luck (again).

Aw man, I'm really sad to hear you don't have a lot of time. So far I can still handle school and Vizzed but I think there might come a point I should be offline for a few days to focus on school. I hope you will have time to catch up in the weekend and good luck

PacmanandMariofan : Well, it's upsetting to think that we won't be able to talk for quite a while, but I am very happy for you since you've gotten quite a number of difficult classes. It does seem like a bit much, though. Forgive me, but I've had very little access to Vizzed this summer, and I am currently using it with my 3DS. I would love to say much more, my friend, but it would take forever due to this system's laggy web browser. I hope you, along with all my other friends, will understand. There's not much more I can do at the moment besides wish you luck and hope to hear from you later. I know you can do it, Pac! We're all rooting for you!

Best wishes,

Kimmeh!

My apologies for the late reply. Anyways, good luck in school man. School can sometimes get harder and harder as you move on but you just have to keep trying your best until you succeed. I've also went through the same kind of pain last year and before that and I'm about to go through it again.

Good luck man. Just do your best and you can easily handle it!

I'm back after surprisingly just 2 days, and changed. In all good ways. And I'm going to be making some huge decisions soon. I'll explain later in the post.

thing1 : Thanks, I couldn't think of a good way to explain it. I'm not going to be in the military but I'm still taking that class since it's for everyone and the class isn't mainly to prepare people for the military. Instead, it's mainly for making students better citizens, and helping them graduate high school.

EideticMemory : JROTC will help me a lot with high school.

pikappa2001 : That's going to be normal all throughout high school, and I'll probably leave Vizzed right after my Senior year... which is 4 years from now. I'll likely want and/or need to move on by then.

juuldude : Most likely, that point will be when you have to study hard for exams.

greenluigi : It scared the crap out of me at first. Yep, I'm not scared anymore. Because of how my classes are (especially JROTC) and who's in them.

NintendoFanKimmy : Like I said, I'm happy about getting a lot of hard classes, but 2nd and 3rd trimester are too crazy. 1st is fine, however. I've been so sad about your inactivity, but it's OK. I understand how much of a pain typing in the 3DS browser is, because I've used it for posting on Vizzed before as well. Please tell me all the stuff you wanted to say in your post sometime that it won't be a pain to do so.

mohammedroxx3 : That's fine. I feel better getting really stressed out and doing my best than I do when I get really stressed out and give up.

Thank you so much for replying, guys! (Holy cow, only one emoticon so far. I've been trying to stop using emoticons so much because I'm annoying my
self with it. )

Well, my first week of high school is over. A lot of good things and a lot of bad things happened in the 2 days I've been in high school, and I can tell that I'm in for quite a ride. ^^

Thursday didn't count as the first day of high school since it was freshmen orientation day. Before classes started, everyone had to report to the auditorium for our orientation groups. Most people in my group I already knew, so I was glad that I was in that group. Each group contained 2 mentors that have already experienced high school for a couple years. One of them was chatty, the other wasn't. (Of course it was the girl that was chatty! XD) They were both very nice. We all got to know each other and got shirts. Then we came up with a dance in the gym (because we had to ), did a teamwork exercise in the auditorium, and took a tour of the school.

After that, I lost the group. I was following them, and I lost them because they were going too fast and the hallways were crowded. So, I went with my friend Joe into the auditorium and voted for some things for the Class of 2018. In the middle of it, someone in my group came in there and talked to me. She said that she has been looking everywhere for me, and I told her that I lost the group while following them. We tried to find the group, but we couldn't. The hallway was crowded and we didn't know what room they went in. She told me to go back to where I was. XD It wasn't until several minutes later that I realized she followed me in there. When I got lunch right after that, I found someone else that was in my group. But I didn't see the whole group. I looked, and it was easy to see everyone in front of me.

Joe and I passed each other multiple times that day, and same with Audrey and I. Joe isn't even in my lunch period, and I don't think Audrey and Isaac are, either. Joe and I ended up being in the same lunch period anyway because I didn't know what lunch period I had and I was so hungry. The schedule doesn't show when your lunch period is this year.
I started my first period class soon after that. Every class was 15 minutes, woohoo! I was right: none of my friends are in any of my classes. However, I'm still really happy with who is in my classes. Each one has a lot of people I know and like, and multiple people that I've talked to in 8th grade. Except for Game Design A, which has more troublemakers than good students.

A funny and outgoing guy that thinks I'm very awesome (and I think he is too) is in my English class, a guy that didn't start any chaotic crap at my lunch table is in my History class, Audrey's best friend Hailey is in my History class as well (I think I'm her 3rd best friend, which is OK with me, especially since she has many friends). Also, the same guy that I said is in my History class, is in my Science class as well, and a really shy guy that talks to me sometimes is in my Intro Physics class, and many people I know and like are in my JROTC class, including him. And finally, a really shy girl is in my JROTC class too. I'm happy that she's in that class not so I can become friends with her (since I don't want to right now), but because I think she's going to change so much, and I love a lot to see people change for the better. Same with the shy guy I mentioned.

Today (which I'm talking about for the rest of this post), I realized I can finally relate to quite a few people in school shyness-wise, which is fantastic. Audrey's friend Hailey is really shy, and in my History class, I'm apparently the only one that talked to her and wanted to be her partner. I ended up being partners with the guy at my lunch table because he asked me. Next time, though, I'll ask her if she wants to be my partner. I feel really bad for her because I've never seen her that quiet and shy. She didn't seem to be happy either until I said hi to her. I'm going to wait a while to ask her if we can talk outside of school, because I feel much more comfortable talking to her more in school first. I've always been that way. Took me 4 years to finally ask Joe if we can talk outside of school XD I'm pretty sure that Hailey isn't shy for me because when I hung out with her and Audrey at a bowling alley, she talked to me quite a bit, and she said bye to me after that. Also, she seemed to get happier when I said hi to her and she looked at me and said hi back right away.

A lot of shy people apparently don't struggle to start a conversation with me. Some people aren't shy but almost never start a conversation with me because they have nothing to say. If I really want to talk to someone, but I have near nothing to say, I just say hi because I know they'll appreciate it. It's different in real life than it is on Vizzed.

By the way, it's hard for me to say hi to people when a crowd is around them, regardless of who's in the crowd. So I haven't said hi to Audrey at school at all. Joe usually doesn't have a crowd around him, so I say hi to him every time. XD

Today before 1st period, a popular girl I know from 8th grade (a lot of girls have talked to me in high school already even though I've been so quiet ) asked me if I'm a nice person (I think she noticed that last year and wanted to make sure that I haven't changed). I said "Yes!" She asked me to hold her stuff and drop it off at her desk. I knew where it was, because I'm good at memorizing where people sit in class. The door wasn't open yet, and she left because of that, so that was pretty awkward. Haha I was worried that someone would say something about it and I would have to explain it. But nope. The door finally opened like 5 minutes later. I dropped off her stuff (I made sure that it was only her stuff that got there XD) at her desk, and after she came back, she gave me a piece of gum. I thanked her, she walked away, and then I looked at the wrapper and saw that it was the sticky type of gum, which will get stuck in my teeth because of my braces. I did a facepalm and then put it in my supply pouch. Later, it opened by itself because I moved supplies around in there. I did a facepalm again. I'm not chewing that. XD

Like I said in the beginning of this post, I've changed in all good ways in just 2 days because of high school. I'm now more confident about talking to people and doing them favors like the one I mentioned above, I have a more positive attitude about my classes, and I feel that I'm finally ready to overcome my shyness for good. ^^

I think so, for now I can go on Vizzed many times but later on I might have to do that yeah.

So from what I can understand: More and more girls talk with you (always a good thing BD), many shy people also like to talk with you, you're still hanging around with Joe and that chewing gum wasn't very good? Sounds like you have had some good days so far. I hope that at the end of the year you will be less shy, In three years I became less shy as well The American schools sure sound very different compared to the Dutch schools but also interesting, which topics do you like? I like languages a lot.

juuldude : Yep. This has been my best start to a school year by far. I said all that stuff because I wanted everyone to know what made high school so awesome for me and the kind of stuff that randomly happens to me, such as a girl asking me to drop her supplies off at her desk.

I like English, Game Design A, History, and JROTC. So, I like every subject I have except Intro Physics.

Your school has great subjects, our school doesn't have Game Design or JROTC (I believe we have something similar to that though).

I'm glad to see that you had a great start so far. I think my best start was last year or two years ago. This was a good start but not great either.

Sorry for the late reply.

That's a lot of classes! But I'm sure you will be able to successfully do these. And it's nice to see you got a great start! If you need help with anything, just PM me. I like to help my friends, like you.

No longer going to summon people to get them to answer, because even that isn't working very well anymore. From now on, I'll just ask you in profile comments if you haven't responded within a few days. I understand that sometimes people are busy and forget, even I do, and I usually have a lot of spare time.

I'm so glad I wasn't on Vizzed much this week. There was so much stuff that was important for me to focus on, and I was very stressed, cranky, and didn't feel like talking to most people. High school got much worse because I kept struggling to talk to people, even ones that I know, and I was doing a crappy job of paying attention in ALL of my classes, even JROTC. I had a negative attitude and didn't like myself. Yesterday, that disappeared. All I had to do was talk to people about my problems. I continued putting it off because I thought I was gonna keep having more problems and that nothing would get better until they went away. I had to talk to my parents for over half an hour and Audrey (because she understands them the most) for around 15 minutes to feel much better.

When I was talking to my parents, I was so close to crying, only because of ONE THING. In JROTC, I failed to pay attention, my stress was building up, and when my instructor told me to say a command, I shut down. I went into a huge panic, and didn't say it. The instructor persistently tried to get me to say it, but I didn't. My voice would've really screwed up if I did (because of the stress and sadness). I was silent for a few minutes after that, and I still managed to screw up again and cause an inconvenience to the whole class AGAIN. I couldn't do a push-up properly. So the instructor had a sophomore teach us how to do a correct push-up. I think I finally did it, and I pulled many muscles in my upper body. They still hurt a lot when I move them, and it's 2 days later.

Ever since I called Audrey 2 days ago, I haven't had any of the problems I mentioned. All I needed was for the stress to go away and for me to be able to pay attention in class more. Now I can easily talk to everyone (), I can pay attention well, and I have a few more friends!

Of course now that my problems are gone, I saw other people's problems and that made me sad again. A girl in my JROTC class has social anxiety, and everyone in my class got to see its worst effect today. She's fine with talking to one person at a time, but she can't talk to a crowd of people. In JROTC today, the class played a game in which everyone catches a ball and tells some things about him/herself. When it was her turn, she hid her face and started crying. The room fell silent until one of the instructors went over to her and tried to make her feel better. He told us that she said what her name is. That was it.

And she didn't participate in any of the activities, even the kickball game. I looked at her once in a while, and noticed that she was watching us. She didn't look sad anymore, just serious. She sat in the bleachers the whole time. I'm so glad she's in my class, because I'm going to try to figure out a good way to help her to at least feel better. I'm going to try to say things that definitely wouldn't worry her. I don't even feel comfortable talking to her because I barely know her at all since she's so shy. It's worth a try though

Obviously, high school is helping me a lot to change, especially JROTC. Now that my stress and load of worrying is over, it's much easier for me to talk to people.

I'll probably be doing major updates for another week or two and then stopping. I don't expect much major stuff to happen after that besides the same old, same old, like me getting new friends. After that, I'll just PM my friends everything because that's more convenient than constantly posting that stuff.
