Contributions to the site are just as important as donations. Content is what helps bring in new users and content is what helps keep current users interested.

Well you certainly succeeded, and I might quote you on the robot comment, if you don't mind my plagiarism.

Also, an interesting thing to note: I checked view speed yesterday, and found that at it's slowest point (done prior to 9 PM CST), the site was getting thirty-five views per second, and sixty-five views per second at the highest traffic level. At that rate (assuming the activity level drops significantly overnight in the States) we should hit the next billion in just over a year, if my math is correct. Think we'll make a big deal over 2,000,000,000?

Eirinn : Lately we've been averaging 1.5 million views per a day so at that rate, it'd take 650+ days to hit 2 billion views which would take nearly 2 years. I don't think the 2 billion views will be as big of a deal and I'd probably wait until 5 or 10 billion before making a post about the view count again.

Oh, I was thinking we were getting 2.5 a day. Whoops. My bad. Well it's still saying a lot that the site has become so popular, and I fully expect it to keep growing at a rapid pace as well. Nice work here, David.

legacyme3 : and I are the only ones even close and we have over 600,000 words before we will catch up. It does help that you have 9000 posts ahead of us but still.... that's a crazy amount of words.

It helps all three of us are averaging close to 60 words per post.

It'll obviously take time for either of us to reach 2,000,000 (what with neither of us being as active as we have been in the past for various reasons) but I think we'll probably be the last two to hit it for a long time when we do. Nobody is really close to us. It took you about 9 years to get where you are, and it took me a little over 3 to get where I am. The average user of this site isn't likely to get there within any short amount of time.

Also come to think of it, I do not believe I typed 2,000,000 words in my whole life. I hope you achieve many more before you have kids and get tied down to a 3rd party perspective.(get it)

So EXP is different than Post EXP? For a second I was confused, 'cause I have nearly 2,000,000 EXP. I checked the memberlist and I have around 125,000 Post EXP. Still, yay for me for being #94 in Post EXP!
