I'll apply, but most likely you've seen my layouts but haven't actually realized they are mine, User uses a couple of mine on occasion, Nintendo fan Kimmy uses ones made entirely by me so far as far as I can tell. So I'll throw out a application, worse comes it worse I end up closing the shop.

Frodlex : I'll take a look and have mrfe look too at your layouts.

The way Singy screenshotted them and put them on her shop thread would be awesome, if you can do it that way.

Singy, I usually give people nicknames if theirs are long. Glad you like the one I gave you.

vanelan : Here's one I did, I tailored is specifically to fit the picture decently, I'm satisfied with the results but I wouldn't call it my best work, just the easiest to grab as it is my most recent.

So uh, I use to have a Layout Shop..but I'm going to assume that it's a bit too old to resurrect, so this will be my flag to throw in saying "I'm really interested in re-inventing the shop for those who need layouts from me."

If this counts, I'm applying for it. If there's other ways I forget about, I could use some pointers.

I'd love to see some more samples, because one or two layouts isn't always an accurate picture of the creator's skill. If you guys wouldn't mind trying to get 3 different layouts either linked or shown in this thread, I'd definitely appreciate it!

Also, we'll still consider others for the position. There isn't a limit of 2 applicants, lol. Any trusted+ member can apply. I don't want people saying they didn't apply because it looked like we were exclusively looking at Frod and pacman.

mrfe : Do we have to make new ones or just link ones we previously made before?

pacman1755 : Your choice, imo. Just remember, these layouts are what we'll accept or deny you on most likely.

We still haven't gotten a reply here regarding samples.

Also, with only two applicants it might be a really easy choice (2 applicants - 2 slots = perfect). Still, we'd prefer to have others apply, just because we'd like anyone interested to have a chance.

mrfe : I've decided to apply for this.

The first example of my work in mrfe's post right above this one. I like the use of color in that one. Specifically, I accurately matched the color of the border with the dominant blue of the pic and that was not just a lucky guess. Also, I like how the background itself does not appear elongated. Also, please notice the font in the signature is unique.

For my second example I'll use the layout that I am posting with right now. Washington Cross-dressing the Delaware. Please notice the fade to black on the right side of the background pic. It was not part of the original pic and was something that I added using a secondary program. Again, the signature font is unique and the pink font color is perfectly matched to the color of  Washington's dress by color sampling the dress itself. The last thing that I'll point out is that the border of the text box is a different style from the previous layout and the interior of the text box is only partially opaque.

My final example can be found here. The background pic actually consists of 4 layers. Each tombstone was uniquely altered from a sprite template by myself. The flowers were also cut from a separate sprite template. Finally, there is the moving GHOST sprite in the signature. I altered that sprite as well to give this monochrome Gameboy GHOST red eyes.

No doubt I still have a lot to learn but I really enjoy making these and hopefully will learn more with further experimentation.

Why is it not a single person did what I suggested and made screenshots of just the layouts? ><
We will make our final decision either 12/31 or 1/1

I have no idea what a lay out page is so could some one tell me what it is. Also how do you make a thread I want to know how.

They are available for purchase or can make them yourself if you choose to do so.
