So for many people Christmas is only 15 days away but is it really the most wonderful time of the year? Or is there a specific time or day of the year holiday related or not that has more meaning to you personally? Pretty interesting to think how many people really do believe it is the most wonderful time of the year

Always a nice time I think because people go visit family and they have a good dinner,exchange gifts and it's a day where I think no one can be mad or angry at anything,like Kent Brockman from the Simpsons said "Whether you're Jewish or just non Christian,everyone loves Christmas"

People start putting premiums on time spent with their families and they look at the bigger picture during Christmas.  Family and tradition and being with other people gets magnified and folks finally appreciate being around each other, at least in my experience.

To me, any day where I wake up and eat breakfast is the most wonderful time.  But it's the chance to really talk to people and connect with your neighbors and family that allows the season to be the "most wonderful time of the year."

Christmas has always been my favourite holiday. I don't really get to see much of my cousin's, aunt's and uncles outside of the holidays, so Christmas Eve and Christmas are really special to me in that sense. And it was my Grandpa's favourite holiday. He passed away a few years ago, so although this time of year can be tough without him, it's also really nice to just remember all the great times we had together on that day while he was here and uphold all of our little grandpa/granddaughter traditions.

Anyway, that's why I think it is the 'most wonderful time of the year', just finally being able to get together with family and celebrate.

It's odd for my family Christmas is too hectic we are going in all sorts of directions and no one is happy. Thanksgiving is the year that everyone goes to one home and we all have a good time.

Thanksgiving for us is a time where we are all thankful for each other and it's not all about the gifts it's about family and those you love.

This Christmas is the first one that we are not going to many places.  So I think things might be changing for the better!  I'll report on how things go.

Well lets see the parents give and the children receive so I'm gonna look at this from both views.
Since the parents put their time and money into the gifts I'm sure they can find Christmas to be quite a stressful time.
But since the kids receive I'm sure they find this to be their favorite holiday.

Yeah I agree, Christmas is a festive time of the year and perhaps the most expensive. But I will admit that I do enjoy it. It does make for lots of great memories. I like the way austipokedude summed it up. It is an expensive time for parents to try and make Christmas good for their kids, so it can be rather expensive and stressful, not to mention it plunges them into debt. But on the other hand, the kids get just about everything they want, so I definitely see it as a plus on their behalf. Overall though I think that it is a really good holiday for friends and family and giving. 

So even though a lot of kids barely know what Christmas even is, or what the true reason is for why we even celebrate it since all they care about is the material they receive, I still think it is an awesome time of the year. Know if only it would actually snow....

It's basically the most wonderful time for the kids. For the grown-ups, it's the stressful, and pocket draining depending on the things on the wishlist. Although, it is nice to see family get togethers during this time.
