Unlike many Pink Panther fans, I don't hate Steve Martin. I think he was very funny, and made Clouseau his own, while still keeping a similar charm.

But I do like Peter Sellers the best; he is the "original", and thus when I think of Clouseau, I think of him. Maybe it's also because his movies were a little better written.

I'm not like most people where they think the "original" is the best one. I actually prefer Steve Martin. I think he portrayed the idiotic french inspector perfectly in his own way. It may also be the reason that I grew up with watching him that I prefer him over Peter Sellers. I don't dislike Peter Seller I just prefer Steve Martins version of him better.
