Hello good people of Vizzed! It's Black Bot here with a Super Mario Bros 3 (SMB3 for short) review!

Super Mario Bros. 3 (SMB3 for short), Is one of the greatest games ever. Travel through challenging levels and challenges on your way to save the princess!

Let's hop right in to the action.

Graphics : 10 / 10 - Perfect score

Okay. The graphics was just amazingly beautiful for a game released in 1985 on a quite old, and a popular system back then.?

Bricks: The bricks were a brownish colour, and Mario hits it with his head or turtle shell, A coin or item shall come out. The items came out perfectly, and looked the way they needed to be. Coins looked like a regular coin, yellow and kind of big for it to come out of a brick, lol.

Items:?

?Mushroom : Okay. This is a cool item. This makes Mario / Luigi go bigger. The mushroom does look like a real mushroom kind of. It is Red and white and when Mario / Luigi eats it, they get bigger quickly. I personally like the graphics of the mushroom. It looks cool even though it is a small part. 9 / 10 for a rating for the mushroom.

? Star : This looks like a yellow star. Ones Mario / Luigi touches it, they become invincible and they look rainbow. This is just beautiful in my opinion. The best graphic is this game in my opinion. And the star has eyes which makes it COOLER personally! Rating for star: 10 / 10 - Perfect score.

? Fire flower : When Mario / Luigi / other character touches / eats it, they have fire power. Mario has White and Red overalls when eaten / touched Fire Flower. Luigi has White and Red overalls when eaten. This also makes Mario / Luigi shoot Red / orangeish fireballs out of them. The fireballs looked good while they knock out enemies.. The fire balls looks good overall. Now back to the Fire Flower. The Fire Flower pretty much looks like a pretty flower that has eyes and such. This little pixel awesomeness deserves a 9 / 10 for now.


Characters:
?Mario : ?Mario is the main character of this game. He has Blue overalls and a Red shirt underneath it. He also has a mustache and brown shoes. (I think.) But in this game, you can't really see the mustache because of the 1980's quality back then. He also has a red cap / hat. 10 / 10
?Luigi : Mario's partner. Has Blue overalls and a Green shirt underneath the overalls. He also has a mustache and green hat / cap. 10 / 10
?Toad : The cute mushroom head that lives in the castle. Has a mushroom head that looks like a mushroom. He has a white diaper and a blue shirt. Cute character in my opinion. 10 / 10
Princess Peach : The princess of the castle. She has a pink skirt, Blond hair, and that is pretty much it. 9 / 10 (can add a little more.)
enemies : Goomba, Koopa Troopa, Bowser, etc.

The Goombas are Brown, small, cute little enemies. The Koopa Troopa have red / green shells and a yellow body. Bowser, the king of koopas has a Spiky Dark Green shell, a yellow body, and he is huge!

Levels: The levels looked nice with different types of colourful bricks and enemies.

Okay, I am finally done with that. :p

Sound: 9 / 10 (90%) Can be improved.

The songs for different things and places were kind of decent, actually. I like how they used totally different music for totally different levels. They also sometimes use the same music for different levels which most of everyone can tell.

Overall, I like the levels' music. But it wasn't good as I expected because there was only like 10 music things for the levels. That is the part I did not like. I wish they added different tracks and music to the game. :/

I like the places like the item house and the music for it. I also like the card game music which I think is the same.

They have the same music for all of the worlds (I think, still.).?
I believe this game has 6 - bit sound.. But this game also has very godly.. and great 8 - bit sound. This sound was much better than all of the Nintendo Entertainment System games, actually. I love the sound overall! I do not blame the sound because it was made in 1985. Anything that had the exact sound in 2013 would be rated a 5 or something. :p


Addictiveness : 8 / 10
This game has 8 worlds, filled with levels. When I beat this game, I do not really play much of this game much anymore. It gets kind of old sometimes. But the good thing is when you get a bunch of flying things if you complete the game!?

But when you lose badly, like me, You sometimes quit.. But sometimes you keep trying harder and harder.

I have nothing else to say here sadly. :/

Story : 10 / 10 - Perfect score

Once upon a time, Princess Peach was baking a cake for Mario. Then suddenly, Bowser, the Koopa king, kidnapped the princess!! Now Mario and Luigi has to save the Princess and rescue her!! Mario has to make his way up to the top. Enemies try stopping him from succeeding the mission. Will Mario rescue the princess or not? Find out in the brand new Super Mario Bros. 3 for the Nintendo Entertainment System!

Depth : 7 / 10 - Can be very improved. Especially with levels and worlds.

7 / 10. Quite not much depth in my very honest opinion.

I think there should be 10 worlds instead of just eight. And I also want more levels on each world. And the final castle should be a lot more longer and challenging... I also think there should be more regular levels so TAS would take over an hour to finish the game. And for a human's speed run? I'd say about 5 hours for complete with a good time, I don't know.

For me, I would suggest 15 worlds for hard - core players.

That will be great and it would be a perfect score of 10 / 10 if they could fix what I said exactly above me.

Difficulty : 8 / 10 :?

Okay, this is the most important and last section of the review for some people.

This game challenges me a lot so far. But when I completed it, and tried over and over again, It was easier and easier until I attempted a speed run.

When you complete it like I said above, it is easy. But what if you want to challenge yourself? D: I wish that they add more worlds and levels and change it completely to make it much better and complicated and challenging. That will sure lead the Difficulty to a 10 / 10, and the WHOLE game to a 10 / 10. But it is the old Super Mario 3! What should I rating this 8? I know that this is a hard, challenging game for most of you.

OVERALL : 9 . 5 / 10 . 0 (Can be improved by a LOT) - This game is awesome. But some things need to be improved. The graphics were just absolutely perfect, but the sound / audio needs to be improved! D: They could also add more levels and worlds and longer levels! They need much harder and tougher difficulty as well.

The biggest problem is still the Depth. :p It was probably the main reason the game got a 9 . 5 / 10 . 0 instead of a 10 / 10. It should be longer, but with difficulty combined. I know I keep mentioning that same thing over and over again, and that is how it is. :p

Black Bot : Pretty nice and good looking review, pretty much got a lot of clear words and all in order, I like it and I really love Super Mario Bros. 3, it's like my most favorite game in the whole series.
