  That's right, you heard me! The legendary Creation Trio of Sinnoh is coming to GameStop and EB stores at 3 different intervals. Not only that but the Pokémon you will receive in the distribution will be the Shiny versions of the trio making them even more rare. The event starts tomorrow. Players in the US can get Shiny Dialga from August 19th until September 8th, Shiny Palkia from September 9th until September 29th, and Shiny Giratina from September 30th until October 20th. Us event at local GameStop stores. For players in Canada, the Shiny Dialga event starts on August 30th, Shiny Palkia starting on September 13th, and Shiny Giratina starting on September 27th. Canadian events at local EB stores.

I noticed this a few days ago on Pokemon.com when I was checking out the site.
I don't think I will participate in this event but instead I will participate in the torchic with a special item distribution I just don't seem to care for the Sinoh legendaires.
I can't believe that Torchic will be the first starter with more than three evolutions.

Sounds really cool! I don't own any games after gen 3, but these events are really cool. Although the fact that everybody there gets one kind of ruins the charm of getting a shiny for real. Either way, this sounds awesome.

Ah well, not a big deal. Like stated above, it kinda ruins the fact of a shiny pokemon. Especially because they're legends. Still hoping for that MegaFurret appearing in X and Y, coming along with a sentret holding whatever you need.

I never really used legendary pokemon in general, and I couldn't care less if they're shiny or not. If an event  in-game required the shiny creation Trio, I'll just use pokegen (I'm not the one for competitive battling, really).
