For the entire Month of March, there will be unlimited Netplay. This means that there wont be any netplay restrictions. Usually you can only join sessions and need the special 'Netplay' item to create the sessions.
Hopefully this will encourage more netplay sessions to take place. Some recently asked questions: What is Netplay? It allows you to play many of the games in the Retro Game Room online in multiplayer mode with 1 or more other users. Some of the systems include: Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, N64, Nintendo NES and more. How do I create a session? Go to a game that supports netplay. Scroll down to the netplay section and click the link to create a netplay session. Fill in the info and your game will become ready for other people to join. How do I join a session? Each game that supports netplay will show a list of active sessions. You can also go to the lobby page (link at top of the RGR) and that page will have a list of all active sessions for all games. That page also has a chat room where you can talk with users and ask which games they'd be willing to play with you. (last edited by Davideo7 on 03-07-13 11:06 AM) |

Davideo7 : Thanks I actually made a mistake and replaced my netplay item with something else so now I can finally play it again or at least the month until I get netplay back.

It's a shame such a cool feature doesn't get much attention.
Whats even worse is whenever there is a contest most of the time it doesn't get a lot of attention or the participants don't play. Maybe having announcements whenever there are netplay contests can get more activity. But so it doesn't get annoying maybe you can have the option to subscribe to those announcements. This would be really helpful for people who don't know what the forum is. I'd be happy to create games every now and then. I haven't had much time lately though. |

Lol This is so funny. I bought the netplay item last night. Not even twenty-four hours later, it's free for a month. But I'll still have it after the month is over, so no loss. And I love that this is happening, because it's going to be alot of fun for those who can't afford it yet.

You know, if you need an advertising slogan for this, you could always use the cliché march Madness thing. XD And this would help... but I've already made my Mrs. Pac Man tournament a non Net Play tournament, so it is all good. Great idea though.

How do you start a net play session? I think there's supposed to be a button but I can't find it where the net play part of a game's description is but I can't find/see it.

I can't create one either, I wonder why that is, maybe because David didn't give everyone the ability to use Netplay yet? or maybe it is enabled at a certain time... I dunno.

Cho' Matt: That's exactly what netplay is. You go to a game page, go down to the netplay section and than click the link to create a session. Than your friend can either join your session from that page or from the lobby page.
