January 28th, Sunday, a common night in a nightclub, until... one of the members of the show group tried to make a foolish action, but cost the lives of many...
One of the members of the group took a signal pistol and fired pointing up, INDOORS, a fire started... people ran toward the only light they could see, hoping for a emergency exit, but all they found was... the bathroom, a bathroom with no windows, a bathroom with no way out.
Victims? 230, DEAD! Without including the injured.
When will Brazil open their eyes? You go to a nightclub, drink a lot and you want to leave, but you have to wait around 1 - 2 hours to pay because there are only 2 boxes to pay, and if you leave without paying you are lynched, underages go on these nightclubs and drink freely, being that the LAW DON'T ALLOW minor drink alcoholic drinks, but they drink and nothing happens, I didn't hear about a SINGLE establishment that let minors drink alcohol without suffering consequences from the law.

When will Brazil open their eyes? The corrupt politicians are letting this happen, nothing on the country changes, it is only getting worse and worse, politicians have to do something otherwise this could cause death to a lot of people.

I tell my father that I want to live in another country, but he says that other countries are the same. WRONG, each country may have it's problems, but it's not the kind of problems from Brazil, and there is no f***ing funk on other countries, only on this s*** country that is Brazil.

Not that I care, but I feel ashamed that I myself am Brazilian, I would rather live in EUA than Brazil, of course I would come to visit since there are places that I like a lot here, but most of the time I would like to be on United States.

mrfe : What makes me even more sad it's that the people who died were people who were just starting their lives, people with dreams, people who were ABOUT to acomplish their dreams.
The people who died were around 16 - 25...

heard about it, and unsurprised.
No security, no fire suppresion system, no emergency exit, unregulated corporations essentialy.
Until the government gets its arse in gear this will continue to happen.
Id be pretty pissed off if they were my government. Hopefully people will demand action to prevent a recurrence.

 

It's sad.

Nothing in terms of safety in case it would happen.

They were blocked from getting out because they didn't pay their tabs.

No systems to get rid of the fire.

No emergency exits or effort for it to be stopped or escaped from.

It's all a story of being prepared.

Wow two hundred and thirty people killed by one man that is so sad but it's true that they need to open there eyes my theory about the world ending because of people themselves may actually be true.

mrfe : There is no way I would be there, first because I never heard about the group before, and the main reason is because the incident happened at Rio Grande do Sul, and I live in São Paulo, it is very far away from me.

... I dont even really know what to say.  That sounds... just horrible.  It must have been such a big place to hold so many people, and in panic all those people couldn't find an exit? It's almost too hard to believe, and it's heart wrenching.  I can't believe the death toll... WOW.  And in one night nonetheless....

It reminds me of the Cocounut grove fire of Boston, USA in 1942 in so many ways. Too many people in a venue, fire exists blocked or locked and the security trying to block people inside to prevent them from leaving before they pay their checks!

Its always sad to hear about these kind of things. When people get cheap in safety, this is what happens sadly.

It's so sad for all the people's friends and family who were involved. My brother was killed in one of the recent shootings so my heart goes out to all of the people who are mourning their losses. It's one of the harder things life. Believe me... I know!
