Stevie 764 : Famous for being a big secret? That seems kind of contradicting, doesn't it?

o_0 There's no way for me to beat this at all, I never and EVER beat the mario games before. :/

rcarter2 : It was a big secret that Nintendo never put into the game. It is caused to appear by going into the very first pipe while the screen is scrolled very far to the right if you backwards crouch jump into the wall. In the NES Minus World, it would be a endless 2-2 underwater stage. FDS World -2 is World 2-3. So I can confirm the minus world in both systems:

NES World -1: Endless loop of 2-2.

FDS World -1: Underwater 1-3.
FDS World -2: Completly recycled World 2-3.
FDS World -3: Underground World 3-4 or World 4-4.

For speedrunning, I never have good luck using Andrew Gardkis' WR path that got him 4:58. In world 1-2, jumping the pirahna requires precise timing, I never have the luck for that part, World 8 slows me down a little. 8-2, I go cautionus. 8-3, It takes a while to get around all hammer bros. Then 8-4, I have to go slow at many parts and avoid death. So I have no chance of pulling a speedrun anywhere near David's 5-6 minute run.

Can our speed runs use secret areas? Like inside of world 1-2? I'm just wandering

goku123 : Have you looked at the Tip yet? If you haven't looked at the Tip yet, The Tip does say "All Warps are allowed". I hope this helped you.

Stevie 764 : Haha, I know the story and all. I was just being a smart alec. It is just funny to say something is both famous and a big secret (if you're famous, you aren't a secret. If you are a secret, you can't be famous).

Does anyone else here get screwed up on World 8 cause I really can't get to world 8-2.

 I got 6:40 I'm second now
I know I can be better than that since I lost a life/live at world 8-2; I lost at the half of that capitulo

Do you have to play every level or can you warp??

Grrr!!! Tried about 20 times and the best I have so far is 7:44. I think I could have gotten a 6:40 or better but right when I started the final world a fly landed right on my face. I guess I'll just try again later 

Hey David, Can you only post one speed run and you can't post another one? Because I was wondering if that was maybe unfair to the other players who posted their speed runs only once.

theweapon2 : If you get a better time, you can submit your better time and it should replace your previous time.

I took one screen shot again after beating the game, submitted that, then done the game again, submitted another one to update my time today. Is updating twice gonna cause me to be disqualified?

theweapon2 : There is no limit to how many times you can update your time. When you get a faster time, feel free to update it.
