This is gaming HEAVEN!!!When I first played Super Mario Bros 3  I. WAS. SPEACHLESS. When Sonic was being programmed this was it. It was amazing when the TERRIBLE Super Mario Bros 2 was being released here. This baby was born in Japan I've seen MANY people review this game like Some Call Me Johnny.   FINAL VERDICT. I loved this game  when I first played it (Actually I played Super Mario World before And its MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!) Well my writing got weird there so if I had to rate this with an 10000 out of  I would rate a 9999 out of 10000 so thank you and bye!

I love Super Mario Bros 3, it's one of my favorite games on the NES. I do not however, like this game more than Super Mario World for the SNES. That is probably my favorite game in the series.

Super Mario Bros. 2 was pretty different.. It didn't really fit the whole Mario Bros theme, except for the story and characters; the gameplay was weird. That's the only reason I didn't like it.

Besides those spin-off online Mario titles, this was the first one I played. But, I thought Super Mario World was better.

EDIT: Okay, I think the first one I played is Super Mario DX. My cousin had it for her GBC.

I agree with the thread's title... SMB 3 is a lot better than SMW, SMB 3 has more costumes, cool music, great game play... One of my favorite Mario games (just after SMB 2).

I liked Mario 1, hated Mario 2 due to the ending, liked this game, did like Mario world, but I loved Mario galaxy 2! Confusing pattern, isn't it?

I did like this game, but there was a huge sublimental message with the heart shape at the 2nd map part of world 8.
Never liked Mario 2, like I said, the ending was just a absolute waste of time, I could smack the cart with a hammer if possible and destroy the plastic part of the cart, then I would drill a hole into the circuit board of the chip inside the cartridge that does all the stuff in the game.
