I mean I kinda like having it there, but I do want to know why.

You mentioned last year (or early this year. I'm not too sure) that you were going to make a Vizzed theme Tecmo Bowl tournament in which users could create their own team using other Vizzed members. Do you still plan on doing that? If so, when would that begin?

Unfortunately I let this build up again and this time with 80 posts to reply to. This time it happened because I was busy selling ebay stuff. I'm pretty sure this will be my longest reply in this thread, it'll exceed 2,500 words.

mohammedroxx3 : I have not wore the Rainbow Banner yet, not even for a day. Even though my profile says I have, that’s actually an error and I plan to fix that error before the next Tour de Vizzed. I think it’d look cool on my name but it looks cool on anyone’s name. I’m fine with my yellow name.

megamanmaniac : There isn’t a Game Recorder position available but you could contact tRIUNE if you’re interested in doing that.

thephantombrain : Xbox, Playstation 2 and GameCube aren’t on the site for a bunch of reasons but here’s the main reasons:
1. There’d be too many legal issues with those systems.
2. They’d be very large and suck up a lot of bandwidth and disk space which would be expensive
3 There probably aren’t any good open source emulators for those systems
4. The games probably wouldn’t work for a lot of the users since they’d require a somewhat powerful computer
We have a limited selection of Playstation games because of disk space, bandwidth and the labor that goes into adding them to the site.
You mean those weren’t real questions? lol. The issues with Dreamcast would mostly be the same as the issues with the other systems I listed except issue 1, I don’t think that’d be an issue with Dreamcast.

Awesome-Kid : I’ll probably make a milestone thread for my 5000th thread since not enough users pay attention to thread count, I think a 3000 threads thread would be unnecessary.

thephantombrain : I’m always keeping an eye on the site, even when I’m not at my computer, and the best way to do this is to let a page on the site refresh over and over again. I chose that page because it doesn’t have any ads that are capable of being loud on it (unlike the site index, forum index, rgr index, etc). The reason that I don’t want an ad that is loud to start playing randomly, especially in the night, is because my son’s bedroom is right next to my office and they could potentially wake him up if the audio on my computer isn’t muted.

Good question, I’m surprised no one has asked about that before lol. I do check that page a lot though, just not as often as I appear to.

Awesome-Kid : Yeah I’d be willing to give up TV and Video Games for a week for $1000. Some weeks I’m too busy to watch TV or play games and I’m already not much of a TV watcher so it really wouldn’t hurt me too much.

The weather has been fine lately but we have had a lot of snow this winter and we’ve had some of the coldest days in years. I think we had temperatures as low as -25 degrees F and windchills even higher, probably -40 F or so.

supercool22 : I think the longest the site has ever been down was for for a day maybe. There has been a few times when the site was down on and off for a few days and it has been up with little no functionality (user login not working, parts of site down, etc) but the longest it has ever been down straight was about a day I think.

I’m not sure if there will ever be another RGR Plugin again, at least no updates with the current. Tom stopped working on it over a year ago and I have never been able to get him to want to work on it again. I can’t pass the project on to someone else either because he has the source code so if there was ever a new RGR Plugin, it’d have to be recreated from the ground up which would be very expensive since I invested $17,000+ into the current plugin

I think I could someday add DS games but it’d be quite a few years. GameCube would be difficult and expensive, even if I was legally able to add them to the site.

I’m not very familiar with zombie chickens so I can’t answer that.

SUX2BU : I started gaming when I was almost 3 years old so it’s really hard to know what my first game was. I do know that it was on a Nintendo NES. It most likely was Super Mario Bros but other possibilities include Bubble Bobble and Legend of Zelda.

Super Mario Bros probably isn’t my favorite game but it’s pretty close. I use to play it during my down time quite often on my modded PSP and DS. It’s a nice pick up and play game (for speed running purposes) assuming you have a way to quickly resume your progress.

Mistress : If I invest money into something, I always like to have something up to date. I stick to Windows Phones since they have “xbox” games on them that allow you to earn achievements. I do plan to get into developing mobile apps so it would be beneficial for me to have up to date mobile devices to do testing on.

Ramon2000510 : I don’t think I’ve ever been asked about my favorite Xbox 360 game. I would definitely have to pick Halo 3. Epic multiplayer, epic campaign (with co-op), a ton of awesome features such as a theater, forge (map creator), etc. I’ve got some great memories with that game and it has very high replay value, especially since they give you a reason to play the campaign more than once (I’m pretty sure I beat that game 5 times since it launched).

thelastrequim : Do you mean ‘when will forums’ be up to rent again’? There’s currently enough rented forums so I don’t think that’ll be available for a long time.

Awesome-Kid : Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed is probably my favorite racing game. I love that series and so do my wife and daughter so I hope they keep making them.

I probably spend around 10 hours a day on my computer but hopefully that’ll change this summer. I’d prefer not to have to spend so many hours on my computer.

farmboy8 : I get asked this once in a while. The original site was ‘Viz’ but Viz was already a company so I modified it to ‘Vizzed’. I got ‘Viz’ by playing around with my name.

supercool22 : It’s pretty rare for me to log out of Vizzed, I usually only do it when I’m testing stuff.

SUX2BU : Originally the site was completely coded by other people. I’m not sure how many users contributed to the original code of this site but it was at least 5. Eventually I got the skills to code myself and started replacing code that others coded. The site still contains code from others but the majority of the site’s code is by me.

I’ve invested 1000s of hours coding this site. It has been an ongoing process for nearly 10 years.

Black Bot : The VCS will probably be retired.

Razor-987 : We might open up an application at the end of May since a lot of users will have a lot of free time this summer. Since I demoted a bunch of RGR staff lately, we could definitely use the extra help. It really comes down to if tRIUNE thinks we need the extra help.

tgags123 : Probably Pizza because it’s hard to get sick of and it has a combination of “food groups” on it. There’s a lot of foods that you probably couldn’t live off of if that was all you ate but I think you could live off of Pizza, although you’d be pretty unhealthy and possibly overweight.

mohammedroxx3 : Me letting this build up for the Tour de Vizzed is 90% coincidence. If I had my way, I’d never let this build up because it’s a huge task to have to answer all these questions at a time.

kirbmanboggle : The original version of this site was very primitive and was basically just a forum but it was still a fun community, just not nearly as active. I don’t think I ever expected the site to get this active and I never thought I’d take it in the directions I’ve taken it in. Hopefully I can continue to expand and surprise my future self even more.

Black Bot : When this thread gets backed up, I usually wait to respond to everyone when I have a day with a lot of hours to spare. It can take 2-4 hours to reply to this thread when it gets really backed up.

Eirinn : Awesome to hear about your interest in the Turbo Grafx, it has always been a system I enjoyed and it never got the attention that it deserved. I think my favorite game for it would be Moto Roader.

I’m not sure what the first unique idea I came up with was. I do think the first unique idea on the forum I came up with was the trusted member feature. The first unique site related thing I’ve ever done probably was my RPG Maker 95 site. At the time, I’ve never seen a site with that required you to walk around in an RPG atmosphere just to navigate it.

I do like spicy foods but it depends on the food because I’m really picky when it comes to food.

JJGM1100 : According to my rules thread I made years ago, the ‘Vizzed’ status in battle does the following:
-Lose all bad stats
-Attack and Pow-Attack tripled;
-Defense doubled

Black Bot : When Vizzed shuts down, it definitely doesn’t save money, in fact it makes me lose money. Sometimes it goes down due to maintenance, sometimes it goes down because of complications with my host and sometimes it goes down because it is getting attacked.

This forum has been modified so much to the point that it’s not really considered an acmlm board anymore, even though it still has acmlm code, that only makes up a small portion (maybe 25%) of the overall site code.

thephantombrain : I didn't know that, sure makes me feel old since I remember those very early Gameboy commercials lol. I would love to be able to say "As way to celebrate Gameboy's 25th anniversary, I'm bringing to you all netplay for the Gameboy systems" but there just isn't a way for me to pull off So besides that, I don't know what I'd do special, maybe make a few competitions based on Gameboy.

I know you have LOTS of games, but I was wondering if you could have only 1 game from every console, what games would you pick?

Cactuar : I have a lot of consoles so I wont be listing all of them but I'll do 1 game from 10 consles (and it wont include handhelds). I should also point out that these games aren't necessarily my favorite game for each of the systems, basically I chose games that would offer a lot of entertainment (and in some cases, the games are my favorite for the system).

Nintendo NES:
Super Mario Bros because it's probably the first game I ever played and it's a great pick up and play game.

Turbo Grafx:
Moto Roader because it's one of my favorite racing games and I didn't already have a racing game on the list.

Sega Genesis:
Sonic the Hedgehog for its fast gameplay and awesome music.

Super Nintendo:
Super Mario World + All Stars because it has 5 games in 1 and all of the games included are great games, some of the best.

Playstation:
Final Fantasy VII because it's one of my most favorite games of all time.

Nintendo 64:
Perfect Dark because it has great replay value and the multiplayer is awesome.

Dreamcast:
Shenmue because it's also one of my most favorite games of all time.

Xbox:
Shenmue II for the same reason as Shenmue.

Wii:
Super Smash Bros Brawl because it has a lot of modes, high replay value and is very fun.

Xbox 360:
Halo 3 because it has a fun and fast paced multiplayer mode, a campaign that is so fun with so many things to do that I could play it over and over again (and I have 5 gimes), a forge mode which allows anyone to put their creativity to the test, and a theater mode to capture every singe thing you do in the game. In other words, high replay value.


This was actually a fun post to make, maybe when I get more time I'll make a list with all my systems and put even more details into it.
