This has been a question in the back of my mind for a while, but I never got around to asking anybody here. If you've played Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii then you've seen it. A boss in the Subspace Emissary mode. What is Rayquaza, and what game is it from? I feel pretty sure that it's a type of Pokemon, since that's what it looks like, but I could be wrong. I've never seen it anywhere until Smash Bros.

Rayquaza is a pretty bada** pokemon that many aspire to catch, it has a great set of moves, and once you have it, it pretty much levels any pokemon from the 3rd generation. It holds its own against fourth and fifth generations as well.

I believe in Emerald, you catch it at lvl 70, but I can't be sure.

legacyme3 : you are right. You catch him at lvl70, and it's really hard to catch him, unless you use a master ball, and you're better off using that on Latias and Latios.

Right. I end up using my master ball on whichever of those two I find first.

Rayquaza on the other hand, I can catch fairly easily by using false swipe with my imported scyther (who is level 100). I then proceed to paralyze it with my pikachu, and throw ultra ball after ultra ball. After wasting about 30. I catch it.

You can catch it before the elite four in Pokemon emerald, at level 70... it's completely broken. also, is has special attack equivalent to Kyogre's, and attack equivalent to Groudon's, and high speed. the only downside is that its defenses are low for legendary standards.
