When Earthbound was released for the super nintendo it soon made a breakthrough. This game is about a young protegy named ness. Ness is a young boy with phycic powers. When aliens land ness must go of on a journey accomonied by many friends along the way. The battle style is rpg format. Players can use items and spells to defeat enemeis along the way. Outside of battle you must solve puzzles using items you find along the way eyc etc. I think the graphics were great considering what time this game was from. I think overall this game deserves an 8 out of 10 very little flaws but this game was awesome

A review, eh? I'm up for a challenge, and I love rambling, so here goes...

One of the most valued, famed, and popular games on the Super Nintendo, Earthbound really doesn't look all too intriguing at first glance. With it's tiny, crude sprites and gameplay screen that makes you look like you're on LSD, it probably isn't the most appealing game to the eye. However, when it comes to just about everything else, it passes with flying colors. The plot, about a young boy named Ness who learns that he has psychic powers, is interesting and hilarious. With a story that never seems to get boring and tons of hilarious plot twists- such as monkeys that teach you to teleport- you'll find yourself laughing every minute. While the graphics themselves may not be the most impressive, each location is incredibly detailed and varied, recycling only a couple enemy sprites and even fewer battle pictures. The gameplay takes advantage of traditional RPG features- magic, experience, etc.- to their fullest and also introduces some very interesting features. With the widest, and, if you ask me, the best selection of weapons and items you'll ever find in an RPG, you'll find yourself using the "items" option more than anything else. The magic and attacking options, however, are not very impressive, with little variation of magic animation and no attacking animation whatsoever. The enemies in this game are both varied and very funny. They all have their own special abilities and each one requires a different technique to beat. The characters who defeat the monsters, of course, are also really fun to use. Each one has their own role and their own special ability that only they can use. With only four characters to choose from, though, the game falls a little short in that respect. The music is catchy, with plenty of different themes and a tune suited for each situation. For an RPG, though, the music is a bit bland and could've used some more work.

Overall, Earthbound is an excellent game, with just about everything you could ask for in an RPG. After adding everything up, I give the game a 9.3 out of 10. By the way, this took 20 minutes to type, so please consider it!

earthbound a great game filled with funny moments and tragic times(i guess) you start off as ness that finds a strange metor a fly comes out and tells ness of his destiny to fight giygas no this course of the jorney you will find freinds that will help you out on this journey paula jeff and poo you will find wierd and just plain silly enimes over the course of the gameyou will come across your santuary spots that will help you once you got them all ou can go in ness,s mind and defeat the evil inside after that your on your way to giygas and fight your worst enimes you holded for so long pokey that no good jerk that moked youi for the intire game the game was published be sigesato itoi going though sewers,caves,towns,and other places you will find items that will increase your health make you walk faster and increase stats the battle system you can cast psi a power only few have you can use it to help out by healing,increaseing statts for the battle, refelecting attacks ,ect due to copy right the game earthbound was never realeased for the wii in the game you will find a specis called mister saturnthats the games logoin ness,es mind you will find flyingmen these people will help you battle if they die they die they never come back it was rare to find in the usa the game was good and pretty awsome in some cases the music was fun and who could forget the hippie music

so overall il give this game a 20 outta 10 it was awsome (this took awhile to type)

its a vry good game 9.9 id recamend it too people good controls good graphics and pretty fun its a good ovveral game that you can play for along time and good replay value

Ah earthbound i love this game so much
Plot a young kid named ness embarks on a quest to stop guygas he teams up with jeff,paula and poo
Graphics not good not bad nice cartoony
gameplay nothing much to say here just turn based battles
setting 1990's earth which is pretty epic
Pros funny and witty dialog stange enemys(the new age retro hippie)
cons bit to easy little chaecter-to-chaecter dialog
