Spent the past few hours optimizing the site and improving performance. I was able to get the CPU usage of VizzedServer2 to drop by almost 20% so you guys should notice a speed increase on some pages, especially the RGR pages and forum pages. If anyone notices pages that decreased in load speed, please let me know.

Thats a huge drop in CPU Everything seems fine here, since this server is so good its hard to notice whats faster or not.

Is the index suppose to load in 1.125 seconds? Thought it use to load in .5 or so seconds. Maybe it has to do with the custom forums not sure that is only really thing I see that is slower.

I think most people see the chat room button, especially with how much bigger it is. Might be worth putting something else there instead. Just a thought. People load that index page a lot and if it helps with speed it might be worth doing.

I agree with geeogree. There are many reasons though that he did not put down. I agree that it should not be there because it slows down the index, but also because many people say inappropriate things in the lobby. Having all that stuff appear on the index really brings a negative image to the site. I know, personally, that if when I first visited the site and saw the last ten messages in the lobby, I'd most probably have never actually registered, and if I did, I wouldn't be active whatsoever.

Therefore, the index should primarily feature the forums, keeping the huge link to the chatrooms. Having nearly half of the time of the index loading coming from the chat rooms isn't very beneficial to the site seeing as that is the page that most people view, including those with very slow internet.
