I just heard on Mythbusters that Heavy Metal music helps plants grow better than Classical music although they both worked well.Proving once and for all that Metal is better than Classical.

I happen to like metal quite a bit myself, but to say it's better than music that has stood the test of time for over 400 years is pushing things a bit. Metallica ( may they rot...) are in no wise superior to a Brahms or a Handel. Not saying metal is bad (as i said, I have a fair bit my vast collection, and I am a huge Blind Guardian fan), just remember, saying something is "better" tends to be opinion. And classical works have a wee bit more staying power than, say, Cannibal Corpse.

Just my two cents.

Classical is great, don't get me wrong... I'd have to say the reason plants grow faster with Heavy metal is due to its more "vigorous", raw, etc. nature of the music.

Btw, what kind of heavy metal was it? I'm no fan of screamo or deth... but good ol' heavy or thrash metal like Metallica (old skool) Megadeth, etc. is great music all around.

I like both. I listen to metal yet I play classical at school. And not trying to be rude, but its pointless to try to compare two completely different types of music. They are from different time periods. Plus, if there was no classical, there would be no metal.

it may help palnts grow better but when mums start substituting classical music for metal music in the womb after i test i recently conducted it actually helps stiimulate growth of devil children. tbh i think it was coincidence and luck that the plants grew better to rock music i respect mythbusters but even THEY get it wrong sometimes, ill have to watdch the episode
