Woo hoo! Congratulations, you finally found a girl/guy you like. Believe it or not, she/he convinced you to believe in crazy things like love and happiness.

Needless to say you are on cloud (expletive) nine. You are happier than you ever have been...

Until one day on facebook with out letting you know in advance, she/he adds you as her/his child.

This is making me confused as I'm not sure how to take it. Could someone chime in with their own ideas? Just be honest.

Well kid....... My first reaction would be WTF!!? as well, so I understand how you feel.

But if she doesn't quite think of you like that, or she doesn't want you to know that she actually does, then she may just be trying to find little ways to get closer to you, like adding you as a sibling to make you think your closer to her, etc..

It could be a number of reasons, perhaps an error, or some others that I'm not going to explain at the moment. Have you asked her about it?

Um...that's a bit strange. I think you should ask her why she did that and maybe ask her out if you like her that much.

the worst thing you could do is wait and let your mind make up all these strange reasons why she did this.

Best thing to do would be to add her back as your child .... now THAT would be confusing.... and possibly funny to her? I wouldn't take it too seriously personally.

haha it is resolved, but the reason was sorta weird... haha Needless to say I worried over nothing.

Well, I don’t do social networking but I would just ask whomever this interest of yours is what they meant by it. It may be a form of affection of some type but as I said because I am not into social networking and subsequently do not know the ins and outs I can’t really give much insight beyond this.

I do know though what it feels like to be on cloud nine after meeting someone and know what it feels like to have highs and lows in relationships. If you really feel strongly about this person then I think you will be able to handle this. To be at a point in life where you are genuinely happy and, have someone that makes you happy is a precious thing that people sometimes have a hard time obtaining.

If this person makes you feel this way then it should be something that you can talk about but, it may not be that big of a deal unless if someone doing something like that on a social networking website has an underline meaning that I’m not aware of.

Some people do that just to be cute and show their best friends on their profile. Some of my friends have fifty "siblings" and they're fake-married to their best friends. So it's just a way of her having your name on the front page of her Facebook profile.

Annette : I find the same thing too. One of my best friends added me as a 'brother', then one of his friends added him as an 'uncle', making me a 'father' to that person. It goes on and on and on.

On that note, apparently she really does care, and that's enough for me, I won't pressure anything else out of her, but the fact I exist to her in that way is enough for me.

that sounds akward to me i would not want to be in your situation but just ask her about it
