Too many to list... and I don't want to give too much away about these movies, in case anyone decides to watch them. I don't want to spoil anything. All I'll say is that if you like movies with plot twists, watch Se7en, The Prestige, Shutter Island, and Memento. All fantastic movies that keep you on your toes.

If I had to choose one, I would probably say The Prestige. Every time you think you have it figured out... you don't.

well Disney has been pulling 3rd act villain twists out of the butts in recent years the most recent one I saw was in Incredibles 2 (however I knew deep down that one of those siblings would probably be the twist villain)

Earlier this week I went to see Missing and the movie had a few pretty good plot twists. There were at least three that I liked. They were all well made too.

Oh there are several plot twists in movies. There is a lot to list.

One of mine and I forget the the name of the movie. Its an old western movie. The good guys including the town sheriff, Believe they are helping a woman keep bad guys from bothering her. Only to find out that she was the true villain. She had been pulling their strings. It turns out that she was not innocent she turns out to be a criminal.

Another one of mine is Starship troopers- At the first of the movie you start to sympathy with the humans. The Archnids (alien bug race) sends an astroid into main population cities. However about two thirds in the movie. One of the Generals says to the other "Maybe we should not have nuked the Archnids and try to colonize their planets". It really gets you to think okay maybe the humans are not innocent at all. Then it makes you think oh this movie has a anti colonization theme to it. Its a huge plot twist because you do not know at the start of the movie that the humans nuked the alien bugs planet.

One of my favorites of favorites is in John Wayne's the Alamo. Wayne who is playing David Crockett in the film. Heads to Texas with some of his Tennesseans. To try to get his team to fight at the Alamo he writes a fake letter saying it came from Santa Anna. Only for him to admit he wrote the letter to motivate his men. His Tennesseans tell him that even though he wrote that they still want to help Sam Houston.

My last one is I want to think the name of the Movie is Battle of the Bulge. An ally officer seems to help allies in missions. However, he reveals that he is an German spy who has been working undercover. He then opens fire from behind on the allies before running off. Then he shreds his allied uniform. Reveals that he is an actual enemy. He runs off and rejoins the German Unit he was commanding and tells them info he has gathered. Its a good plot twist because he was someone you would not expect to be a bad guy in the film let alone an enemy.

Now, unfortunately, I can't remember what the film is actually called, so maybe y'all can help me with that one.

But, in this movie, a bunch of clones come out from some tunnel dimension and start replacing themselves with the general population. At the end the girl finds this tunnel dimension and it turns out right at the start of her childhood she was swapped with the clone version and this is the original version who masterminded taking her place back in the real world.

Absolutely the best plot twist I have ever seen in film.

There were two movies that I saw recently that I thought had some pretty decent plot twists. One of them was Retribution. The main character has to go around doing things for some evil guy who put a bomb in his car. One of the things is that he has to threaten his best friend and coworker into transferring all his illegally obtained money to an offshore account. The friend does this and the main guy is ordered to shoot the friend. He doesn't want to do this so the bad guy activates the bomb that's in the friends car. Then it's revealed that the bad guy was the friend all along and that he survived the explosion.

It wasn't something that was really predictable because we see his car explode and we also see him talking to the main guy while the bad guy is talking to main guy on phone.

The other plot twist was in A Haunting In Venice, which I liked way more than the other Poirot movies. It was revealed that the mother killed her daughter, which was kind of predictable. But all the other murders and the main events of the movie were accidently set off by a kid.

So, I was just bringing up the Boris and Natasha movie in another thread and I kind of remembered that there was kind of a plot twist involving the Moose and Squirrel (no they're not dead they're in the film just not in the form you'd think...which is kind of unrealistic because they're usually ignorant of B&N's activities)

cafeman55 : There was a plot twist in golden eye?

tgags123 : I second Memento. Overall, one of the most astonishing movies I have seen, and the ending was a masterpiece of storytelling.

Also, Arrival. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. It's overall a great film by Denis Villeneuve, the guy who did the new Dune film, Blade Runner 2049, and Sicario. But Arrival, in my opinion, is his subtle masterpiece.
