Head CoachThe truth is, I'm not much of a football fan. I do like keeping track of scores and stats, but that's about all that I do when it comes to this sport. In my entire life, I probably saw less than 10 regular season games and the Super Bowl just three times. I only went to one game in my life and that was well in the final few months of my teenage years. I have only played two football related video games and this happens to be one of then. I am a huge fan of business and management and similar aspects, so when this game came out, I was really excited about the game because I love games that allow you to take control of a team in this aspect like some other sports games that I play. So I bought the game and I did a test run, I quickly realized that the game was a lot of fun and I played as much as I could of it
I am going to right here give the graphics a 7 out of 10 because there basically are no live graphics, all there is are players, graphs, scoreboards, and menus. The most graphical place would be the hall of fame room because there are all sorts of statues and plaques.
The same goes for the sound because there isn't really much to listen to considering that the majority of the game happens behind the scenes and not in am actual game. There is some pretty good voice acting and my overall grade for sound will also be a 7 out of 10.
The story of the game is where the money is. The game begins with you having an interview and then signing with a team based on how the interview goes. You are now the head coach of that team, a dream come true. You then go and live out the season directing every move and event that takes place within your team as you try to win the Super Bowl and eventually enter the Hall of Fame as a coach. I know that this type of story has been done with other sports games, but I feel that football went out of its way to make sure that their version was much better and I give this section an 8 out of 10 for this reason.
Next we talk about the addictiveness. First off, if you only want to actually play football and you don't care for what goes on behind the scenes, you will not care for this game. If you do like managing and the behind the scenes stuff, you would love to take control of a team and guide them throughout your career. Then, once you are done, you can always start over with a new team. Foe addictiveness, I give this game an 8 out of 10.
There isn't much wiggle room with this game considering there is really one game mode and you do the same thing each year, but the length of your career can be as long as you make it, so that's a plus. My overall grade is an 8 out of 10.
The game is not hard at all, its not an on the field sports game, so as long as you know basic things about the salary, stats, and hiring and firing people, the game will be easy. My grade for difficulty is a 4.
Overall, I really like the game and if you are interested on the managing side of sports, you will like this game as well. My overall grade for this game is 8.5.
