The Legend of Zelda - Omega Review by: darksplif - 10/10
At first glance 'The Legend Of Zelda The Omega' appears to be the same as 'The Legend Of Zelda A Link To The Past'.
Link is awoken from his sleep with a telepathic message from the Princesses Zelda, stating that: 'A great evil is rising, and my control over the guards is diminishing. The guards are no longer loyal to the crown. The King has been executed! Beware of your uncle. He is not who he claims to be. I believe he is actually A !??!!?!? HELP! THE GUARDS HAVE FOUND ME! I am in the dungeon of the castle. Please help me...'
Links uncle tells him to go back to sleep, and something about unfinished business to attend to.
'Try anything and you will feel my wrath!' He leaves the table with sword and shield in hand and walks out of the house.
This is when you get control over Link. At this point it would be a good idea to search your chest and grab the lamp. As you walk out of the house it is still dark outside and it is raining. As you walk Link around, you receive another message from the princesses; 'Quick, come and rescue me. I'm in the dungeon of the castle. There is a secret entrance near the sanctuary. I will explain more when you get here.'
Walk to the northeast and you will find bushes with bricks surrounding it by four sides. Pick up the bush in the middle and find a hole. Drop down to find your uncle who oddly gives you the same sword and shield that he left the house with. He dies. The game so far is following the same story as the original game and does not appear to be a MOD. That all becomes clear when you go to the village in the southwest. You meet up with an old man who ask you to get something for him in the cave to the west of the village. 'The Cave Of The West' as it is called, is full of more monsters than you know what to do with.
Now if you find this difficult, don't fret, because so did I. If you have patience you will make quick work of these monsters. Just look out for the floating skulls, because Link will blackout if they even touch you. They also follow you. It would also be a good idea to find the boomerang, because the walking skeletons jump out of your way if you attempt to swing your sword. The only way to do damage to them is to hit them with the boomerang. Don't forget the bombs! Happy hunting!
