Hi, and thanks for the positive review Mageman80! Since I had an account here, I felt like stepping in and possibly open up the confusion about what's making my hack worth playing. I'm a computer science student in university level, and so, pretty good at programming. I'm also an innovative person and tend to pick up lots of ideas (and only implement the ones worthy of doing). So that's pretty much it. The story of this hack ain't that good, and I actually don't like it myself that much either. If I had started the hack now (unlike I did in 2010), I would have come up with something far better. But apart from that, all the events of this game are built from scratch and a lot of scr Hi, and thanks for the positive review Mageman80! Yet you didn't say much about the hack itself, I'll reply you anyhow. The truth is, I haven't done anything with the coding used for you or enemy being confused during battle. It is always a possibility, one of the hacking tools I've used has caused an effect that alters how confusion is handled in the game, one way or another. But if this had happened though, it'd be way more likely that the game froze when you or the enemy is confused other than creating a completely new effect for it (probability for this is (close to) 0%). No need to be sorry for saying that - now that around 2000 people have played the hack in this board, you may have been the only "lucky" one who has run into this kind of effect, hahha! ![]() No need to be sorry for saying that - now that around 2000 people have played the hack in this board, you may have been the only "lucky" one who has run into this kind of effect, hahha! ![]() |

Good luck!, hahha ![]() You've got it right, it will definitely be worth it at the end. I've got so many good ideas written down, some related to the storyline and others not, that it would be wrong not to let others see what I've planned this to be ![]() ![]() You've got it right, it will definitely be worth it at the end. Ah, I see ![]() For some reason I got the idea that you thought you had finished the beta already (mostly because of this line you wrote actually: "Sadly it ends early since, of course, in beta."). Anyway, it was great to hear both positive and negative feedback about it. The hack is going to get a lot better though (as my skills have improved a lot since I started making that hack) so you can count on more excitement and more epic scenes that you see in the beginning of the hack later on. ![]() For some reason I got the idea that you thought you had finished the beta already (mostly because of this line you wrote actually: "Sadly it ends early since, of course, in beta."). Hey, I just saw your review about my hack! I've been keeping an eye on this site here just to see if others really have something decent to say about it and you obviously had ![]() Let's start off with the difficulty. Yeah, the hack is quite difficult because I've always liked games being challenging yet no way being impossible to beat. Of course, I'm the creator of this hack so I know what to expect in every area but still... I've tested this beta by playing it at 100% speed on my phone (no speeding up, at all) and was able to beat the game, not with ease though. So for now, I've decided to keep the difficulty as it is but it's great to hear actual feedback about it. Unless you're a fan who knows what he/she is doing when encountering any single pokemon in the game, I know this hack can be quite difficult. But there is always an option for speeding up the gameplay a little bit so I don't see that as a problem. What I'm aiming for is to create a hack that is fun and challenging but yet so that no one won't get stuck by being so underleveled (compared to their "skill") that they wouldn't be able to pass a certain point in the game. Next, gender of the main character. I could probably make it possible that you'd be able to start off as a girl hero as well yet I've decided not to. You'll get to a point (in this beta already) where you'll get another main character which is a girl and will be able to control her at some point of the game too. And besides, there might be some "business" between these two later on... Anyway, it's great to her you liked this beta (I get the idea that you actually didn't reach its end though because it's quite long and you don't necessarily have to battle every single gym leader in it either; only Brady, Arnold and Isaac and the other three are optional). The hack is being worked on and if everything goes according to the plan, will be finished in around 2 years or so ![]() ![]() Let's start off with the difficulty. Thanks for disabling the game! But sure, Beta 3.1 could be added to the site now that that release has been taken down (it will take me a long time to get another release up so why not). |

Someone posted (without my permission) a rom hack I've made to this site: https://www.vizzed.com/play/pokemon-dark-future-(beta-3)-gbc-online-game-boy-color-43898-game I wouldn't mind having a hack of mine playable here in vizzed but the thing is that the version here is outdated which IS a bad thing. The current version available is better than that one here in many was, and I'd like to see it removed from the site until I'd finish another release of it (and then someone could actually upload a version of it if (s)he wanted to). Basically, I'd be pleased to see this hack/game removed from the site and if somebody wants to, upload the newest available version of the hack that's currently up. That's all. After pointing this out, I feel I should have tried to contanct a moderator instead but I hadn't really planned what to write in the thread I made before so yeah... I assume there is no way to remove the hack from the site myself (even if I've been stated as the creator of the hack in its "information") ? I could easily input over 20 gym leaders to be faced and having more than 16 was the original plan I had around a year ago but I dropped the idea later on. There will likely be 9-10 gym leaders to face in the final version. That's actually a good thing though as gyms have nothing to do with the storyline itself and are mostly just training areas which always don't even have to be entered. About Pages, I've a feeling you got the one you have from the woman in Milky Village but there are actually 3 more to be found. These three won't be acquired so easily though (expect for one of them which isn't that difficult to find). Obtaining the two remaining Pages requires more exploring than just walking through areas to progress further. And even though Beta 3 definitely ends in Brightbulb City, you can still for example explore the Deep Cavern which couldn't have been done without obtaining HM05 at first. And not to mention battling with Fisherman Dustin (in secret area) and training in Grand Tower.
