A friend is having problems with the SNES Netplay (both Mednafan and MAMEhub) Whenever he joins or makes a Netplay the game audio plays, and the screen is either black, or freezes on the first couple of frames in the game. We tried using different browsers from Firefox to Internet Explorer. We downloaded the Google Chrome Beta plugin, we even downgraded the Plugin, but nothing worked. Is there anything that we can do to get it to work. This problem has been tested on both Donkey Kong Country, and Diddy Kong Quest, and Turtles in Time. Windows 10 x64 Windows 10 x64 |

I didn't report it the first time it happened, but since it's happened to a friend that lives out of state, I figured I should report it. Spyro the Dragon doesn't load correctly. It will dowload the game, but then it will say, Error: Failed to extract game Rom archive file to folder. |

I don't remember the exact date, but it was 1 or 2 months ago. Our first attempt was trying to play the Super Mario 64 Multiplayer hack, and the desync on it was so bad. We later tried Mario Party 3, and it was still really bad. So we just jotted it down as N64 games not working too well for netplay and/or because of the distance between us since we live in different states. so we stuck to Pre N64 games. It might have been because of that I kind of wrote Mednafen off as broken and kept using MAMEhub. |

TheJmsGamer : What are you using to sync the controller up? I've found using MotionInJoy and DS3 causes blue screen often. Try switching to the SCP Driver Package. (just Google that and it'll be the first thing that pops up) You have to uninstall MotionInJoy though. What are you using to sync the controller up? So, I'm not sure if it's just his end, but when I start a netplay room with a friend he can't seem to get the start button to work for him to join. He goes into single player and it works just fine. I haven't been able to test if it's just him or not as I can't join one of his games cause I keep getting disconnected. He's reset the controls multiple times and the only buttons that work are the directional (as far as we know) Edit: Scratch that, apparently it's all games from the specific emulator. The rest of the buttons work we found out, except the start button. So this might need to be moved the appropriate section. Edit 2: So it's only specific versions of the MAMEhub that are causing the problem. On Metal Slug - Super Vehicle-001 everything works fine, but on Zombies Ate my Neighbors and Super Double Dragons it refuses to work the same. I have found a work around for this though. If the person who set up the room (1st player) sets an extra button for the 2nd player start button, then they can push the start button for the 2nd player. I've uploaded an image, but the entirety of the background is nothing but brick. It's not supposed to be like that. It's supposed to have lockers and doors to classrooms and more then just bricks. If you go to where lockers are supposed to be you can still hide in them, and you can still go in the doors, but you have no idea where they are. I don't have a set schedule to stream, but I usually start streaming between 4 Pm EST and 6 Pm EST or later, and I usually don't stop streaming till reeeeaaaaal late. I already have a RGR Panel, and will promote the stream normally, and you are already a Moderator. My stream is twitch.tv/strife98. I won't exclusively stream RGR, but I stream 4 or 5 times a week on average so I will play undoubtedly. By the time I post this I will also have payed the 1000 Viz to be put to the list of streamers. I'm still setting things up to stream it so it won't be streamed immediatly. |

I'm baaaaack :3 Sorry for the lack of uploads. I had gotten a new computer and was playing games that I couldn't play before cause my laptop was a piece of poo. In all honesty I forgot I was uploading these . Also, I had to start over and I didn't want to lol. So finally I got up the want to play again, and I got up to where I stopped and started recording again. So, I'm curious of what other people who have played this remake think about it. Like, what do you like about it? What do you think should be changed? What do you think should be added? Just a bunch of things like that. I know it's not the final version, I'm just curious of what other people think. _________________________________ Starting off I'll say I really enjoy it so far. The change over to NES type has got to have been hard to do, but I think it turned out fantastic. The stages aren't exact replicas, and I think that's a good thing. Certain area's where it's was a short walk in the original have been changed to dungeons. It gives it a real NES Final Fantasy feel to it. I rather enjoy the weapon and magic leveling system. Instead of having to go through the game using the next best weapon stolen or bought at a store, you can level your initial weapon and enjoy running around with that, and instead of equipping a ridiculous amount of materia, it levels and gives you more spells to choose from along with a hit-all version of each one. It was a nice change that I think should be kept. Having said all that, I believe I will now express the main changes that I think should happen: 1. The dungeons are too small. Possibly make them longer? Adding another room, or making them longer and with more dead ends would be nice. An example would be the little dungeon to the first reactor. It had a nice change to it, but I was hoping it would be longer than what it was. 2. Add in some secret passages. On the way to the second reactor, near the healing circle, there is part of the wall that is a different color than the rest. A bit darker if I remember correctly. I was disappointed to find that it was just a different color with nothing special to it. I was hoping it was a secret passage that led to treasure. The NES Final Fantasy's had a plethora of them. Seeing a few more would be just awesome. 3. Weapons and materia level too quickly. I noticed this quickly while playing. While it is nice that the weapons level, if they level too fast then the game gets too easy. When I got to the healing circle in the second reactor, I camped there for a while leveling my materia. In no time at all I had Wind 2, Rock 2, and Bolt 2 along with their hit-all versions. When I got to the Air Buster I destroyed him easily. Having the weapons and materia level slower gives the game more of a challenge, and pushes the player to continue through the story. It's the reason why materia took forever to level in the original, because if they made it level too fast, then it would make the game too easy and remove much of the challenge until late game. Seeing how fast it leveled made me want to exploit that so I could easily brush through the game. 4. I don't like the full heal per level. My reasoning is, that I can be running around using nothing but magic with no repercussion, because most of the time before I get a little less than halfway through my magic, I level and get it all back. I found this out while grinding near the healing circle, realizing more and more that most of the time I didn't even need it. If you are putting healing circles at certain points in dungeons, then don't have the players heal when they level. One before right before a boss is probably the best idea, but then it should have to take something to use it, like money or make it so if you stand on that circle you can use a tent. There needs to be some kind of deterrent to keep players from spamming it. 5. In the church scene when you get Aeris, instead of going to the back to run from Reno and his men, you fight him. Honestly I didn't like this change so much. The back of the church would have been a nice place for a dungeon filled with Shinra Guards, and maybe those dog things that were with them in that scene in the original. I don't know if fighting Reno was a temporary placement until something like that was added in or not, but I thought it was a waste of a good dungeon spot. (Also in the scene with Cloud and Aeris there is a missing conversation between them that suddenly pops up near the end of the missing conversation that would be kind of confusing for someone who hasn't played. I don't remember what part it is, but I have to play through it again anyway so I'll edit this with the missing line later.) There are a few smaller nit picks that I have, but they are small, and will probably be fixed at a later date, and are only due to my detail seeking cause of my FFVIIOCD, but I won't go into them. Final thoughts on this? It is fun! I'm not sure whats up but ever since I reinstalled windows, the page for Final Fantasy 7 Remake 4-25-12 update doesn't fully load. I'm not sure if it's just my end or not cause every other page loads perfectly fine. That screen that is in the picture is the only one that will load. I click videos, screenshots, high scores everything, and I just get that page. I know there are video's there cause I've uploaded them to it. Can anyone help me fix this? Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot. I grew up with these games and would totally buy them if remade. Just remade, nothing changed. I wouldn't mind added stuff, but I would like to keep things like Aku Aku as a piece of board and not an actual mask like it was in later Crash games, and Keep Sparx the Dragonfly silent. |
