I never did, I remember a few kids growing up that did. I always was helping them with their homework.

I remember when people used to tell me that, "you may not feel like you are getting paid, but well educated people will earn more money throughout their life than less educated." At the time I remember not thinking much of it, but it is generally true. So even if you don't get money for good grades now, it may be indirectly influencing the money you earn in the future.

Also, I always got a break on car insurance for good grades, even into college. That was free money to me. If you do good in high school and plan to go to college, scholarships and free rides can net you 10s of thousands of dollars that you would otherwise have to pay to the college.

Some of these ways may not seem like money in your pocket to get the latest game system, but getting a break for earning yourself a great education is like getting rewarded for rewarding yourself. The education is likely more valuable than you think as well.

Nice introduction and welcome to Vizzed. I wasn't a big RPG fan in the beginning either, but I developed a fancy for them.

I assume you have already played some of the Final Fantasy Games (VII in particular) if not definitely need to check them out.

I am just about to reach the 1k mark on CP! It may not seem like much to some, but it is pritty cool for me. Looking forward to the boost in CP and Viz per action.

Last anime I watched was the new Dragonball Z movie "Resurrection of Freeza." It was ok, same style as the older movies. I don't want to spoil it, but there were some new transformations and a battle with all of Freeza's Army. A couple parts stood out as being a bit more comical than I remember, or maybe it is just more mainstream comical than I remember. I haven't seen much of the DBZ movies in a while. I thought overall is was kind of the same, but I also liked it.

I don't know the answer to your question zand, but I have noticed some issues as well. One for instance is in my actions page I have 5.2 CP for today but the only action registering in the list is visiting Vizzed. Some site operations seem to be odd today.

zanderlex : Oh sorry, someone was asking about not getting double Viz from a donation this morning, so I assumed it was always double CP and Viz.

Anyway, I wasn't suggesting double CP and Viz, it can just be double CP. I was just suggesting changing Day 31 on the list in the 1st post of this thread from "None" to "Donation" as another enticing opportunity for people to donate to support the site.

Ferdinand : Awesome, I am simply trying to understand how it all works. Your response opens up more questions though since the link provided just sends me to a blank PM to the RGR staff, there are no fields to fill out. I assume non-staff does not have the ability to add franchises but it seems to apply to non-staff per the actions list. Either way, not a big deal, again just trying to make sense of it all.

Maybe I can make a separate thread as a suggestion, but it may make the staff's lives easier if someone put together a little how to. Zlinqx said there is a thread in the staff area about character adding, but if there is no information for the newer non-staff that don't know how things work the staff will likely have a lot more non-participation or incorrect use of the system by naive users.

Same goes for some of the other actions as well, like what constitutes a Loose vs Complete vs New rating on the EBay listings since there are some gray areas.

Maybe a YouTube video or something to explain all the actions to the newbies so that they are less likely to be used incorrectly or abused. Just some food for thought.

Davideo7 : If donations are going well today and the site could use the extra monetary support come the end of the month, you may consider changing Day 31 double CP/Viz to Donation instead of None. I know it is already in there twice, but if you think it may help to bring in more support it may be a good day for it.

Just a suggestion. I wasn't sure if you left it none for traditional reasons or it just came out that way or what.

Yea sometimes I talk to myself. When I am at work and don't want to distract others it may be just a bit of mumbling, but it sometimes helps to remind me what I need to get done or hearing myself say it makes me think of it differently.

Plus there are times when I am so drowned in visual input for long periods of time auditory seems to mix things up a little if I am on my own. A lot of times that is why people working at a computer all day listen to music.

I hear that talking to yourself is a sign of high intelligence, but in my case I think it is just a little bit of crazy, or cray cray as it is sometimes put nowadays.

Well I guess that answers my questions:

1. I think I understand that, but I am not sure that all characters are set up that way.

2. Yeah, both the franchise and character list seems fairly extensive the way you describe it to be. Although I have requested a franchise and it was added, but I have never received CP or Viz for Franchise Adding which is part of why I was confused.

3. I understand. When I see the wrong game while searching through the price guides I report them. The whole idea behind completing all these actions at least for me is to help the site and make a better experience and knowledge base for other gamers (The CP and Viz are nice extras), so I have no issues helping out, it just seemed like they were all similar actions yet the report link worked differently than I imagined.

I have a few questions about Game Character adding and Franchise adding. I am sure everyone has a slightly different view of how the Game Characters should be organized and filled out, but…..

1.    Is there a thread or a guide somewhere on how we should be filling out added characters or what constitutes a franchise?
Some of it seems all over the place and there are multiples of characters that I am not sure how it should be. For example, there might be a single character such as Mario, but he is used across countless number of games. Should there be 1 character named Mario with multiple games in the square brackets or should there be several instances of Mario each with 1 unique game that he occurs in. It is confusing because there are lots of empty franchises but sometimes the characters are already added in the no franchise section.

2.    Also, are Trusted+ members only allowed to add franchises?
The only way I can see to add a franchise is to click the link in the Game Characters section which private messages the staff. That is fine since I don’t really care how the franchises get there, but just from the perspective of the Tdv it would almost be as if the non-staff members are helping the Staff members. It is not a big deal to me, but I figured I might note it.

3.    The same goes for reporting a game that doesn't belong in the Ebay listings. Is the only way to report a listing to click the "Report link" to PM a staff member?
This is similar to adding franchises.


I don’t really mind that some of these things are this way, I just found it out of place when I noticed it. (Damn OCD) I wouldn’t be surprised if they are there for important reasons like someone made a new account and deleted all the EBay listing for a game or added a bunch of inappropriate franchises. I am simply looking for input on the matter.
