Honestly, there are quite a few things that I have cried over but some of them are more memorable than others.

1) Please Save My Earth (manga) - This one...just got to me. On so many levels. I admit, reincarnation stories just get me for some reason and that pretty much sums it up. I just felt Shion's feelings and it hurt. I actually cried for almost a week after finishing it just from thinking about it. And the moon kinds still makes me sad just from leftover feelings from reading it. It's that good.

2) Fullmetal Alchemist/Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (anime) - Okay so a lot of people have probably cried over these but honestly if you didn't cry over
Spoiler:
Hughes
then you are pretty much heartless. I also cried for
Spoiler:
Greed
. I mean, come on. That was just....depressing.

3) Gurren Lagann (anime) - I know this one has already been mentioned a couple of times, but yeah, I cried too.

4) Wolf's Rain (anime) - Everything. I cried about everything.

5) Angel Beats (anime) - The ending. Oh my god, the ending. It was a good one, but still just so bad.

6) Clannad ~After Story~ (anime) - I cried so freakin' much.
Spoiler:
Ushio!

7) Naruto (anime) - Yes, I cried over Naruto. I cried over so much in Naruto there is no point in listing it. Especially, the Shinobi war episodes.

8) Air  (anime) - Admittedly, I didn't think it was that sad at first, but after thinking about it, I cried my eyes out.

I am gonna stop there because I am just gonna keep going if I don't limit myself. I used to not cry over anything, but I guess anime just opened me up emotionally.

I heavily prefer subs. This may be because I can speak Japanese (or at least enough to get by) but I am also a fast reader if I do end up watching an episode with subs. When I first started watching anime, I was exposed to dubs and that was what I watched. That being said, I agree there are good dubs out there, the main ones for me being Wolf's Rain, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Code Geass but then there are shows that are cringe-worthy. It's not to say the actors did bad, although in some cases that may be true, it's just some of the voices don't feel right or some of the phrases/jokes fall flat.

Secondly, many times anime companies change around certain things or censor them. This takes away from the original way the show was supposed to be viewed and just seems like a waste after all that effort was put in to make the show a certain way.

Finally, I just prefer it in Japanese. It's the original way it was meant to be seen after all. Sure, putting it in other languages makes it more widely available to a varied audience, but in the end, it's not the same as it was. To me, original is best. I respect others opinions and in no way think that people who watch dubs aren't "true anime fans". It's just how I see things.

I honestly had to really think about this one. I tend to like things once I give them a chance but there is one anime that I can think of that I would never recommend to anyone and couldn't even sit through the first episode of and that, my friends is a little something called B Gata H Kei.

I was looking for something to watch one night and remembered my friend telling me about it. She swore it had an interesting plot and was hilarious. Let me note here: she has a completely different sense of humor than me. That alone should have been enough to forewarn me that this was a mistake but I was naive. I hopped on Netflix, pulled it up and read the synopsis. At this point, I should have shut down my PS3 and found a book to read, but no, I continued. It sounded.....odd, but I figured it would be fine. Perhaps it was a hidden gem? Who knows. I tend not to judge before I watch, no matter the opinions on the internet.

Long story, short, the plot is horrible. The characters, lame. The overall quality of the show, horrible. Never again.

I haven't seen any post about Homestuck so I was gonna go ahead and throw this out there and see if anyone took the bait. Basically, I wanted to see if this fandom existed on here. So is there anyone out there reading this who is a Homestuck? or in more famous words, "Do you wanna talk about Homestuck?"

Let's talk about favorite characters, plot, anything, but please, no spoilers. Some people may not be as far in the comic as others.

I enjoyed both of the adaptations but, like many people here, I enjoyed Brotherhood a lot more than I did the original. I am not saying the original is not as good, it was a good adaptation in it's own right, but the storyline and plot development of Brotherhood seemed more evenly paced and  the characters it introduced, like Ling and May and Lan Fan and Major General Olivier Armstrong, seemed to develop the story so much more. Also, as a Greed fangirl, I was overall very happy with the amount of screen time and character development he got. We really got to see his character change throughout the series. He kind of became a hero in his own way, and I was pleased with that.

Well, those are just my opinions but in closing, I feel Brotherhood was definitely my favorite of the two.

I know it's an odd one, and honestly probably not the first I watched, but the earliest anime I can remember watching is Escaflowne. It came on one of the channels that I used to watch my Saturday morning cartoons on and I was hooked. I was pretty young then and probably didn't understand much of it, but I loved it. After that, I started looking for other similar shows and eventually found my way into the anime fandom, where I have remained.
