Currently I've been working a lot at my job with a kid on my way but I've been spending a lot of my free time with fallout 4 recently (been doing a little bit of the story but also doing a lot of side missions). Other than that  a few weeks ago I took a break from fallout 4 and beat  quantum break which was a pretty short game but I liked it for the most part. Next game I will probably beat is the one I just picked up today Mario and Luigi paper jam.

Out of the more recent sonic games I'd say sonic lost world (3ds version)  of all time though it would have to be a tie between sonic 3 and knuckles and Sonic 2.   Besides  those games however I would also recommend the original sonic, spinball (not the best game but a good change of pace from the other sonic games), adventure  1-2, Heroes, and generations.

Blood bowl 2 is a intresting game. It may on the surface look like medieval football but it is far different then that. This and the original is based on a board game from the 80s that had a small cult following. The game plays more like a turn based strategy game where instead of building army's you manage a football team but the focus is more on taking out the other teams players. Instead of quarters you take turns moving players around the field and rolling dice to attack the other team. Also the game takes place in the warhammer universe so expect many races of humans orcs, etc. If I had to compare this game to anything I would call this game fire emblem warhammer mutant leauge head coach football, along with a little Mario Party style randomness sprinkled in to it. Other wise the game is pretty fun as long as your not expecting a fast pased game.

Graphics 7/10- not the prettiest current gen game out there but there's nothing wrong here with the graphics either everything for me ran smooth and the tackle/ko animation s are pretty cool as well

Sound 7/10- again the sound is ok at best the announcers have a lot to say but you will be hearing them repeat themselves a lot during matches. The rest of it consists of fans in stadiums and grunts and groans

Addictiveness 9/10- Agian if you want a game that makes you use your noggin and use strategy to get a touchdown which is very hard to do but very reliving then you will have a hard time putting the controller down I just recently got a ps4 and have been stuck at work most of the time but this is my most played game so far

Story 7/10- I haven't really touched to Mich of story mode it's very rare for a football game to have on but it serves more of a tutorial for new players

Depth 10/10- There's a lot of Depth to this game you have to level up your team unless your in friendly match mode and every move you do could be costly if you spend a lot of time leveling up a star player they can be permanently killed off then you can never get them back makes multiplayer very intense

Difficulty- This game is easy to learn but hard to master I'm still working on good formations and if it wasn't for the randomness of dice rolling I would say the difficulty would be fair. Also the AI is very difficult even on easy mode

Overall 8/10- Overall this game is very good more so if your a real time strategy person but if you don't like slower paced games I wouldn't recommend it if you want something different and unique (except for the original) then I would pick this up. Also note I think the game already has lots of dlc planes for it love it or hate it with that in mind I think fans of the board game blood bowl, turn based strategy games, and some football fans who want a unrealistic football game should enjoy this

Metal gear legacy collection is a great way for new comers of the series to start off. My only gripe about this package is the way it's set up. The game comes with 2 discs the first disc is basically the same as the he collection and includes metal gear solid 2, 3, and peace walker along with metal gear 1 and 2 (msx version) but you have to go inside metal gear solid 3s menu to access those games. They 2nd disc is only Metal gear solid 4 I believe it's exactly the same as the original ps3 release. My biggest problem with this set up is that Metal Gear solid 1 and VR missions are codes set up threw the psn network for you to download in the psx classics section on the psn so there not even on the disc but there still playable so as long as you don't mind the set being a little disorganized it's not a bad deal. Also this is understandable but most of the spinoff metal gear games are missing to like ghost babel and portable ops so if you were expecting those you might have to wait tell a very unlikely volume 2 to come out. Also in the collection you get 2 graphic digital novels but I have yet to try them out

If you haven't played any or don't know about this series the metal gear games has you sneaking around enemy's instead of being a super soldier killing everything and the story's useually pretty good featuring cold war conspiracy's and nuclear warfare. If you're not much with story based games you may not get the most out of the series

Metal gear- A little but hard to set down and play this one as its an 1980s game that didn't age well still good that it's on here though has lots of elements that made the future games great and this is still a great game. Just don't expect as much story as it's sequels   7.5/10

Metal Gear 2:solid snake- Truely a masterpiece considering its age again a 1980s game but with the exception of the graphics it feels just as good as the newer ones 8/10

Metal gear Solid- one of my all time favourite games probably my faviorite of the series 10/10

Metal gear solid: VR missions- basically an expansion of the original game this has no story whatsoever but replaces that with fun puzzles will keep the hardcore metal gear fan busy 7.9/10

Metal Gear Solid 2- The black sheep of the series while not as amazing as some is still great dispute the change in lead character's 8/10

Metal Gear Solid 3- my second faviorite in the series this one focus's not only on stealth but survival as well 10/10

Metal gear solid: peace walker- never got around to it yet so I won't score this one

Metal gear solid 4- Originally planned to end the series the game has cutscenes lasting over and hour but does a good job concluding solid snakes story 9.5/10

Just about all the mega man games have been amazing well the ones I've played anyway heres my top 10

10. Mega man 8- the first game I played while not the best is still fun in a cheesey kind of way plus the cutscenes are a good laugh

9. Mega man 1- while not as polished as the later games this game obviously started the series and was a good challenge fans of the series need to pick this game up

8. Mega man X street fighter- this game plays and looks a lot like 3-6 with street fighter characters replacing the robot masters with street fighter inspired power ups lead to a epic game

7. Mega man Zero- The character Zero had spin-off written all over him when first introduced in X and after many years of waiting the game finally came in on of the harder games of the franchise but it is a good if not a bit cheap challenge. Also I've never played zero 2-4 enough to put them on the list because I never beat this on

6. Mega man Battle network- a intresing spin-off that's either a prequel or a alternate timeline to the original series this game has no platforming what so ever but instead is a action jrpg with a very fun combat system every game in this series is great but very similar so I have to give this spot to the original

5. Mega man 3- a great sequel to the 2nd game this one adds the powerslides and has some of the best robot masters for the most Part

4. Mega man 2- On of the more rememberable games in the series and for good reason this improved upon the original in almost every way and did everything a sequel to a video game should it stays true to the original game but adds more stuff and makes it more fun plus you can't forgot Dr. Wily's castle music

3. Mega man X-3- First time Zero was playable (sorta) and had some excellent level design special shout out to the psx version with the anime cutscenes (that would improve with x4) and the soundtrack

2. Mega man X-4- this game is really epic it has zero fully playable this go around along with 2 seperate story's with both zero and megaman the stages and music were improved along with some of the best 2d art mega man gamesever got

1. Mega man Legends- Mega man in 3d but it's much more than that this also adds light rpg elements and a open world to explore

Honerable mentions: Mega man X, ZX Advent, MEGA MAN X Command mission, Mega man Legends 2, misadventures of tron bonne, power fighters 2, Mega man 4-6, X-2

Dishonerable mentions: Mega man X7, Battle chip challenge, Mega man 7

Street Fighter 2 was the first fighting game I've ever played if not the first game I ever played so I have lots of memory's playing that one  I also remember being shocked when x-men vs street  fighter came out. In the 90's the x-men and street fighter was my favorite franchise's out there so  seeing them fight was very unbelievable at the time.

Since Back to the future came out we  made a lot of technological advances I think there prediction of the future is kind of accurate in some small ways I just think its off by a few years the world may look more and more like that movie in the next 20 years from now minus the flying cars I think its gonna be a long time before we get that although I have heard something about somebody building a prototype (kind of like a airplane) but I can't see the mass public being able to handle it as I can imagine crazy/drunk people not flying them responsibly even worse then what driving is now

my top 5

5. Fire Emblem: Awakening- really great, on of the best strategy rpgs out there also I love the cut scenes in this game really easy on the eyes even in 3d mode

4. Pokémon X/Y- Spent many hours on this wonderful game it brought Pokémon into a 3d world very beautifully and the results were great

3. Legend of Zelda oot 3d- A remake but its on of the best games of all time made even better this is the definitive version of ocarina of time if you have somehow never played it on the original console (like I  did)

2. Super Smash Bros 3ds- The best game to play as long as theirs a wifi connection although I have yet to play the wii u version this is the best smash bros yet (plus the pac-man stage is very addicting itself)

1.  Luigi's Mansionark Moon- I just found this game so different then any other game out there (except the original one)  and it improves upon the original Luigi's Mansion so much as long as you like a more slower paced game you need to own it

theirs my top 5 but narrowing the 3ds's great game library down to 5 is really hard so heres some other great games I enjoy and play a lot: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Super Mario 3d Land, Mario Kart 7, Mario Golf (very relaxing yet  competitive), Mario Tennis open, Sonic Lost World, Resident Evil:Revelations, Tomodachi Life (my fiance plays this on religiously), Code of Princess, Legend of Zelda: Link Between 2 worlds, Super Street Fighter 4: 3d edition, Donkey Kong Country returns 3d, Yoshi's new island

I don't think the sonic games are dead or dieing *if* Sega fails it will only be a matter of time before someone picks up the franchise (Nintendo  perhaps) which they have started to  downsize which is not a good sign.  Not only that but really the only bad sonic game from what I can tell from watching gameplay video's is Sonic Boom but I haven't played it so I won't judge it along with the black knight. They other games while may not be as amazing  as Sonic 1-3 or adventure 1 and 2 are still quite enjoyable except with an occasional glitch here and there  (which just about every modern game does sometimes a lot worse than sonic) plus Generations, colors and Lost World (underrated sonic game) are just as good as the original games. They only thing wrong with the franchise is that like what other people have said theirs to many different types  of sonic games out there when in reality most people just want a plain simple platformer that runs really fast with great levels.
I thought sonic 06 was ok I mean its not the greatest game ever nor the greatest sonic game but it sure wasn't the worst sonic game out there either even at the time of this games release. Also If it didn't have as many glitches I would probably say the game would be great

Mass effect is in my opinion on of  the best video  game  trilogy's out there. On the ps3 version unless  you buy  it digitally this is they only way to play the original game in  the series on the system so if you only have a ps3 this is the version you need to get. There  is so much to be said  about these games but the universe that this game creates will suck you right in like  a good sci fi story should and enough action in  it to keep it fairly balanced while making great use and improving upon the bioware choice system seen in its older games most  comparable to star wars: kotor. Although I  wouldn't normally compare a video game to a tv series/movie but this game  needs  an exception I would  say this is a lot better than most sci-fi movies and should be right up there with star trek and  star wars, but why would I say this? And which game in the series is the best?

Graphics 10/10
The graphics in these games  are absolutely stunning. Even though the first game may look a little dated its still a lot better than a lot more recent games. Mass Effect 2 improves the graphics by a lot and  theirs a huge difference graphically. It's easy to tell characters apart  and there animations are very impressive. Mass Effect 3 while maybe not quite a leap from me1 to me2 is still improved  upon some and like  the other 2 games  is on of the better looking games out there. I do have one problem though on ME1 it seems to glitch occasionally not enough to effect gameplay though but it may be a ps3 conversion problem

Sound 9/10
Again the sound is amazing like the rest  of  the game, the techno background music may be an  inquired taste that I'm  not really a huge fan of but in this case it actually fits really well with these  games so I liked it. Not to mention the techno music is actually very atmospheric with the game and I probably couldn't think of a  better fit for music for the franchise plus the other soundtracks are very engaging especially in the 3rd game which makes the game feel more epic. Other  sounds in the game are also atmospheric and again help you get sucked into the game, gun fire (phaserish) sounds  just like they should and so does everything else in the game. Not to mention the voice acting, which in my opinion is  some of the best voice acting we will ever see in a video game. I'm not sure who the voice  actors are off  hand other  than  Seth Green as  joker and  the guy from kotor that played Carth but  I have  to give them credit for being in the game and you can just tell everyone gave it there all.

Addictiveness 10/10

Most 3rd person shooters or RPGS tend to get pretty boring and repetitive  for a while especially after you  beat the main story/quest the side quests can be usually kill  a certain things  or finding stuff but Mass Effect while the main quest is obviously the most fun you can have most of the side quests in all 3 games are really fun with the exception of planet scanning in the 2nd on is a little to overwhelming but in all  3  games the scanning does  give you  a reason to  explore the galaxy star trek style. Not only do you have  a lot of planet scanning but  you also have lots of side quests that you can find around that will double your play time, and if that's not enough the main quest is pretty much up to your choices so in typical bioware fashion it encourages you to play threw  it millions of times  over  to see different outcomes good endings or bad endings and so forth.

Gameplay 9/10

Here's where things get interesting. The first Mass Effect plays a lot like a typical Bioware RPG game with shooter elements. The 2nd and  3rd game pretty much reverses this  and instead turns into a 3rd person shooter with Bioware  RPG elements. The first  game has  a kinda complex (not to brain shattering) weapon  and armor customization that can later on make the game a lot easier near the end such as  poison bullets and  typical rpg armor upgrade crafting. The 2nd on completely does away with weapon  and armor customization while the 3rd on brings it back in a much more simpler and more balanced way. Now I will say this even with the customization with the first game its  still no cake walk as it can be challenging at times. ME2 is probably the easiest of the series to complete but its  still quite challenging on harder difficulty's. ME3 in a lot of ways is the more challenging game in the series as it was supposed to be since its the finale of Shepard's story but I still  had  no problems beating it on normal (plan on playing threw all 3 on  harder difficulty at a different time). What I have played from the harder difficulties though I found it to be very hard. Anyway  whichever play style you  prefer all 3 games  are really fun  to play threw whatever  your a hardcore RPG fanatic, bioware fan, or 3rd person shooters.

Story 10/10

Without giving any spoilers I would have to  say this has on of the best if  not the best storyline in a video game ever made and rivals most better sci-fi movies to date. It kinda has a  star trekish feel to it with a little battlestar galactica in it while still being original. Either way what happens in the story and who lives and who dies is completely up to the player. You create your character in the first game and take him  threw all 3 games (import save files) so just about everyone's story will play out slightly different then another player. So  this is definitely a bioware game  if your  looking for a cheesy mindless game with more focus on shooting then story then you may not care a whole lot for it but its still amazing. The  ending in the 3rd game to this day is very controversial along the nerd community. Personally I liked it as long as you download the extended cut dlc (don't worry  its free) as it  makes you think, but I can see where people would not like it as its very different  then  what I expected. (again  theirs different choices that affect outcomes)

Overall 10/10
All 3 games are very amazing I think in 20 years when people look back to the Xbox 360 and PS3 era of games  this will  probably become a classic and probably even the most  talked  about game from that era. Although all 3 Mass Effects are amazing I  would have to go with the original as my personal  favorite, but that may be different with you as I can see why any other game in the series could be your most or least favorite.

*taken from my amazon.com review of Deadpool

If you go into Deadpool expecting this to be the god of war killer or the next arkham city you may be disappointed but if your looking for a silly game that pretty much parody's those I mentioned and a few others then this is the game for you. This is probably the most hilarious (and one of the few funny games) ever since Earthworm Jim on the snes. Unlike that game though I would recommend not playing this in front of your kids if you have them. The game while funny is very crude, violent, and there are sexual jokes but that's just how Deadpool is though as a character. The Voice acting in the game is amazing its probably the closet your gonna get to the real deadpool movie (Bryan Reynolds is not the real deadpool more of a normal character). If you have played Uncharted the voice of Deadpool may sound familiar as hes played by the same guy who voiced Nathan Drake from that game.

As for the gameplay like I said before this isn't the god of war or arkham city killer. It kinda plays like a dumbed down version of god of war with arkham style combos, however with it being dumbed down it kinda feels more like a old school beat em up (double dragon, streets of rage) with the batman dodge mechanic then anything. There are also gun fights in the game as well which feel like a typical 3rd person shooter nothing special other than the crazy one liners but it does its job. As for the length of the game it really depends on what you start on if you start on easy you will probably have the game beat in about 3-5 hours but if you play on the hardest difficulty it will probably double the length. Which I would recommend playing threw the hardest mode first unless you don't play games much as its much more fun and challenging.

Anyway this is a good game that deadpool and new deadpool fans will enjoy as long as your not expecting the Ryan Reynolds barakapool if your hard on cash or if your not sure if you want it wait tell the price comes down otherwise get the game.

pros
+very fun budget game as long as your not expecting anything revolutionary
+cheesy
+on of the easier games  to get a platinum trophy

cons
-
pretty short campaign
-gets boring after getting the platinum trophy

Sonic's ultimate genesis collection is a collection of 40 genesis games and 9 other unlock-able classic Sega games. All the games have been remastered to 720p so its a must have for Sega nuts who want to play these on the newer tv screens. My only problem with it is sometimes mostly on sonic 3 the sound may crackle a little bit and theirs no lock on for sonic 3/knuckles, but other than that its the best classic games compilation to ever be released. Sega has also re released many other games that were on the disc separate on the psn/live arcade but if you buy them separate it will cost more but the trophies are different for achievement hunters I think but I would still recommend this over the psn releases. but anyway I'll give a short review for the games
:
Alex Kidd- I never was a big Alex Kidd fan its good its on here for the hardcore Sega fan but theres better games 2.9/5
Alien Storm- Good Game 4/5
Altered Beast- Really Hard game fun if you can manage to master it 3.9/5
Beyond Oasis- never played it enough to judge it
Bonanza Bros- Very odd game 3.5/5
Columns- Pretty much a tetris knockoff but I still like it 4/5
Comix Zone- despite the difficulty I used to love this game back in the day 5/5
Decap Attack- odd but good 4/5
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine- More forgiving version of Columns and I like this one more 4.9/5
Dynamite Headdy- Never played it enough to judge it
Ecco The Dolphin-not a fan of these games 1/5
Ecco: The tides of Time- same 1/5
E-SWAT-Pretty good game 4/5
Fatal Labyrinth-Pretty confusing game but fun if you can manage it 3.5/5
Flicky- A very fun and challenging little game 4/5
Gain Ground- Fun 3/5
Golden Axe- Streets of rage but more medieval 5/5
Golden Axe 2- Same 5/5
Golden Axe 3- Weakest link of the 3 but still good 4.5/5
Kid Chameleon- Underrated Sega game this one needs a sequel on psn 5/5
Phantasy Star II-IV: Good RPGs I can't say the aged well but still fun 5/5
Ristar- This game is surprisingly pretty good needs a sequel 4/5
Shining Force-in the darkness: good rpgs like Phantasy star the haven't aged well if you weren't born in the early 90's 5/5

11. Metriod- Basically the first non linear platformer games I played it actually makes you feel like your person is trapped on a alien world although I defintly wouldn't classify these games as horror it does give out a very creepy vibe similar to the alien movies. Not to mention the prime games are probably one  of the best first person games out there if not the best

10. Street Fighter- sf2 was the first game I remember playing and although I have grown a little tired of the series recently it will always be on of my favorite video game series out there

9. Star Wars Video games- Although a lot of these are either really awesome or really bad the ones that are good are some of the best video games ever made and growing up it was really fun to play these games especially kotor and battlefront 2

8.MegaMan- Classic platformers I didn't get  into these games tell a few years ago but the are really challenging and the platforming is really great

7. Crash Bandicoot- Would have been higher on the list but the more recent games have gone down in quality but the original ones by Naughty dog and twinsanity are the most fun platformers out there not to mention crash team racing which gave a certain plumber a run for his money

6. Pokemon-  Theirs nothing more rewarding than collecting pokemon not only do you have a good single player rpg but battling your friends with your pokemon is even greater

5. Sonic- Always usually my go to game when I'm bored and I don't feel like playing anything else the sonic games (even the worst in the series is really fun) are always a good way to  escape boredom really fun  to play for anyone  new or gaming veterans.

4. Zelda- Fun Challenging adventure games some of  the best gaming to be had hear my personal faviorite is ocarina of time but almost all  the games in this series are really great

3. Elder Scrolls-Although I have not played the first 2 games in this series Morrowind threw Skyrim is some of the best gaming to be had (Elder scrolls online is great to). Theirs so much to do in this series and it keeps you busy I don't  really have much more to say

2. Final Fantasy- Ahhhh this is another series I didn't  get into tell I was older but when I did I really enjoyed it. The gameplay in most games in this series is challenging but once you figure it out its really rewarding and has some of the best stories that would rival most fantasy books out there especially in FFX.

1. Mario- Without a doubt the best  game series out there this is the one game series I'm obsessed with and almost every game in the series  is top contender for my all time favorite game. These games were pretty much my childhood and there's nothing better and more relaxing and fun then playing threw mario which is what a game should be.

notable mentions: Gran Theft Auto, Halo, Persona, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong Country, Mass Effect, Jak and daxter, king of fighters, devil may cry, resident evil, Kingdom Hearts, Castlevania, Streets of rage

For me I'd say the best game of the year so far would be Super Smash Bros 3ds (don't own the wii u version yet)  runner up being Mario Kart 8 and although I've only seen a little gameplay I'd give an honorable mention to dragon age:  inquestion unfortunately haven't had much money for games this year since I just moved out on my own with my fiance

It would be impossible for me to just to pick one Mario game to be my favorite so I'll do a top 10 (Mario is one of few franchises where even narrowing it down to 10 is hard)

10.   Super Paper Mario- Although this game is flawed I had a lot of fun with it. Its basically a 2d Mario game with paper Mario/rpg elements. It's a great game as long as you see it as a spinoff to the paper Mario series. Only problem with this game is world 2-2 which is probably on of the worst levels in a video game

9. Super Mario Bros- The game that started it all  this one is showing its age but its still just amazing and fun now as it was in the 1980's

8.Super Mario Sunshine- This  Mario game feels different then any other Mario out there. This game is the only 3d Mario game I have not beaten its very challenging but its very fun and a worthy successor to Mario 64

7. Super Mario 64- The First 3d Mario game like the original game this one is showing its age but its still amazing to this very day

6. Super Mario World- On of the biggest games at the time this game was a very good step up from the NES classics nothing more needs to be said about this awesome game

5. Paper Mario: The thousand year door- A fun RPG Mario with a surprisingly good story (compared to other Mario games) and good humor in it as well that makes good use of the franchise

4. Mario Kart 8-  Any game in the kart series would fit this spot however I prefer the newer on as its in some ways outshines its earlier installments (except for the battle mode) plus decently priced dlc is coming that adds link and doubles the amount of tracks in the game making it the biggest Mario Kart game to date

3.Super Mario Bros 3- Defiantly the best 2d Mario game ever

2.Super Mario 3d World- like 3d land this on mixes old school Mario with the newer 3d games and blends it together to make a great game

1. Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2- I will end this list with a tie these games are defiantly the greatest Mario has had to offer and no matter who you are you need to play this game. In my opinion not only the greatest Mario Games ever but the greatest games of all time

other notable games in the series: Mario Party, Mario and Luigi SuperStar Saga, 3d Land, Super Mario Land 2, Mario and Luigi Bowsers inside story, Mario Power Tennis, Mario RPG:Legend of the seven stars, Mario world 2: Yoshis Island, Super Mario Allstars, Mario and Luigi: Dream team,
