I've been browsing some hacks around the sight and finally decided to try my hand out with one. I have programmed a few small games for my own personal amusement , but never hacked a pre-existing one. Before I started though, I wanted to see if this idea would be something people would be interested in. As the title suggests I would like to make a game based off of the Songs of Fire and Ice (Game of Thrones) books. I'm thinking it would best be done using either one of the Fire Emblem or Tactic Ogre games. I would try to make it as close to the story line as possible with-in reason and limits afforded to me. Some liberties would have to be taken of course with most battles, however as of now I intend to use only those which are mentioned in the books, filling in the details of actual fights as needed. Any feedback to how this would be received or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This is kinda hard for me but I gotta go with the Stall brothers. Two of them were at one point on my favorite team the Rangers, and the one still there, Marc, is a staple of the team. The Manning bothers are a close second.

BTW: You should consider including the Hossa brothers, Marian and Marcel, as well as the , practically whole, Sutter family, Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich and Ron, plus Brandon(Pittsburgh currently) and Brett(AHL), which is the largest family to play. (with two more drafted in 2011 and 2012)

Blueshirts all the way (NY Rangers). Only thing I don't like about the team is that Sather is still the G.M. LGR

Yes, hockey is severally under-rated, especially here in the Southern U.S. Certain parts it actually is picking up (like here in Florida, the Lightning are becoming quite popular). If you look at the major sports networks like ESPN virtually no coverage. Take the Top Ten plays they run daily, I will see the same dunk performed on a daily basis by various players make their list, and usually at a top spot, while a hockey play that goes coast-to-coast, shrugging two to three players off while maintaining control of the puck and then beating the goaltender WHILE being taken off their skates virtually gets unnoticed. Always physical, and more often than not you have non-stop action. As for the equipment issue, please, when I was younger all we had were sticks and a ball. You want knee pads? Grab some egg-cartons. Goaltender? Sofa cushions for your legs and some pillows for body protection. If you can play tackle football without equipment, you can play hockey on the street provided you have a ball and some sticks, which can be found cheaply.

Oh and for a net a simple trash can could be used (I wouldn't use a goalie in this case).

Thank you tornadocam and ghostfishy, my restaurant is called Anna's Restaurant which I purchased off the previous owners with a stipulation to keep the original name. Basically it's your typical greasy dinner. And thank you for the recommendations ghost (hope you don't mind me shorting your name, most people usually just call me jos), Fire Emblem is actually the main reason I'm here. The English translated versions are great to be able to play for any fan of the series based in the U.S. Along with Ogre Tactics(Tactic Ogre) my downtime will be vastly improved. As for Advanced War I've never really given the series a chance, but now would be as good a time as any I reckon. Any tips or hints as far as the site goes for a newbie like me to increase my enjoyment? Once again thank you both for the welcoming.

Hello everyone, new to the site and hoping to have some fun with it. Tactic/Strategy and RPG games are most likely going to be my mainstay here but I will probably branch out every now and then. I'm 27 years old, worked in the food industry for 12 years and was fortunate enough to open my own restaurant a year and a half ago. I will be spending my free time between here and another gaming site (don't know if posting the name violates any rules so I wont). So once again hello, and I  hope to get to know some you as time goes on.
