EX Palen : That's awesome! But it's so sad about Master Roshi, though. I wouldn't mind meeting the DBZ voice actors myself, for any language at that. That anime is my childhood. I wouldn't mind meeting the DBZ voice actors myself, for any language at that. That anime is my childhood. |

I've been looking into voice acting a lot lately simply because of some really awesome VAs I love. I haven't met any of them, sadly, but I'd love to meet Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Vic Mignogna, Roger Craig Smith, Troy Baker, Rob Paulsen...the list continues on. Have you met your favorite voice actors/actresses? I'd love to hear your stories! Have you met your favorite voice actors/actresses? I'd love to hear your stories! |

I'll admit, EXE. creeped me out a tad the first time I listened to a reading of it...but that wore off in no time. I don't hate the story, I just think it's poorly developed.
I think a story is developed well when I can actually feel the fear, and it keeps me wondering what'll happen next. The entire story was a giant foreshadowing. It was obvious that EVERYONE was going to get killed. I don't know, I guess I missed the point of a creepypasta. And secondly, I honestly didn't care for any of the characters; and I know this will probably sound cold, but I didn't even really care for Tails, Knuckles, or Eggman. Don't get me wrong - I love the characters to death, but they were...kind of written dull. I just couldn't feel any apathy towards them. So I do agree that it's not that scary and very, VERY cliché, especially the part about the plushie. Everyone's using evil plushies anymore, it's just silly now. Maybe the story could have some potential to actually be disturbing if there weren't so many trite and lazy ideas incorporated into it; but I'm simply speaking my opinion. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I joke about how my "area of interest" fluctuates between music, writing, voice acting - and so many other random things I never even considered. So as far as a career goes, I'm not so sure. Right now, I'm just focused on becoming a responsible adult, because goodness knows, if I can't take care of myself first, I'll have a hard future ahead. But on a side note...I can see myself getting married within the next five to ten years. But on a side note...I can see myself getting married within the next five to ten years. |

I contemplated suicide for a while. I didn't want to kill myself; I didn't want to leave my family and friends behind, but I felt like my life was a mistake. I felt incompetent and that I couldn't even do the simplest of tasks without needing someone to hold my hand. I had felt that I was a burden on my parents because of my "incompetence" and that I'd do everyone a favor (myself included) if I just killed myself. It came to a point to where I held no value for my life. I was miserable. I was scared.
But the enemy was using this to try to destroy me. He whispered those lies in my ear, and I knew it even though I believed somewhat of what he told me. How I felt I was and who I thought I was is not who God created. After all, God knows us better than we know ourselves. And God doesn't make mistakes. He's laid out a plan for each of our lives since before the beginning of the universe. And you look at how everything in the universe works now, like how the planets orbit on a constant course, never drifting off or colliding into another planet. They're at a far enough distance to not pull one another into them. You see a lot of life benefiting another thing, like bees pollinate another plant or when something dies and decomposes, it fertilizes the ground. If God made mistakes, everything in creation would be falling apart around us. Nothing would work right. His design is flawless. I know, I might've strayed from the point a little. Suicide is devastating, and I want people to know that there's more beyond what we see or know. God is always working in the background, putting things into place. So I guess my point is: never give up on yourself...because God will never give up on you. I mean, He doesn't see our lives worthless. He sent His Son to die for us so we could forever be in Heaven - to have eternal life. Why would He do that if He didn't think we were worth it to Him? People on this fallen earth will sometimes see us not worth the time or trouble, maybe a lost cause. Maybe they won't give us a chance at all...but not God. He devised a plan to save us even before anything existed. One more thing before I finish. Satan is always out to destroy us. He knows how we are, our fears, our weaknesses, everything. He'll manipulate those things to try to steal our joy and even drive us to our own demise. The Bible says he's like a lion ready to devour us at any given moment. If Satan is so eager to destroy us - trying really, really hard...then he must know how bright of a future we have...right? But the enemy was using this to try to destroy me. I did actually play Metroid and Castlevania a little bit. I honestly can't remember if it was I who had Castlevania or if it was my brother - but I do know he had Metroid, and I sometimes played it whenever he visited. I don't remember too much about Castlevania...
The only Megaman game I ever played then was Megaman X4 (which I forgot to mention earlier.) I don't recall ever being introduced to classic Megaman, though - nor any Zelda. I first played both of them once I came here. So yeah...I think I might've missed out on some of that... The only Megaman game I ever played then was Megaman X4 (which I forgot to mention earlier.) Mine....gosh, I'd say were a lot of the Genesis games like Aladdin, Sonic 2, Road Rash, World of Illusion, Street Fighter...then there were a bunch for the PS1 like Twisted Metal, Capcom vs Marvel, Final Fantasy Tactics, Syphon Filter; and Super Mario, Goldeneye, and Starfox were really the only ones I played on the Nintendo 64. So many memories... Oh, yeah...I can't forget Commander Keen and Doom for the PC! Oh, yeah...I can't forget Commander Keen and Doom for the PC! |

I had a ton as a child, but I think my biggest fear was of computers during the night. Something about them freaked me out. Yeah, I know...I had some totally ridiculous fears. I'm also kind of scared of trains - only if I'm in a car. Standing beside one is okay, though... I'm also kind of scared of trains - only if I'm in a car. Standing beside one is okay, though... |

Sometimes there are some really unfortunate moments in a level. Some of them are hilarious, some are just flat out annoying. I consider my moment a little bit of both. This happened last night. I'm playing Sonic 3 and Knuckles. I just collected all seven Chaos Emeralds by the second level. I'm already having a hard enough time keeping more than a few rings (because I'm horrible at the game.) I've only been Super Sonic very briefly - usually at the very end of an act. Suddenly, I hit this lucky break. I guess by maybe the fourth or fifth level now, I'm somehow avoiding taking any hits (or at least keeping a shield on most of the time,) and I'm grabbing a ton of rings in the bonus stages. I've collected almost three hundred rings. I'm going to be Super Sonic for a while now, and I still have plenty of stage to plow through. And wouldn't you know, a minute in, I get crushed. Yesterday, SEGA released the debut trailer for the video game and related cartoon show Sonic Boom. If you haven't seen the trailers already, I'd encourage you go check them out on YouTube. What I've said below isn't a spoiler, it just may not make much sense until you've seen things for yourself -- but it's strictly up to you. Now on to my personal thoughts. When I first saw the teaser image, the silhouettes seemed pretty normal (other than Knuckles.) Aside from Sonic appearing to have unkempt quills, I wondered if maybe he'd wear a vest. It kind of looked that way. But as it turned out, it was more than that: blue arms, bandages up and down his arms and legs and shoes (also redesigned), and a brown scarf. For the longest time, all that he has worn were plain, white gloves and his red sneakers. That's been what -- nearly 23 years now? Any shed of clothing seems just a tad bit out of character. Maybe even subtle? I'll keep in mind that this is only a design separate from the cannon world. Whew... A permanent change after two decades might be too much to chew on. To continue, Tails looks cute with his flight goggles, satchel of tools, and workman gloves. He's the least changed, next to Amy, who no longer wears her red dress and red boots. In fact, she looks tougher now; we will see how her personality reflects when the game releases. I'm hopeful she's more mature now. ...Knuckles' design...I have no words. You probably know what I mean. As far as gameplay goes, I haven't seen enough to give a solid opinion. I will say it does look interesting, and from what I've discovered from interviews and articles, the co-op gameplay is a nice change of pace for the franchise. Correct me if my information is wrong, though. So as surprising as this is (and very different for a Sonic game,) I don't believe what's transpired is necessarily a bad thing. I don't have much to elaborate on that other than I don't think a little bit of a change is the end of the world. Sometimes change is good. Yeah, it will take some time to get used to, but I'm eager to see where this goes. On a side note, I'm excited for Roger C. Smith, Kate Higgins, Travis Willingham, Mike Pollock, and Cindy Robinson to reprise their roles as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Eggman, and Amy. Furthermore, I am even more excited to see this come to the TV screen; it's been a while since Sonic X and it's nice for Sonic to have another show, especially one constructed of CGI. I really like what I've seen so far, but that may change once the show airs. But anyway, enough of me blabbing away, I'd love to hear your thoughts. EDIT: Whoops...someone already covered this topic.? My bad! Now on to my personal thoughts. When I first saw the teaser image, the silhouettes seemed pretty normal (other than Knuckles.) I've only started drinking coffee recently (thanks to my previous job and getting up extra early for church.) At first, I drank French Vanilla coffee with a little bit of cream and sugar, but I've moved on to drinking just plain, black coffee. Sucks that our coffee maker just broke... |

Hi, I'm not real new to this site (I've been here for almost a month, I suppose) but I have neglected to actually introduce myself. I guess I got distracted with all the awesome, nostalgic goodies on here, haha. So I live in Texas, I enjoy music and play a few instruments (guitar, drums, and bass.) I am a Christian and serve on the worship team at my church. I am excited to say I will be graduating high school soon, but I have no clue what I'll do afterwards ... I'm not too worried about it, though. I like to draw, especially Sonic the Hedgehog. He's my all-time favorite video game character. I'm thrilled to have discovered Vizzed! It's been forever since I've last played any games I grew up with. My goodness, the games on here bring back so many memories I'm starting to feel old, haha. But anyway ... this is who I am. I was about three or four years old. My brothers had gotten me a Sega Genesis for Christmas. I got so excited when I saw Sonic the Hedgehog on the box. I have so many fond memories playing that thing. My mom and I played Castle of Illusion a lot, even though we could never get passed the first level, haha. Gotta love the retro consoles. |
