yoshirulez! : Thank you so much! This is the first review I have written where I beat the whole game! Since I know the creator personally I was the tester before he submitted the game on here. It took some time beating the whole game since my usual emulator does not like Emerald games for some odd reason.... But again thank you so much! I really loved this game and it was so much better than the original game. ![]() Thank you so much! This is the first review I have written where I beat the whole game! To start I do not usually play Emerald hacks because I do not like how there is so much more puzzles to go through. I am more of a training up my Pokemon and beating the E4 as soon as possible just to add the hack to my list of completed games. However, this hack was actually interesting and definitely more enjoyable than the original Emerald version of which this is a hacked version of. I had to go to google for the puzzles and to figure out what to do during different points of the game just because I haven't played Emerald in a while. This game is really good and fun to play and offers so much more than the original Emerald game. Overall: 10 This hack deserves a 10/10 rating. It had different starters, great wild Pokemon, some pretty interesting map changes for certain cities and towns which held really cool "secrets: as the creator puts it, the E4 is changed up and is stronger than usual both with attacks and levels, and of course the champion..... 1 word of advice for the champion and that is to have a variety Pokemon team because the champion's Pokemon are apparently hand picked by the creator of the hack! Seems kind of scary and trust me it is..... Graphics: 10 I absolutely LOVED how some of the graphics were switched around in this hack! Some Pokemon like my Blastoise and Charizard had really neat looking glows when you threw them out during battles! Blastoise had this blue shine to it and my Charizard had a red shine, both were similar but still pretty cool. Then the creator kept the cut scenes in it where you saw Groudon and Kyogre battling which was really epic and different! So graphics deserve a 10/10 because it was both better and considering the console it is under the graphics were great! Sound: 10 Not much to say about this since the creator of this hack chose not to play around with some of the in game tracks. I however, like the fact that nothing annoying was added and made the experience with listening to the music in game more enjoyable than usual. Addictiveness: 9 This hack had great wild Pokemon, interesting starters, cool map add-ons that were great and helped make training your team easier, and of course it had a harder difficulty but not enough where you do not enjoy the game but enough where it gave you a little challenge. Of course the difficulty curve from the last gym leader to the E4 and then to the Champion was a little more drastic than I would have wanted this hack was just great and fun! I want to play this game again before trying another hack just to make a whole new team! I thought it was genius to make an Eevee route in the game as well as have all 3 generations of starters available in the same routes right in the beginning of the game. Story:10 Descr Pokemon Final Flames is a hack created by Deadend136 who also made Pokemon G Version as well as Pokemon Double Battle. In this hack your new starters are Eevee, Vulpix, and Growlithe. Now as all my fans know I always add the same held item for all of the starters and the held item is none other than the FIRE STONE! That means that right when you get your starter from the professor you are able to evolve it right away! Now why is there a boost like this so early on in the hack you ask? Well let’s just say your starters are a little under leveled and your rival’s starter is one that we all hate if you are a fan of the Crystal, Silver, and Gold titles! Some changes in this hack from the original is a larger variety of wild Pokemon in the grass, in some towns and cities there are grassy areas with a surprise waiting in each, rival’s starter has an annoying held item, E4 is changed almost completely, gym leaders are stronger, the champion is the team I used when I played through the original Emerald and higher leveled, and even a few map changes! And you can battle through the Battle Pyramid in this hack like the original which only adds to the fun! I hope you all enjoy my first non-beta hack I made and please rate even if you hate and feel free to add many screen shots because I personally feel that this hack is the best of my 3 I have out on here! -Deadend136 So as you can see the story is pretty much the same but the hack included many different changes which made the story change a little more which was very nice! Depth: 10 Usually the depth of Pokemon games in general is just getting a team, beating the gyms, destroying a criminal organization, and becoming the champion of the region. This tends to be the same way with many hacks out there now and very few hacks actually allow you to do different things. This hack allows you to do contests, this battle building where you earn prizes by battling with different Pokemon, and you are able to destroy 2 criminal organizations! And after that you are allowed to become the big champion so the depth of this hack is definitely there! (Almost went all the way to the master contest hall with my Castform!) Difficulty: 8 i can't give too much away but this hack can either be the easiest hack you have ever played where you do not start with an over powered Pokemon or it can be very difficult if you do not cheat with training which is easy to do in this hack. I actually found a few players end up grinding there team of 3 Pokemon to level 40 before even beating the first gym! You may think it would take a long time to do that but really the creator made it so that if you hate training your Pokemon up you can do it very easily which still takes some time but it does not take you hours like usual. I personally before wanting to face the E4 brought in a 6th team member from level 3(It was a charmander) and it only took me an hour to train it up to level 50. So if you are a player who hates training for hours just to beat a hacked game this game is definitely for you! Hope you all enjoyed my review and definitely check this hack out! Congratulations to Deadend136 for reaching over 2.2k plays on it! Overall: 10 This hack deserves a 10/10 rating. So there have been many hacks that have been submitted and uploaded to this website because of a Pokémon Hack Competition but does quantity really mean more than quality? Though this hack may have had a little twist added does it really make it a game that would be considered a "hack"? The only changes that I saw playing this game were changes made to wild Pokémon in some areas, the starter Pokémon which include: abra, zubat, and gastly (By the way developer you should change the summary so abra is spelled correctly), and also some minor map changes which include a few building placements, and how certain random sprites out of battle look. So again does this really count as a hack despite the definition that just claims a few minor changes technically makes a game hacked? I do not think so but despite my opinion on the topic I decided to try this game out regardless and make a review. Graphics and Sound: 8 Nothing was changed in these areas from the original Pokémon Ruby game on the GBA so there is nothing to really talk about in this area. The original Pokémon Ruby Version had phenomenal graphics and the soundtracks were in my opinion much better than previous versions. So these categories still deserve a rating of 8 just because of the fact that the original versions would score very high and because the original soundtracks and graphics were not changed. Addictiveness: 3 One of my favorite in game Pokémon to have is an Abra and I loved the fact that it was a starter and that it could fully evolve into the Alakazam without the need to trade. I was quickly disappointed to find out that the creator changed the move pools of it around as well as the level it fully evolves (Should be lv.16 but instead it was lv.8) Now the move pools SHOULD HAVE NOT been changed around just because each starter holds a Masterball. Though it is not very fun having a lv.5 Abra as a starter that only knows Teleport, there was the 2nd generation starters in the grass you could have chosen to catch and all three of that generation's starters had pretty decent stats so again I was extremely disappointed. Story and Depth: 8 The depth had minor changes and in my opinion any hack that changes around wild Pokémon in areas makes it a decent hack as long as there are more meaningful changes throughout the game. So in the original Pokémon Ruby version the story is: "Shortly before approaching the town of the first Gym Leader, the protagonist first encounters the Team Magma/Aqua in the Petalburg Woods, where he or she rescues a worker from Devon (a company that manufactures Pokéballs) and recovers Devon merchandise.[19] Upon arriving in Fallarbor Town (after defeating the third Gym Leader), the protagonist discovers that Professor Cozmo, an astronomer, has been kidnapped by Magma/Aqua. The protagonist traces them to a cave, Meteor Falls, but is too late to stop them from escaping to Mt. Chimney with a meteorite. The protagonist follows Magma/Aqua to Mt. Chimney where they are preparing to use the meteorite to alter the climate of the region. The protagonist defeats the Team's leader, however, and returns the meteorite to Professor Cozmo.[20] Shortly after the protagonist defeats the fifth Gym Leader (the protagonist's father, the first time such a character appears), Magma/Aqua again attempts to change the region's climate by stealing a Castform, a Pokémon with the ability to change the weather, from the Weather Institute.[21] After the protagonist defeats the sixth Gym Leader, Magma/Aqua steals an orb with the ability to control a legendary Pokémon (Groudon in Ruby, Kyogre in Sapphire). Magma/Aqua then steals a submarine from Captain Stern in Slateport City; the protagonist, however, infiltrates the team's hideout, but fails to prevent the submarine from being used. Magma/Aqua, then travel with the orb to the Seafloor Cavern, where Groudon or Kyogre resides; the team then uses the orb to awaken the legendary Pokémon, but they have chosen the wrong one and have instead enraged the Pokémon instead of putting it under their thrall. Once awakened, the Pokémon travels to the Cave of Origin and causes a region-wide drought (Ruby) or severe rainstorms (Sapphire). When the protagonist defeats (or captures) the Pokémon, the region's weather returns to normal.[22]"-Wikipedia So the story and depth deserves a rating of 8 just because again nothing changed from the original and again the original Pokémon Ruby Version had a much larger depth and story from previous versions. Difficulty: 3 Changed levels of evolution, move pools, and a free Masterball? Yeah this "hack" was not very difficult. You could even solo it with the Abra as a starter and use the Masterball to catch a legendary while you save the other one you receive later in the game for the Groudon. So the difficulty of this game deserves a rating of 3 because it had a little annoying parts to it but overall you can easily play through it and having an Abra starter you could easily blow through the first 2 gyms with ease. So this hack actually counts as a hack just because there was a minor change made to it that is not in the original. Yep, that is all there is that changed. So what is this minor change? Simple, in Pallet Town there is a patch of grass where you are able to catch super powerful lv.1 Pokémon which include:Gyarados, Blaziken, Pidgeot, Metagross, Rayquaza, Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, Gengar, Mewtwo and Salamence. So is this technically a hack? Yes it does count as a hacked game because there was a minor change from the original. It is a little annoying being a beginner of making hacks myself (Thankfully my brother is teaching me with some hacks he is making) and seeing that a change which was made as such literally takes the developer less than 10 minutes to make. So I have no idea why this "hack" was even accepted on this website but I gave it a chance and it was too easy. So time for the categories! Graphics and Sound: 8 Fire Red and Leaf Green had amazing graphics but since nothing changed from the original version in these areas these categories deserve a rating of 8. The hack did have great graphics compared to Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald so a rating of 8, and the soundtracks were better as well than those titles so sound deserves an 8. Addictiveness: 3 I would not play this hack again just because of the fact that this is not a beta version and there is only a minor change which was made from the original which if I wanted to I could do the same thing in 10 minutes and knowing that as a gamer I feel that I was ripped off of my time. ![]() Story: 7 Fire Red and Leaf Green did not have a lot of changes from the original Pokémon Red and Blue so even though it is a great story to it there was no changes and this hack did not change anything except the patch of grass which again was annoying! Depth: 6 It offers only a little more than Fire Red and Leaf Green but only a patch of grass more. Therefore, this category gets a 6 rating just because it was a little over the average hack which is the original roms of Fire Red and Leaf Green. Difficulty: 2 This is fairly obvious. You are able to catch again: Gyarados, Blaziken, Pidgeot, Metagross, Rayquaza, Alakazam, Machamp, Golem, Gengar, Mewtwo and Salamence at lv.1 so once you train your team to a certain point it is almost impossible to even be able to have one of them faint during battle which is why this category receives a difficulty of 2. So overall I as a Pokémon Hack Gamer was extremely disappointed in the lack of creativity and the lack of respect. I really can't respect anyone who makes 1 minor change just to call a game a "hacked version" and I really have no idea why this is even on the website as a hacked game. -flygirl11 Graphics and Sound: 8 Fire Red and Leaf Green had amazing graphics but since nothing changed from the original version in these areas these categories deserve a rating of 8. Just to start this review off this is in my top 3 favorite hacks and being a Pokémon Hack Gamer that really tells a lot about this hack. It is not the type of hack where there are new maps, new gyms, text changes, etc. which is not that great because the adventure aspect does not change but it is also not bad because I have seen some very awkward changes in hacks where you could tell the developer did not work very hard on it. The main changes in this hack is the fact that on the beginning routes you could catch both legendaries and random final evolutionary Pokémon such as Gorebyss, Aggron, Moltres, Salamence, etc. which if you love legendary Pokémon then you will absolutely enjoy this hack. Also another change is that there is a path before you battle your rival for the first time that makes it possible to go to slateport right off the bat or you could catch some Eevee evolutions and final evolutionary starter Pokémon but not all of them as far as I know which if you love starter Pokémon or Eevee evolutions you will be pleased with that add on in this hack. And of course in my opinion one of the more interesting add ons in this hack is you could catch all the hack's starters at lv.50 after Fortree City which makes the game much easier even though it was already not too difficult to begin with. Graphics: 9 Same as Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire so not really much to comment and explain in this category. There were no bugs and no sprite changes so everything is very clear as usual even the battle effects. Deserves a 9 in this category because in other hacks there are many sprite bugs and also for the GBA Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire had very clear graphics vs other game titles on the console. Sound: 9 Again same as Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire which is fine because in some hacks there are soundtracks that can get very annoying very fast. Addictiveness: 10 Personally I love playing this game every couple of weeks just because of the lowered difficulty, the changes that were made on this hack is fun to make really epic teams with early on, and there are no awkward changes that were made which makes this game a little more average with the exception of headaches from awkward story lines, sprites, text changes, etc. which to me and even some fellow gamers is a relief! Story and Depth: 9 and 10 Same story but you could play through the game like normal and compete in contests and do the trick master's puzzles which are usually fun to play through. The depth shows a little increase just because of the new wild Pokémon and the fact that Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire had a much larger depth than other titles on both the console and in the series before these titles. Difficulty: 7 It is not very hard due to no level changes, no rival Pokémon changes, not gym leader or E4 changes, etc. It is also not very difficult because you could catch extremely powerful Pokémon early on in the game with your unlimited masterballs. This hack was in some cases a little harder than other hacks but not very hard compared to hacks that are known to be incredibly difficult. Wow my very first review on here! So this review will be about the game "Pokémon Double Battle" in my opinion one of the hardest Pokémon hacks I have played and I absolutely LOVE Pokémon hacks. The problem is that this game is only a beta version even though I have been told that you could play it all the way through so instead of saying it is a beta version maybe you could say that it is incomplete? There are a few bugs but that does not surprise me since this is an incomplete game. Graphics: 9 This beta version is an incomplete hack of Pokémon Sapphire but playing through this game the name "Double Battle" sums it up because throughout the game even if the trainer only has 2 Pokémon it will be a double battle. Which to me adds to the graphics rating because both Pokémon Sapphire and Ruby did not have that type of game mode. Other than that the same graphics were left from Pokémon Sapphire which was not a big let down but one could hope when the developer releases the main version we will see a boost in graphics. Sound: 9 The sound was left the same as Pokémon Sapphire which was a relief because I like playing with the sound on during hacks and the same music as in the original is in my opinion just so much better than random music being put in that gets annoying after a while. Since Pokémon Sapphire had such an array of soundtracks all which were not annoying I gave this rating a 9. Addictiveness: 10 So as I said this game does have its bugs but the addictiveness is really there. I do not usually enjoy certain hacks due to weird text changes that are jokes about random cartoons that I never watched, the really random starters that do not really go well together as starters, and of course the really not well done map changes that confuse you because instead of doing a good job it seems that the creator just pieced together random map parts. This hack does not give you any of those three ingredients I listed which again was a BIG RELIEF! Also the difficulty increase was enough that I enjoyed the game rather than breaking my computer because of the amount of grinding I would need to do to move on. I chose the Machop as my starter but looking at some of the screen shots I could tell that the other two would be tough to train to beat your rival so if you are looking to have an easier time playing definitely start out with the Machop! But I was told if you picked Tyrogue then you will see a very large power boost when it evolves so definitely keep that in mind. ![]() Story: 9 What can be said is that double battles even with the Elite Four makes the story a little more interesting and enjoyable even if nothing changed from the original Pokémon Sapphire. I love that the story stayed the same because it makes the game easier where you do not need to really pay attention to every small detail or look up game play videos or online strategy guides just to continue the game and the puzzles. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that you can still do the trick master's house and contests which I loved doing after a few badges and HMs. Depth: 9 Nothing changed too much as far as the original game. There are almost all double battles, gym leader team changes, level increase of normal trainer's Pokémon, and the Elite Four's teams are also changed and much harder than in the original. So this category deserves a 9 because even though there could have been more changes made there were still enough to change up the hack a little bit. Difficulty: 10 This hack in my opinion is much harder than even Pokémon Dark Rising which took even all my friends a while to beat. Nothing too big changed from the original but if you do not have the right types on your teams when you play this game then you will definitely need to add newer team members which adds to the amount of grinding needed as well as the difficulty. Also the first gym changed in a way where your whole team could be put to Hope you all enjoyed my first review and I would recommend this game to the average Pokémon Hack player who likes a more difficult hack! ![]() Graphics: 9 This beta version is an incomplete hack of Pokémon Sapphire but playing through this game the name "Double Battle" sums it up because throughout the game even if the trainer only has 2 Pokémon it will be a double battle. Hi everyone! My name is Amber and I am new to this website. My brother Deadend136 referred me to this website and apparently he likes this website a lot so I decided to try it out! I am a big Pokémon fan and absolutely love playing hacked versions and I was told that instead of constantly downloading new ones all I had to do was install the plug in on this website and I could play many of them! I will be trying out my big brothers hacks before I explore a little more but does anyone have any suggestions of cool hacks I could play on here? I have played some more of the mainstream hacks so if anyone does make suggestions just keep that in mind! Oh and I know my ign is flyguy11 stupid auto correct made it like that and I did not know how to change it to flygirl11 so hopefully someone could help me with that. |
