@Ultimatone
Concerning the 980ti, they stated it will be fully compatible with windows 10 and have full direct x12 support, so that shouldn't be an issue. There is a chance I don't even upgrade to windows 10 for a few years, depends how smoothly their launch goes .Direct X 12 is the major thing I am looking at when deciding on a graphics card. Since it will be the cornerstone of every modern game to come out starting next year. I do not want to go too cheap, yet I do not have $1000 to drop on a high end card so the 980ti seemed the best choice. With it being only $650 and having a lot of the same specs as nvidia's Titan, I thought it was a solid choice. I was looking into AMD's FuryX, but recently it had some pretty bad benchmark reviews, so I decided not to look further into that card.
I will go with a custom water cooling set up because I want the experience setting one up. I will let you know when I do decide to start choosing parts. Like I said, I want to save up for my graphics card first. Because that could take awhile I didn't want to start picking parts till I am ready to order, since tech changes constantly.

As for the headset, it is my baby. I love it. Best headset I have ever owned. I play Counter Strike religiously and have for around 14 years, so sound is very very important.
I just downloaded Dota 2 the other night, I haven't tried it yet. I play League of Legends a lot, but mostly with my girlfriend, since that is all she plays as far as pc games go. If you want to add me to steam you can search sYndROCK or ATF_sYndROCK

Sorry this might be a bit short, on break so trying to make this quick.
I use my pc for work and gaming.
My computer is about 4 years old and I am in the process of building a new one. Currently my headset is my most expensive computer part.
Not counting keyboard/mouse/headset I spent $475 on my pc
Prices are compared to what I paid for the parts at the time. They are rounded up or down.

Cpu : AMD Phenom II X4 840 Processor 3.20 GHz ( Over clock at 3.6GHz ) $110
Heat sink : Just an older Cooler master heat sink $30
Motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-M68MT-S2  $90
Memory : 1x4Gb kingsford DDR3 1333 ( My other stick died a few days ago, which is too bad because when I bought these they were $30 a stick. $30
PSU : Refurbished 740 Watt ( Don't know the name of it right now ) $40
HDD : Western Digital 700MB ( I forget the speed but it isn't great. I am sorry I am on my work VPN so I can't run cpu-z right now to get specifics ) $55
Video card : Radeon 7770 HD - $120
Airflow : 5x 120mm fans ( not including heat sink fan ) didn't pay for the fans
Case : My tower is a HUGE old alien ware case from 2002. ( back when alien ware wasn't with dell and still made quality products )

My accessories :
Mouse : Logitech g700s wired/wireless mouse - $80
Keyboard : Microsoft basic mechanical keyboard H- $70
headset : Logitech g930 wireless/wired 7.1 surround sound headset. $170
Web cam : Logitech c310 HD 720( For CS:go streaming and work online meetings/conferences ) - $50
$370

I am in the process of building a new computer. My plan is to start playing with water cooling. I have not done water cooling yet, but I have read a lot about it so I do have a pretty good understanding. I am currently saving up for a Nvidia 980ti , which will be the first part I buy. I haven't decided on my cpu or motherboard yet, since it will take me awhile to save up. My budget for my new pc is $1000-$1500. Hoping to have it built by next year and hoping to buy parts that will last at least 5 years.
Nice computer you got there, what pc games do you play?

DRM is bad. You are not able to copy the files because technically they are not yours to trade. Like an above user said, better to get the music via torrent sites. Be very careful downloading any software that claims to decrypt DRM files, it isn't worth the headache. Unless you know someone who can point you to a good download, most the files will be virus/malware/spyware . If you are using a torrent site I strongly suggest you go download a free program called peer block and run that while downloading torrents. You could also choose not to seed, but that is a jerk move. Just use peer block.

When I close chrome my apps are automatically suspended as well. Apps running while chrome is up is not what I am talking about. I was talking about the apps running in the background of my computer after chrome has already been closed. By default the apps will continue to run in the background even with closed.

This is what my desktop look like. Pretty clean for the most part, besides some files I need to access on  daily basis.

Well for starters that article is actually about Apple's operating system, not that will really matter since Google Chrome is the one controlling the apps running. If you change the setting I mentioned above it will disable apps running in the background. Yes, by default the apps run in the background. You can turn it off, turning it off will use less cpu and ram. You are right people have been complaining about this for sometime. I just wanted to share on here, since it does make a pretty big difference on low grade to mid grade computers. I didn't see that someone had posted about it before, my apologies if someone had already posted this.

Did you even read my post Charlie? Did you have a little case of ADD while reading this thread. I said I keep ripping the cord out of the computer. I also run over the cord a lot, which can cause some damage. I would rather pay the extra $50 for mobility and ease of mind knowing I am not going to destroy it by ripping the cord out or running it over with my chair. I have destroyed 5 headsets so far in the last 8 years. That is a ridiculous amount when each headset was from $40-$80. If I pay the extra $50 or whatever you say it is I won't need to replace these for a long time considering how my headsets usually break. I think everyone who owns a pair of surround sound head phones and wants wireless should get this pair, it isn't bragging. By the way if you break it you buy it, seriously don't break it. I will be very very angry. Should be home in about 40 minutes.

So Google Chrome has a couple extremely annoying features that can be easily disabled and really should be if you are using Google Chrome on a lower end - mid end computer. Not only does it force hardware acceleration but it also allows application on Google Chrome to run in the background even when Google Chrome is closed. It is really up to you if you want hardware acceleration on, I find it useless on lower end to mid grade computers. Really it will just suck resources from your GPU, which isn't needed at all.
Ok, so what you do is click the 3 bar lines in the upper right corner, just below the "x"
 Click on settings
Scroll all the way down until you see "Show advanced settings" click that
Once again scroll all the way down until you see "system" It will be the second from last option.
Un check both those boxes under "system"
Restart chrome.
Enjoy.

I think you are spending too much on your processor and your cooler. I think you should swap out that gfx card for a Titan. It is made for video editing. You will be paying more, but you might be able to find one on sale for around $600-800. Also why the micro motherboard? You are going to screw yourself on pci pci - e slots. You will only be able to fit the gfx card. I would look at MSI or Gigabyte motherboards. Asrock has really bad customer service, then again so do a lot of mobo companies.
Other than that it looks good.

I prefer over the ear headphones. Surround sound is a plus. Also I need a wireless / wired head set. I have destroyed too many headsets by getting up while they were plugged in. I currently use a Logitech g930. It has surround sound and super comfortable headphone pads. Completely noise canceling and is both wired and wireless. I have never had any issue running it wireless, very rarely cuts out. Takes 3-4 hours to charge and holds an 8 hour charge. I love them. I would recommend them to anyone who is wanting a good pair of headphones. They are not cheap. I work at home so I have to wear them for 8 hours a day. They are never uncomfortable and they do not make me sweat very much. Honestly they are the best headphones I have ever owned. The mic is flawless as well. Also if you are getting your headphones for pc gaming, stay away from Turtle beach. They are not worth the price. Sure if you use them for xbox maybe, but there are a lot better head phones for the pc for the same price.

I went ahead and reserved my copy of Windows 10, however I have automatic updates turned off. The offer is good for a year anyway, so you don't have to install it right away. I would advise, strongly advise against installing it right away unless you are doing so just to test it. Windows is known to have bugs when an operating system releases. I would let other users deal with all the headaches and wait till a more stable release comes out. Windows media player was crap so yea, VLC is a much better choice. So for the mean time I will reserve my copy, but it will not get installed till Microsoft updates it into a stable operating system.

Wow, what an excellent review you wrote. Very impressive, I will have to look up some of your other reviews. I love the sonic franchise almost as much as I love the Sega Dreamcast. I wish my controller was not broke so I could actually play this, hopefully I will have a new one by next month. On another note, we needed another Zelda fan to post here, so here I am.

I play pretty late Bli7z. I typically play around 2 a.M. Your time. I will be on tonight for awhile. Hopefully you can get on. I ranked up to AK finally.
If anyone wants to play add me on steam. I am a long time player but I do not take it super serious like most the Counter Strike players. I just have fun, it is just a game after all. My steam id is SyndROCK. Hope to see some of you guys on the battlefield.

I use both Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. I use Chrome for most my routine Internet browsing. I enjoy how quick it is on start up and loading. I also feel I have more privacy and security options ready at hand with Google Chrome in comparison to Mozilla Firefox. Google Chrome also has a lot of neat extensions. From my experience most extensions seem to work more "flawlessly" with Google Chrome; Ad Block for example.
Like I said though I do use both. I really have nothing bad  to say about Firefox.

Just to clear something up, since it is kind of a silly talking point, Obama is not the first president to take a vacation on tax payers $$$. He isn't the last either. 14: Number of vacation trips taken by Obama since he took office in January 2009.
Bush took more vacations than Obama has. I mean a lot more. I think Bush had somewhere around 7 trips to Africa alone. Not counting his ranch in Texas or his retreat in Maine. But, it is easy to compare one president to another, so I really don't want to do that too much. I can't help but think if we didn't have political parties things would be very very different. People tend to forget what is important for humanity. Our government is sick.

I do approve of the job the President has done. I wish he could do more, but it is kind of hard to do anything when Republicans are stonewalling the process on a daily basis. Let's just take a look at some of the things Obama has accomplished as President.

1. Passed Health Care Reform.
2. Passed the Stimulus which has produced nearly 7 MILLION Private-Sector Jobs.
3: Passed the Wall Street Reform after its practices caused the Great Recession.'
4: Ended the War in Iraq, last troops pulled out December 18th, 2011.
5: Killed Osama. (In before "HE only gave the Command, he didn't PERSONALLY do ANYTHING!1")
6: Prevented the Collapse of our Auto Industry. ($16B from Bush and $62B from Obama) Created 200,000+ jobs, and the 3 biggest of the Automakers have ALL gained Market Share for the first time in 2 decades.
7: Repealed 'Dont Ask, Don't Tell'.
8: Reversed Bush Torture Policies.
9: Separated Banks from the Student Federal Loan and expanded Student Pell Grant funding.
10: Helped Veterans (Of which I am one) by offering Tax Credits to any Business who hires any Veteran, thus increasing chances of Vets getting Jobs.
11. Tightened Sanctions on Iran. In an effort to deter Iran’s nuclear program, signed Comprehensive Iran Sanctions, Accountability, and Divestment Act (2010) to punish firms and individuals who aid Iran’s petroleum sector.
12: Eliminated Catch-22 in Pay Equality Laws. Passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which gives Women the right to sue their Employers if they find out their being paid less because of Discrimination.
13: Improved Food Safety System. In 2011, signed FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, which boosts the Food and Drug Administration’s budget by $1.4 billion and expands its regulatory responsibilities to include increasing number of food inspections, issuing direct food recalls, and reviewing the current food safety practices of countries importing products into America.
14: Expanded Health Coverage for Children. Using ONLY the Tax Increase on Tobacco Products, the Children's Health Insurance Authorization Act will provide Insurance for 4 Million more Children.
15: Expanded Stem Cell Research. In 2009, eliminated the Bush-era restrictions on embryonic stem cell research, which shows promise in treating spinal injuries, among many other areas.

Now if you are getting your information from "Fox News" I could see why you would hate Obama. Please understand Fox News is not based on facts and if you would like proof of that I can provide that as well. Perhaps I will save that for another topic.
