Money by itself will not make you happy, but for some reason its nicer to cry in a Mercedes than a Honda.

Head north. I live a half a block away from a river that runs north out of the city. Canoe full of gear and me and the family are swiftly on our way out. As for any zombies that can swim, they won't be able to swim as fast as a canoe getting paddled. Once out of the city, stay away from populated centres and head north to find a place to spend the winter. When the zombies freeze, their brains will lose the ability to carry the electrical signals that they need to move and Voila! If you can survive the first winter, your chances of survival just easily tripled. When the weather changes to warm, pick a nice northern city to go to an bam, you have the entire dead city at your fingertips! Liquor, gas, food and lodging in abundance! I kind of hope a zombie apocalypse would happen, just so I could return to the empty city after a winter and go anywhere or do anything.

warmaker : Exactly. Look at the animal kingdom. It is rife with violence. Who are we to remove ourselves from that when we have existed on this planet along side these animals for thousands of years, just because we wear clothes and use utensils to eat our cooked food? The fact that we can use tools and weapons better than any other animal just makes us more efficient at enacting violence, it does not elevate us above them. On the other page you can easily witness a Lioness express great love and care for her cubs, a goose's monogamous loyalty to its partner until death, or a pair of bear cubs play fighting with their siblings just as we do. Also I'm not violent but if you put me or my family in a life or death situation and you are the threat, then I will fight tooth and nail to protect my own, just like a dog in a corner.

You ask if are humans naturally violent? I say we are perfectly natural.

MoblinGardens : I am glad I could share! There has been plenty of times where I was completely happy with how things are but if I had just exercised a little more awareness and confidence I could have made things even better. In bad times its even more important to step up to the edge and use our agency to make the choices the simply being aware and present can give you.

Also, I fixed my messed up post, it can be a test of patience posting here with a phone instead of a proper computer!

Dear Optimist and Pessimist,

While you two were arguing about whether the glass was half full or half empty, I drank the water.

Sincerely,
The Opportunist.

What this means is it doesn't matter if the glass is half full or half empty if your not going to seize the day and harness the bounty that lies in any situation. Overall though I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

I absolutely love swords, I've been a collector on and off over the years. I even almost lost my finger in a sword fight, receiving 6 stitches in the process.
I have a old display calvalry sword that I removed the handle and replaced it with a 10 inch open elk antler grip. I also moved it further up the blade to create a full tang, it's pretty sweet right now.
I used to have a really nice katana with a full tang but lent it to a friend for a movie he was shooting and it got lost after he passed away. But that's ok because I'm currently in negotiations to purchase a beautiful full tang katana that was hand made in japan for a smoking deal, over 50% off retail price! It has amazing balance and has the level of quality that I've been looking for ever since I started collecting 20 years ago! I'm very excited!
A couple months ago I made a real sweet ninjato for my daughter out of wood, she loves it and uses it to practice her martial arts.

Here in Canada, you can still be charged with manslaughter under these situations. Now with that being said, if anyone breaks into my house while my wife and daughter are there, then I will do anything in my power to eliminate that threat, laws be damned. I'd much rather spend 8 years in prison for protecting my family then live the rest of my life knowing that my daughter died because of my inaction.
If I was alone, I'd attempt to allow the robber to leave of his own accord without confrontation. I have no desire to live my life with killing someone on my conscience and material possessions are not worth the risk, except maybe my transformers collection.

IgorBird122 : I think Ron Paul is overall amazing and it is sad how he is shut down from the debates and media attention. His ideals in the short term I feel would cause some great economical and societal pains but in the long term it would be worth it and the US would be better off for it. I must agree with you as well on that.

IgorBird122 : I think the main problem is that the system is now designed to keep out those who would be making some real major changes. The world's governments are so dependant on the status quo that they have created a system that slowly breaks down a possible candidate's conviction through tools such as temptation, cynicism, justification, righteousness and misinformation. After years of moving up the hierarchy, when you reach the top levels of government you've already been formatted into what the powers that be wish to have as a figurehead.

Over all he has done well. He inherited a country on the brink of financial collapse, actively at war, and dealing with a pending fuel crisis. Not what I'd call the ideal term in office. At the risk of falling into the "just keep the other guy out of office" mentality, I'd have to say that I'd have voted for him if I was American.

I quit smoking just over two months ago so I'd be crazy to start again. That being said, I choose drinking.

Hi everyone! A couple weeks ago I had the urge to look up some old arcade games from my youth and after a brief search, I found this place and wow! What an amazing site! I look forward to getting to learn more about how things work here and become a part of the community.
Allow me to share a little about myself here, I am a 34 year old married man with one child. I am currently working as a carpenter but am involved with a real estate investor who is teaching me how to do what he does so one day I can put down my hammer. I also enjoy writing Transformer fan-fic and articles for my community newsletter and will be pursuing that a little more seriously once I can spend more time on it.
Some of the games that brought me here include Shinobi, Ninjaboy, Rygar, and Mr. Wardner. All from when I was a little kid riding my BMX down to the arcade during the 80's!
Any ways, thank you for reading and cheers!
