Mynamescox44 :
I'd have an eternity and I'm all powerful? I'd become an entire universe, make myself unaware of myself, and live countless number of lives for all eternity over and over again.

I have a soft spot in my heart for villians (sometimes) and I'd probably marry Bowser. He tries so hard to act tough, but I think he's a sweetheart underneath it all. Also, no matter how many times he fails, he gets right back up and tries things again. He'd just have to get over Peach is all!

It's a bit too large for my tastes and the image is a little blurry. Other than that, I like how you contrasted an image with solid color, so that way it's not too busy and cluttered.

I don't think kids are too sheltered, actually just the opposite. I think the parents of today aren't involved enough in what their kids are exposed to or they simply don't care. For example, I have a niece who is now 17, but when she was a child, around 7 or 8, she was exposed to many shows involving sex, gore, and tons of swearing. Her mother, my sister, simply didn't care. It's easier for some to put a child in front of a t.v. and walk away.

Now, my niece is a good kid, but there's no reason to have exposed her to such things at such an early and impressionable age. I think judging each child/teen/young adult individually and gauging their maturity level is important before exposing them to the elements of the world. It helps to keep open communication, show expectations, and define boundaries. How they will view/understand what a healthy relationship is, whether it be platonic or romantic, how they interact with and treat others (strangers and friends), and what they'll view as wrong and right, can all be altered and twisted by the media, people you bring over, and their peers.

Basically, communicate with your kids and try to gauge what they should be able to handle. Discuss what you're watching and who they are interacting with.

As for your comments on kids feeling sad or angry or any other feeling. There's nothing wrong with a child experiencing emotions, it's healthy in my eyes. Of course, like a broken record, discuss it with your kids if you or they feel deeply affected by something.

I know not everyone shares these views, but they are mine based on my own personal experiences.

This is a bit of code that works for trusted members, if any of them are interested. It will give your profile page a background. All you need to do is copy and paste this code into your bio when you are editing your profile.

1. Find an image on the internet that you want for your background. Copy the web address for later use.

2. Paste this string of code into the bio section of your profile:
http://imgur.com/eN0ycgc (code seen here; sorry about the link color!)

3. Edit the above code by replacing the yellow highlighted section of it with your image you want for your profile page.

4. Save the edit and see your creation!

5. If it doesn't line up correctly on your profile page, change green highlighted section's direction on the page. (You may need to fiddle with it a bit to make it work.)

People of Vizzed, please, make us laugh! I love puns, groan-worthy dad jokes, and even pick-up lines. Please share your favorite of each category if you have one.  Other cateogories may include: Anecdotal, Anti-Joke, Knock-Knock, Riddles, etc.

The only things I ask is that:

1. You keep it fairly clean since there are younglings on this site.

2. That you don't simply copy and paste an enormous amount of jokes you found into one big blob of a post.

3. Have fun with this, I can't wait to see everyone's sense of humor!

Pun:
"A friend of mine tried to annoy me with bird puns, but I soon realized that toucan play at that game."

Groan-worthy Dad joke:
"When my wife told me to stop impersonating a flamingo.....I had to put my foot down."

Pick-up Line:
"If I were to ask you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?"

I may be a bit socially awkward and avoid social gatherings, but I'm not autistic. I can't imagine the uphill battle it must be either. I've gotten better with my own interacting with others issues as I've grown and matured, but it's nothing compared to those on the spectrum. As for those on Vizzed with a form of Autism, I'm totally fine with it. It can be difficult to communicate in general, but then throw in only using text, like the forums or chat room, I try to be understanding and assume the best of others. I think taking that approach with others, whether someone is Autistic or not, would clear up any bad feelings over one another.

p.s. This is why I tend to take whatever says in the chat as serious, I never intend to offend! (jokes and random silliness tend to go over my head in chat.)

I very rarely do, mainly due to cost and the fact that I enjoy envisioning characters in my mind when I read instead of some artist doing it for me. I do love the comic book based on the Crow, seen here: https://goo.gl/cw9Dli. It wasn't too expensive and it has 272 pages, so it's well worth it. The art and story are interesting as well. I usually don't do romance, but it's got the same feeling as the romantic relationship in the movie Ghost with Patrick Swayze.
Other than that, I sometimes find them at the library and check them out if they seem interesting, but the selection if very limited in my city. I honestly didn't find any of them very memorable either; I couldn't tell you which ones I've checked out over the years. I do wish there were more options at the library, especially for adults!

If they've never contacted me or the contact wasn't very great, I don't add them. It doesn't take much effort to post a reply on my wall, send me a pm, or catch me in the chat room. If they can't do that, why bother adding them back? I'm not a collector of names, just Pokémon.

spenser1151 : I currently am involved in two Pathfinder campaigns at the moment. My group used to play D&D3.5e, but switched to Pathfinder and never looked back. (Those are the only two I have experience in). We play only home brews, so I can't vouch for any of the pre-made campaigns by either system.

As for the adventures, they've been great! I've experienced level 1 characters all the way to the vicious 20th level ones. I have a very experienced DM that leads this all and I'm grateful he's so considerate and creative. In our current adventure, he had us randomly draw names of other people in the group and we get to write their back story without revealing who we have and what we're writing about them. As the campaign progresses, those details are slowly going to be revealed in some way, shape, or form.

Previous adventures have led our group to defeat an evil Red Dragon and his army. (I Baleful Polymorphed one commander in his army, an ice dragon, who partially saved his DC check and then fled as a half rabbit/dragon, which was hilarious! I had the same spell flung back at my character, who partially saved as well and is now part human/rabbit. We joke that this is the beginning of the Viera from Final Fantasy.)

Our last campaign had it where I was secretly a lawful evil Aasimar and a follower of Asmodeus (pretty much Satan). Throughout the entire campaign, I tricked the basically neutral aligned group that I was neutral as well. In the end, her plans of getting the feuding kings to each sign a contract with Asmodeus succeeded, so I call that one a win.

We have a lot of fun and I'm glad the group works/plays so well together.

Is there any way to get them to show up darker? I can sort of tell the top left is a doughnut and the other two are humanoids that kind of look like Sonic characters. I want to be able to fully see them before I form any opinions on them!

Also, kudos to you for being bold enough to post your work; looking forward to seeing them!

Bedding for our new King size bed. Woot! We went to a few different stores and finally decided on one that meet both our standards.

A Super Mario inspired poem

With a red shirt and brown 'stache there was this plumber,
A mushroom eating, goomba, defeating spry newcomer,
His heart beat fast for a blonde sweet royal,
He'd cross mazes of pipes for her, man was loyal,
to overcome the red haired King,
to show Bowser she's no plaything,
But how many castles would he have to private eye,
I'll give it a try. Why shouldn't I?

maguc : That is awesome you're doing that this Valentine's Day. I'm glad you can be there for others who might not have anyone any longer to accompany them. I hope it'll be a blast! Are you bringing them Valentine's Day cards?

Hello boys and girls of Vizzed!

It's getting close to that day that people either groan or swoon about! (or forget about!)

I'm a cheesy romantic person and would love to hear what everyone has planned for this Sunday, February 14th! I know not everyone shares this gushing mentality, so if you don't celebrate it, but have an anti-Valentine's day party/celebration, what does that entail for you and friends/loved ones?

Let me know, I'm curious!

Also, if you know a cool game related Valentine's Day card, post it here. (Just for kicks and giggles.) This one here caught my eye!

With a similar mentality to yoshirulez!, I view myself as neither. I'm more like an NPC in real life. I can be heroic and a coward depending on who's defining the terms and what the situation is. I feel I have a compassionate heart, but I'm a firm believer in tough love for a lot of things. People need to save themselves, so they can grow and learn to be independent. That perspective can be seen as cowardly to some, but I stand my ground. Now, if there's a kitten stuck in a sewer drain, I'm all for helping the little bugger out. Volunteering? Sure, I'm there to lend a hand up when I can. Taking down a robber? Nope, money and materials aren't worth risking my life for.

Long story short, I'm an NPC.

geeogree : Since you reacted so well to the spider photo I showed you, I thought you should join their ranks.

Titled: Gee, a spider!

I've got a lot of free time nowadays, but when there are things to do or tasks to tackle, I can step away from Vizzed. I view it as some kind of reward, either in the chat room or by playing games. I'm lucky in the sense that I'm aware of when time passes and how to prioritize things in my life to stay/keep feeling balanced.
