Hi guys, I'm going to start posting weekly threads every Tuesday from now on, just thought I'd let you know!

What I want to know for this particular thread is what video game era you grew up in , what console drew you into the vast world that is video gaming? what game was so amazing that it made hours feel like minutes? and most importantly, what do you think of consoles from your childhood compared to consoles of the current generation?

Feel free to post here, but I ask all fan boys to refrain from bashing other gamers

metal572 : I agree, i was born after the SNES came into being but I know that a lot of people view/viewed it as a kiddy console, don't get me wrong I love the SNES but personally the PlayStation 2 takes the trophy in my opinion, who didn't love San Andreas?
