Hey guys, Theironhide here with a new review. I remember that someone recommended this game to me back when I made my ps1 Megaman 8 review. Reading his / her comment got me to play a few more Megaman games, including this 1. This is what I'm currently planning: I'm gonna play out and review all main series Megaman Battle Network games chronologically. While I'll play the first 4 games and the sixth game here on Vizzed, I'm planning to play the fifth game in the collection version on my DS to have a bit of verity in my marathon. Well, since I've already played the first 1 out, I'll review that game right now. Lets get this started. Graphics: 9 I have to say, this game doesn't look bad for GBA standards. The graphics in this game are very colorful and the redesigns for the Netnavi's (previously robot masters) are not bad. The game also gives some creative human designs. 1 Flaw I do have with this game thought, is that it sometimes drags a little, especially with the net. Jacking into the net looks cool at first, but after the twentieth time it gets really old. Other than that, I don't have much to say Sound: 6 This game is a lot like Sonic Chronicles: the dark brotherhood, when looking at the sound. The sound effects are pretty good. I like many of the sound effects for this game, like the shooting sound and sound effects for perspective chips (even if the beeping at low hp can get annoying, like in many games). However, here comes the elephant in the room: the music. Like in Sonic Chronicles, the music (at least in my opinion) is terrible. The music in this game (for the most part) sounds like it could have been done on the game gear. Most of the music is also pretty forgettable (at least for me). Overall nice sound effects, but the music keeps the rating low. Addictiveness: 8 I'll be honest with you guys, I didn't expect I would like the game play here so much. It has a unique battle system with a rpg style over world (which makes sense since this game is considered a rpg). I personally really like the battle system. It has you moving in squares and you can use chips you collect though the game either for support, or for attacks that deal more damage than your buster. It can drag a little if you want to progress trough the story and don't know what to do, but other than that my issues are just nitpicks. Story: 8 Being a rpg, progressing though the story is a thing you really want to do. To summarise the story (without any major spoilers): the story focuses on a boy named Lan and his Navi Megaman. 1 day he has to save his house which got sabotaged by a member of an evil organisation called WWW. After that, more trouble keeps being caused by WWW and Land and Megaman have to stop them. They eventually manage to stop their leader. I won't spoil who their leader is, but you could already guess it's a past Megaman villain due to the fact that most of the Netnavi's are redesigns of previous Megaman robots. I could tell more, but then I would spoil too much. Depth: 8 Aside from playing out the main story, you can also try to collect all chips from all enemies in the game. You can also fight other Netnavi's to get their chips. Each Netnavi does have a level 2 chip as well, so don't think you're done with fighting them after getting their level 1 chips. It can take a while, so I only recommend this for completionists. Difficulty: 7 This game can be challenging, but it's not nearly as hard as the platform games. The game was really hard at first for me, but that was before I discovered you can buy hp-ups, power-ups and armors. For those of you who don't know, these are power-ups to increase hp, a certain skill of your buster or to half you damage (with the exception of the element your armor is weak against). When I bought these (and I had a crap ton of money to do so) the game became significantly easier for me. Playing without these power-ups isn't impossible, but you need to be able to dodge extremely well if you want to try this. Overall I honestly didn't expect to like this game as much as I do. The music is pretty bad, but that doesn't turn me away from the fun battle system, nice and colorful graphics, large collection of chips and fun Netnavi battles. I overall give this game an 8 out of 1, not my favorite game, but certainly a fun experience. Graphics: 9 I have to say, this game doesn't look bad for GBA standards. this is not a bad review. you could do a little more research before saying what's new (since the barracks and avatar were already in the last game), but other than that nice job |

Yeah, I've waited long enough for this. Well, all right lets go (as Sonic himself would say). Those of you who have red my Sonic and the Black Knight review (if you haven't, take a look) may wonder what I think of its predecessor Sonic and the Secret Rings. I've already given a few things away in my Black Knight review, but I never went into full detail of my thoughts on this game. See, Sonic and the Black Knight was my first (main series) Sonic game and has been 1 of my all time favorites since, its predecessor (Secret Rings) is a game I got about 5 years later because I was debating whether or not I wanted the game. Thought later on, I decided and I was like: screw it, I like Sonic so I'm gonna give it a chance no matter what negative things people say about it. So you might wonder: do I regret that decision, or am I glad I made it? Well, lets find out Graphics; 8 Yeah, it's no secret that Secret Rings looks pretty outdated. This was Sonic's first game on the WII and that is not very hard to see, since the textures don't have as much detail as later Sonic games on the WII like Black Knight and Colors. Also, the storybook cut scenes ,while they're a nice touch, it seems like Sega didn't want to animate them at all, plus they're a bit blurrier than in Black Knight. However, the fact that the game isn't the most detailed can be excused by the fact that this was Sonic's first WII game. To be honest, while it is not as detailed as later Sonic games on the WII, Sega still did a decent job at the level design and textures. The levels look nice (especially for a launch title) and often show a lot of detail. In fact, the camera often gets very showy during game play. What I mean by this is that the game gives a lot of different camera angels to show of how cool the action in the game looks (like in a lot of level mods for Sonic Generations). The character models, while being pretty outdated now, looked rather nice for their time, and the textures aren't too bad. The game isn't the most appealing visually, but it looks nice for the time it was released and I still think its nice to look at Sound: 9 I have to admit, the sound overall is very well done in this game. Like in Black Knight, the sound effects are used for even the smallest things like walking / running and sound like Sega put a lot of effort into them. However, that pails when compared to the freaking music. The music in this game is (in my opinion) among the best in the series. That honestly feels weird for me to say because when I first listened to 'Let the speed mend it' in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games London 2012 I thought I was gonna hate the music in this game, but my mind was blown by it when I first played the game, you can easily tell that the music far surpassed my expectations. There is not a single music track in this game I don't like and every single track fits with its level (my personal favorite being the 1 that plays in evil foundry). So you may wonder: why only a 9 out of 10? Well the thing that keeps this away from getting a 10 out of 10 is the voice acting. Don't get me wrong, it is a huge step up from Sonic 2006 (especially for Sonic's voice actor, Jason Griffif,) and the recurring characters sound just fine here. However, the same can't be said about the new characters, most specifically Shara (a ring genie that has a similar role to Tails in the more recent games) and the Erazor Djin (the main villain of the game, and no that's not a spoiler because it's revealed in the very first cut scene of the game). I'll honestly admit that I don't hate Shara like others do, but I won't deny that her voice can get really annoying in game play (especially when she yells). As for the Erazor Djin, he is 1 of the most ridiculous villains in Sonic history. I guess he's supposed to sound like a darker version of Disney's take on the genie from Aladdin and I'm sure the voice actor is trying, but I just can't take him seriously (just listen to his dialogue in the final cut scene and you'll know why). That's it for the sound in this game: nice sound effects, epic music, the recurring characters sound fine, the new characters could have been done better. Addictiveness: 8 Here we go to probably the most controversial part of the game: the game play. For those of you who don't know, this game controls kind of like 1 of those WII racing games (like Mario Kart or Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing) where you tilt the WII remote to control Sonic. This is 1 of the reasons why many people don't like this game since they see it as nothing but a gimmick, but I'm not 1 of those people. I personally think the way you control Sonic in this game to be very creative and fun to play with. Sure it's pretty hard to get the hang on at first, but you'll improve over time. The game also has a multiplayer mode which is 1 of the few parts in this game which I think to be better than in Black Knight. The main reason for that being that it has a lot more stuff to do than the multiplayer of Black Knight and it has some very creative and fun mini games. The game itself also has a couple of element that also appeared in Black Knight like the soul gage and a similar jump. I overall thought this game to be a lot of fun to play trough. Story: 5 Yeah, the story is probably the weakest part of the game. Like in my Black Knight review, I'll try to summarise the story without giving away any major spoilers. So this is a basic summary of the story: a genie named Shara gets to Sonic's world trough a book. She tells Sonic that the worlds stories are vanishing, because the evil Erazor Djin is destroying the world of the Arabian Nights. So Shara gives the ring she belongs to to Sonic so that he can wish himself into the world of the Arabian Nights. After a little while, the Erazor Djin appears out of nowhere and explains that he tries to destroy the world of the Arabian Nights and recreate it in his own image (cliché goal, I know). However, he needs the 7 world rings to accomplish his goal, so he curses Sonic (ever thought he tried to curse Shara) in order to force him to go look for the 7 world rings. Also, like in Black Knight, he comes across other recurring characters in form of story figures (like Tails as Ali Baba and Eggman as king Sharyar). So that's a summary of the story. I won't deny that the story is pretty weak (especially the ending), but most people (including myself) don't play Sonic games for the story anyway. 1 thing that is kind of weird is that they were hinting towards a sequel in the end credits. We all know that the game did eventually (a year or 2 later I think) got a sequel, but the kind of sequel they were hinting to was a direct sequel (which never saw the light of day). Depth: 8 I'll be honest, the main story of the game is really short. Heck, I was able to COMPLETE THE ENTIRE MAIN STORY ,INCLUDING CUTSCENES, YESTERDAY. And that's not even a joke, I did complete it in 1 day on my second play trough (which was yesterday). However, the game is not just playing the main story out. Like I previously mentioned, the game has a very fun mutliplayer and a lot of mini games. The game also still has missions to complete if you're done with the main story if you want to.And of course there's always the possibility of replaying the main story (like I did). So, there is plenty of stuff to do in this game and I like it that way. Difficulty: 8 The game can get pretty tough at points. The main reasons why you might get a hard time at this game are the fact that you need to time your movement right by reacting quickly and the tilting mechanic may take a while to get used to. The bosses may also be a pain in your first few tries (especially the battle with the Erazor Djin). Some missions (especially if they're necessary to beat the game) may also be quite frustrating in difficulty.Howeever, it didn't stop me from playing. So those are my thoughts on Secret Rings, how does it hold up? Well to be honest, I didn't had very high expectations for this game. The main reason for that being how bad this game got received by critics, but I honestly think this game is very enjoyable. The game has nice graphics (for its time at least), epic music and fun game play. Because of it, this game (at least to me) deserves an 8 out of 10. Because of games like this, I never lose fate in Sega and Sonic team. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() all right lets go (as Sonic himself would say). Singelli : the main reason for that is because how slow it is, thought I like the single player too much to care. Also, I'm dutch so that may be the reason why I have some misspells ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I'm going to say this right here, right now: Sonic and the black knight is 1 of my favorite sonic games, as well as 1 of my favorite games, of all time. If you are 1 of those people who hates this game with a passion, click of this review, if not then let us begin the review Graphics: 9 This game looks really good. It has some pretty cool looking enemies during game play, and the landscape is very well detailed. I also really like the CGI cut scenes, I know there are only 3 or 4 of them, but they look just so good, especially the crow in the beginning it's seriously the most realistic looking crow I've ever seen in a video game. You may say that the storybook cut scenes are kind of lazy, but I say it still is an improvement over the last game in the storybook series (secret rings). Sound: 10 The sound in this game is really good. The sound effects of things like sword clashes and even running sound like Sega put a lot of effort in these little things. And even if you hate the game, (similar to other newer sonic games) there is 1 quality even the haters like about this game: the music is just amazing. Tracks like ' Knight of the wind ' and ' fight the knight ' are ones i will never get out of my head. It also has a few remixes of older Sonic tracks, the most notable 1 being ' It doesn't matter ' from Sonic Adventure which appears in the fan art sections and in 1 of the cut scenes. And then there is the soundtrack playing in the levels themselves: while I'll say that I honestly prefer the level soundtrack of secret rings (maybe that's just because i like rock), I still like the soundtrack in the levels here. Addictiveness: 10+ Remember the fact that I called this 1 of my favorite games ever, well the game play is the main reason why. This game is really fun to play trough. Sure some of the missions are a little annoying, but you don't have to play these unless you want to. People complain about the mufti player as well. I don't like the mufti player that much either, but I play it for the single player. I've also heard people complaining that this game is easy, well it kind of is, but it is really satisfying to just slice everything apart that comes in your way. Kind of like why people play games like Dynasty Warriors, I play this game because it's so fun to destroy everything in your path. You can also unlock the 3 knights of the round table as playable characters. These being Lancelot (Shadow), Gawain (Knuckles) and Percival (Blaze, which is weird since the real Percival was actually a man). Each of them have minor differences from Sonic and can be upgraded with help of the black smith (Tails) by giving them different blades and you can even give them items that have specific effects (kind of like in a Pokémon game ). Also the boss fights, while being really easy with 1 exception(if you played the game, then you know who I'm talking about), are still pretty fun. I overall just loved playing trough this game, and you really should give it a chance. Story: 6 Like with most Sonic games, this game doesn't really have the best story. The story basically goes like this: king Arthur has been corrupted and a young wizard named Melina (obvious reference to Merlin in the stories, who ironically enough happens to be her grandfather) is fleeing from him. When the black knight / king finally captures her, Melina summons Sonic who was eating chilly dogs in the meantime, which actually makes that part of the cut scene really funny. Sonic defeats the enemies who surrounded him and Melina without breaking a sweat and then Marline escapes with Sonic and tells him he needs the help of a sacred sword in order to defeat the fallen king. He also has to defeat the 3 knights of the round table before he can defeat the king. There is also a plot twist after the king is defeated which i won't spoil, but since I've already told that the knights of the round table are unlock able characters, you can probably already guess that they have to team up with Sonic. That was a quick summary of the story and while it's not the strongest point of the game, it's not necessarily bad either. Like with Final Fantasy 7 (look that review up if you haven't already), I consider the story to be just ok. Depth: 8 If you played out the main game, there is still plenty of stuff you can do if you want to. I have already mentioned the missions and the extra weapons and equipment you can unlock, but there's more to talk about. The game has an item system that allows you to pick from a set of unknown items. How many items you can pick depends on how many points you've obtained. You can collect a lot of items to fill an entire gallery. Not all these items have a true purpose besides that, but there are some funny ones such as a chilly dog and a mask that referenced Big the cat. You can also just try to unlock flags, voice tracks, music and trivia about the Sonic characters, their knight counterparts and even about the real legend of Arthur. Trust me when I say that doing all of that can take quite a long time. Difficulty: 5 Keep in mind that I am only counting completing the main story here, since 100% completing the game takes forever. I've already said that the game is not very hard. This is mainly because the levels themselves don't have a lot of obstacles (aside from enemies). The bosses, with the exception of the second Lancelot battle, are pretty easy too.But honestly, I don't really care. I love playing through it so much that I barely notice how easy the game actually is. Sonic and the black knight is my favorite sonic game on the WII (yes fan boys, more so than Sonic colours), as well as 1 of my favorite Sonic games ever (right up there with Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Generations), as well as 1 of my favorite games in general. This game is overall a great experience with a few flaws, but these are just minor things. Black Knight is a very underrated game which in my opinion definitely deserves a 9.6 out of 10. Sega, keep up the good work. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Graphics: 9 This game looks really good. Hey guys, Theironhide here and I'm going to review the original Sonic the hedgehog for the Sega Genesis. If you guys know even a little about me, then you should know that I'm a huge fan of the Sonic the hedgehog series. Even thought I do like the 3D games more, I still get enjoyment out of the 2D games as well. This game was the begin of the epicness that we know Sonic for today and is often seen as 1 of his best games. I personally disagree on this being the best, but that doesn't say I hate it. Well with all of that said, lets begin. Graphics: 8 To be honest, this game is far from the best what the Genesis has to offer graphic wise. But that can be excused since it was the first game on the system. The levels are very well designed graphic wise. From the bright and colourful Green Hill, to the dark and industrial horror that is Scrap Brain. Sonic looks good for the time as well, with so many different animations for his sprite.Overall, the game setted up a nice standard for later Genesis games and the later SNES. Sound: 8 It really saddens me that I can't rate the sound higher. I love Sonic music as much as many other fans and sometimes even haters do. And the sound effects work too, but the game lacks the truly great tracks. To be honest the only tracks I liked in this game (level themes) were Green Hill, Marble and Labyrinth. The others 3 didn't quite appeal to me. I don't care about the Starlight and Scrap Brain themes at all, and the Spring Yard theme is just so boring. Even though I really like the boss theme and the final boss theme is ok. Addictiveness: 8 Like I said before, I disagree on this being the best Sonic game, but I do like it game play wise. I like how fast phased the game is (especially in Green Hill and Starlight), and I also like the special stages (even thought they could be frustrating as times). The game does have some flaws. Spring Yard was pretty boring in my opinion, and I doubt that I even need to talk about Labyrinth (painful childhood memories anyone? lol). Also, most of the bosses were pathetically easy. The only boss that gave me trouble was the Labyrinth boss, and you don't even need to kill Eggman (or Robotnik as he was called at the time, but I grew up with his Eggman name so I just name him Eggman) in order to win. Story: 4 Like the Mega man games (the platformers I reviewed I mean, check those out if you're done with this by the way), the story of this game isn't very original. It's the basic for a 2D Sonic: Eggman tries to take over the world by using kidnapped animals to power his robots and Sonic has to stop him. It isn't the most creative story out there, but It doesn't matter since nobody plays these games for the story. Depth: 6 Lets be honest, there isn't much left to do with this game after playing it out besides from replaying it. Sure, you could play out special stages to unlock the good ending, but it's not much different from the bad ending. It isn't something like the second game were you unlock the super form by it. Difficulty: 7 Similarly to Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo (check my review of that game by the way), you should be fine if you know how to play the games. However, it will most likely get you of guard if you're not careful. You may think this game is just basic running and jumping, but it's harder then you might think at first glance. Overall, this game is a very solid start to a great video game series. This game isn't my favorite game in the series, but it's still fun to play (even thought, I don't play it on vizzed anymore now that I have the collection game on my DS).I give it an 8.1 . This has been Theironhide, and Super Mario World can suck it compared to this game (DON'T FEEL OFFENDED, THAT LAST STATEMENT WAS JUST AN OPINION) If you guys know even a little about me, then you should know that I'm a huge fan of the Sonic the hedgehog series. Hey everyone. It's been a while since my last review, so I decided to do a review about the second game I played in a series that quickly became one of my favorite video game series of all time: fire emblem. The first game in the series I played was fire emblem 7 which was less than a year ago, and this game came after it very soon (in order of when I played them). Since this game is basically 2 games in 1 (and since I haven't played out book 2 yet), I'm only going to talk (or write in this case) about the first half of the game and I might do the second half later. For those of you who didn't know the first half of the game is a remake of the first game with Graphics: 8 This game looks pretty good for on the SNES (or Super Famicom since it was only sold in Japan). I know it might not look as good as some other titles for the system like Star fox or F-Zero, but it's still lives up to some other games for the time. It might look kinda blocky, but this is the Super Nintendo / Famicom we're talking about. Some characters are redesigned a bit (like Marth actually wielding pants here for example) and it's usually for the better. In fact, they made an anime with designs based of this game. Long story short: not the best sprites for the SNES / Super Famicom, but still pretty nice for their time. Sound: 8 Being honest, this game does a good job with sound effects. I mean every time someone attacks, you can acuarly hear the weapons hit the flesh of units. Once again it's not the best for the SNES ? Super Famicom, but that improved with later games. The music is also remixed pretty decently. I really liked some themes in this game. Remember the Fire Emblem theme from Smash Bros Melee? Well, that was basically a combination between the recruitment theme and the main theme of this game. Speaking of which, the recruitment theme of this game is really cool. I honestly prefer the music and sound of Shadow Dragon, but that's comparing the SNES / Super Famicom to the DS. Addictiveness: 8 Like I've said before, Fire Emblem quickly became one of my favorite video game series of all time. I haven't played the original NES / Famicom game, but even I can tell this version is a lot better. So why is this better (besides the better graphics)? Well first of, they gave you the ability to see how far each unit could move on the map. This saves you the trouble of looking at the mobility stat and count how far each unit can move exactly. Just press a simple button, and you can see how far each unit can move. An other introduction is the ability to dismount from horses, pegasi or dragons, which can be used strategically. You can also see your weapon's stats, even before you bought them. This was impossible in the first game. And last but not least: the support function. This function increases the stats of units if they're close to other ones, but it's only possible for lovers and good friends (most of them are pretty easy to figure out thought). So the game has some really fun features. Story: 9 Fire Emblem is by far Nintendo's most story driven series of games. The story goes like this: The evil Mediuth, dragon of darkness, allied himself with a sorcerer by the name of Garnef. Together the two took over the Arkanian continent. Eventually they reach Arithia, where Marth lives, and try taking it over. Thought Arithia fought back, they were betrayed by their ally and neighbor Gra.The father of the main protagonist (Marth) gets killed, Falchion (the divine sword which only people in Marth's bloodline can use)gets stolen and his sister sacrifices herself in order to save Marth. So two years past and Marth hides in Talys, which later on gets attacked by pirates. So Marth and the Arithian knights fight them and after that decide to fight for freedom of the entire Arkanian continent. So slow but sure Marth and his allies free the Arkanian continent, retrieve Falchion from Garnef, and slay Mediuth. It's a pretty simple story for today standards, but was very complicated for the time, But I still question: who killed Marth's father? (since sometimes they tell general Joil from Gra did this, but at other points they tell Garnev did this). However, I also really like some of the characters. Marth is a really deep and likable protagonist to me. Sure there are better developed RPG protagonists out there, but remember: it was on the NES / Famicom (the freaking Nes / Famicom for crying out loud). Most of you will probably recognise Marth from the Super Smash Bros games. Marth honestly doesn't have a lot of dialogue in the first few chapters, but you start to understand him as a character later. For me, he's probably 1 of my favorite protagonists in gaming. To me he deserves to be in Smash Bros ,and I doubt they will ever get rid off him unless they somehow stop representing Fire Emblem (eat your heart out Lucina). I wish I could say more, but I don't want to spoil things this time so yeah next category. Depth: 6 Depth is probably the weakest point of this game (remember, I only count the first half of the game here). There really isn't too much depth in the game. You basically play trough a lever (or chapter in this case), beat a boss and go on to the next level / chapter. It basically repeats that way until you face the last chapter. Doesn't really help that 5 levels from the first game were removed either. Thought, you should still be able to spend a couple of hours at this game. Difficulty: 7 If you're new to Fire Emblem you should play another game first, because this game would be too hard for a newcomer. I played Fire Emblem 7 before this so I wasn't bothered by it too much, but a newcomer should play another game first because this game doesn't give you explanation even if you're new to the series. For newcomers: leave this one for later. Final score: While Monshou no nazo as a remake is easily inferior to Shadow Dragon, I still found a lot of enjoyment out of it. So I give this remake an 8 out of 10 Graphics: 8 This game looks pretty good for on the SNES (or Super Famicom since it was only sold in Japan). people i'm afraid i can't go on making pokemon iron as an emerald hack anymore. i don't know how to fix most of the glitches (especially the treeco glitch) and the nameless sprite editor doesn't support most of the game anymore because of how much it glitches in this game. so because of tis i think i need to go on on fire red. this will make me able to add more gen 4 and 5 pokemon and even change trainer sprites (unlike in emerald) so from this moment on, i won't make it an emerald hack anymore. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hello everyone, theironhide here I'm here to talk about my first hack and what I'm going to do with it. In this part, I'm going to talk about Gen 4 and 5 Pokémon I'm adding to the game. As you might know, the first beta of this hack has no Gen 4 or 5 Pokémon. You may wonder why, its just because i had no tools to edit any of the Pokémon in any other aspect than sprites. But now that i have the yape tool, i am able to do this. So I'm going to ad Pokémon from Gen 4 and 5 to this hack, but i don't know which ones yet. So that's why i made this thread, i want you to request Pokémon from Gen 4 and 5 to get in my hack. But obviously there are rules. First of: i only have space to edit 107 sprites because the nse glitch ed, so I'm adding a limited edition of them, second: I'm not replacing Pokémon that have pre-evolutions in Gen 2 or 3, and finally, you can't request galventula, lucario and their pre-evolutions because these are already added. So yeah, please request one of your favorites and he might even get in ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm here to talk about my first hack and what I'm going to do with it. Ok its time to review another PlayStation game. This time its mega man x4. Mega man x4 was the first mega man game that was not released on a Nintendo console (remakes and collections do not count) and is the second mega man game for me to review. So after I'm done with this review, i can keep my PlayStation item. We all know how those reviews go. So do i like this game or not? We will see it now. graphics: 7 remember my mega man 8 review in which i said the graphics looked like they could have been done on the Sega cd? Well this game has pretty much the same story. Don't get me wrong i still like the graphics, but it does not seem like there is putted much effort in it if it looks like it could have been done on a console released 3 years before the PlayStation. So that is why i rate the graphics so low sound: 8 again, similar to mega man 8. I like the music, but it is not extremely memorable. The sound effects are pretty good. And unlike in mega man 8, the characters talk in the cut scenes (and i do not mean something like the stupid voices in mega man 8 for robot masters and pointless information). So yeah i rate an 8 out of 10 addictiveness: 9 i hear people complain the x games to be the same with every title. To which i react: does that even matter, at least it is done well (i am looking at you new super Mario bros wii). I can not really judge that copy paste stuff since this is the only x game i have played (except for x 1), but game play wise this is a very addictive game. It is not really my favorite 2d platformer overall as well as game play wise (that would be sonic & knuckles (because of that stupid barrel in sonic 3)), but i still like the game play and i will play it again. story: 3 you know what is coming in the story of a mega man x game. At first a cetairn villain (or in this case 2 villains) in this game the general and the colonel who are the leaders of repliforce seem to be the main villains. But later on, a plot twist happens and sigma is the main villain. The main reason i rate it lower than mega man 8 is because wily is the main villain in the classic series and there are no plot twists to change that. But with sigma there is a plot twist in every single x game so that is why i rate 3 out of 10 depth: 6 just beat the mavericks, beat later extra parts, we know how that goes with mega man x difficulty: 9 the difficulty (just like in mega man 8) is insane. The mavericks deal lots of damage while you barely damage them (especially with the x buster or z saber), the stages are unpredictable as hell and are filled with annoying enemies. I litterly haven't beaten any maverick other than that stupid spider (which i like to call spider man) and even that was a frustrating boss. So this game is overall (like other mega man games i have played) a frustratingly hard game overall mega man x 4 is an enjoyable game, but i am still not a huge mega man fan. This game is mainly for the fans. So i give it an 8.1: its fun for the fans, but way too hard for my skills graphics: 7 remember my mega man 8 review in which i said the graphics looked like they could have been done on the Sega cd?
