So there is a black square in the upper left corner of the gameplay screen.. is this supposed to be there? And wtf are the controls ?

dragonmel : Search lukyhawk on YouTube and view his channel. Go to his uploads and you'll find his Ruby Destiny walkthrough videos. They're a bit annoying since he doesn't use repels but it's very helpful. He abandoned the walkthrough before he finishes the full game but he covers a decent chunk of the game. Hope this helps!

The hm fly is found near the weather institute. You need to explore the area and as you progress, you will run into your rival/neighbour. After battling him/her they will give you hm fly. The weather institute is located near the 6th gym.
In the video you see the main character jump onto land off his surfing Pokemon by a trainer with yellow hair and red clothing. There is grass patches scattered around. This is almost before he gets to the gym area. Stay on this land instead of surfing to the gym. Explore the area until you find the weather institute. From there you will have already run into your rival or will run into them as you continue. I hope I've helped!

mattydimm : I'm not sure about cheating with the PC emulator, but I'm playing Pokemon Ruby Destiny on the gameboid emulator on my android phone, and you can use cheats. At first I couldn't get them to work, and when I Googled for a solution, nothing came up. What you need to do is just find the correct codes. Some don't work, but just be sure to enter the correct mastercode for Pokemon Ruby, then the correct cheat codes that use that mastercode. When entering a cheat, it will show up as different codes and not just one. It will still work. Just paste the code, and press the enter key between where the code is spaced. Don't use too many codes at once because it will freeze. If this isn't a clear description, I will explain it once more.

Find the correct mastercode. There are different ones for different purposes (I.e altering wild Pokemon, items, etc).
You just need to search for Pokemon ruby codes. They will work for the Destiny hack.

When copying a code into the emulator, it will automatically break it into seperste codes instead of one long one. That's okay. It will still work. Upon entering however, I find it works if you press the enter key where the code is split up before entering. (I.e *12351 12342*) press the enter key to drop the second or however many other parts of the code, to a new line. Do this to the full code, where every space is, press enter (make sure you erase the space replace the space with pressing enter). Then press okay to enter the code. It will still make it appear as seperate codes, but it will now work.

Keep the full mastercode boxes check off, then enter your code you wish to use and do the same as you did for the master code. Keep the cheat code that's you wish to use boxes checked off as well. Only use one cheat at a time checked off. So that's the master code boxes and the ones cheat you wanna use boxes checked. The cheat should work. Unchecked the codes when you're done or wish to use another cheat.

Some cheats require you to veiw your trainer card or something else to activate, but that hasn't been a problem for me.

Sometimes it will not work right away so you need to save and close the rom and restart and load it. It will now work. Some sites I found working cheats, and some I had to look elsewhere. Inbox me if you'd like a list of working cheats.

Benner86 : Follow lukyhawks walkthrough on YouTube. Search his channel "lukyhawk" and go to his ruby destiny walkthrough videos. He shows you where to go and find to old man. He didn't finish the full walkthrough of the game but he does cover a decent chunk it.

As for people looking for hm dive:

Go back to the area where the Safari Zone is. If you've beaten the Darkness group at Mt. Pyre already, the area south from the cave that the Ranger was blocking is no longer blocked. He will now let you pass through to the next city. Beat the gym leader to allow you to use hm dive. Then go to the left woods portal and head left until you reach a cabin. Enter, and you will find Ash. He will give you hm dive. Feel free to enter the cave outside, although there is just a trainer and a troubled Krona telling you she cannot continue through the cave because a Pokemon is blocking the way. Continue through and it will teleport you outside again once you try to approach it. Then head back to the city. There will be another woods portal on the right. However it is just Ash who then leaves again. I'm not sure if you're supposed to go there yet or if that's supposed to be later in the game. Anyways, go back to the Safari zone and head east using surf. You'll eventually find the correct spot to use dive. Your welcome.

To obtain hm dive, you travel to the city below mt. Pyre, after beating the task there. You continue to the left woods portal and make your way to the cabin (far left). Inside you will find ash and he will give you hm dive. You then go back to the town and beat
the gym so you can use hm dive. If you don't know where mt.pyre is, it is in the area where the safari zone is. Head south from the safari zone and you will find the town I'm s
