I started noticing that when I played the Game & watch gallery games, they would not show up on my collection page afterward. The same thing happened with mario tennis.

I have the most recent RGR plugin

[Hopefully, this is in the right board]

Hello y'all! I'm what you might call a amateur flash animator. I've animated a few Fatality concepts form Mortal Kombat, which can be seen on my deviant art page here, but I want to do something more.

Which brings me to my universe idea, Project M.A.N. It's actually a fan universe based around my online persona, LostTman1093, you can read more about here in the official thread.

ANYWAY, though I can animate, I can't sprite to save my life, you can see that also in the project man thread, I made all those edits.

Long story short, I would like to ask, if there are any spriters on this board, if they would be willing to help me on this project or at least give me pointers on how to become a better spriter myself.

Till next time true believers!

Disclaimer: I LOVE the Fire Pro Games. The two GBA titles are awesome and Fire Pro Returns is amazing,  but this one is kind MEH.

I really enjoy the deep game play of the fire pro games, but this one has me dumbfounded.

I can perform grapples and everything just fine in the GBA and FPR, but in this one I can't do anything. The timing seems very off and the ruthless A.I. Does not help matters. I can barley get one weak strike in before a lock up, and, even if I time it right, my weak grapples do nothing and I get my butt owned.

I really want to enjoy this game, but as if now, I'll stick with the GBA and FPR.

Granted, but when you receive it, it is broken and you can't get it fixed because all replaceable parts for it have spontaneously combusted.

I wish that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo could all play nice and we have a single super console.

I actually had two consoles growing up, the SNES and PS2.

My brother had an N64 ( I would sometimes sneak in his room and play it) but I never played it that often. The first game I remember playing on the SNES was Super Mario World and on the PS2 it was Spider-man and 007: Agent Under Fire.

I actually played the spider-man game so much that the disc stopped working, can't say the same for 007 :p

What's up Vizzed? Long time no see!

I've been rather busy with college, work, and dating life, I won't bore you with the details.

I originally just made the fan character, but it's grown much bigger than that, I wanted to make a world for this character, this is what I've come up with so far.

As my writing (and spiriting!) skills improve this will just get better and better.

I will post everything I do to build this world here, and keep this post updated as I continue to work on it and my fan character.

UNIVERSE BACK-STORY:

Project M.A.N. BioProject M.achine A.ssualt N.anotech was designed to be the ultimate in weaponized cyborgs.

Funded by Hybrid Fury Studios, for their advances in cyborg technology,
Project M.A.N. Was created to take advantage of those studies.

Combined with this project's studies into the paranormal and psychosis control of matter,
Hybrid Fury's cyborgs have reached well beyond their initial capabilities, and their potential.

The project was developed for a phase project basis.
Starting with project A. Assault.

Project A was designed as purely assault based, no psychosis or paranormal aspects, using every form of assault based warfare, hand-to-hand and weapon.
Project A was an overwhelming success, which led to Project M.A.N being fully funded.

Through the many phases, some had better results than others.
Project P, both phases A and B, proved to be out of control and unfruitful.

The current development is Project T. Currently on revision 93.
Project T incorporates everything from the previous projects, minus failures from Project P, into it.
Making Protect T the ultimate weapon.

Character Himself:

Fan Character Inspiration used the "LostTman1093" moniker since 2010. I've always wanted to do a fan character based on it.
But I've always sucked at making my own sprites, so I never had motivation to work on it.

I've had a recent surge in creativity and decided to start a back-story for this character.

Then I decided to give the sprite aspect of it a go, and here are the fruits of my labor and my first attempt at frankenspriting.

I used multiple characters from the Neo Geo pocket fighting games as parts for him, the rest I edited.

I think he turned out rather well.

Adjustments proved successful, but still wary.
When asking subject questions to answer from non-suppressed knowledge, results as expected.
When asking subject questions to answer suppressed knowledge, results were mostly as expected except in warfare and combat categories.
Subject has shown incredible interest in warfare, martial arts, sword combat, and psychosis warfare.
Psychosis warfare seems to be left over from the second phase of Subject P.
Subject did not seem to be to fond of weapons and weapon warfare, seems aspects from Subject W were repressed.
Ran physical trails again, subject set new records in all categories.
Ran weapon trails, subject preformed well but results were far below Subject W.

Neo Geo PocketStance:

I'm always annoyed by old fighting games because when the fighter turns they just mirror the sprite. This isn't a big problem in most games but in games such as UMK3 when unmasked sub-zero would turn, his scar would change eyes.....really?

As you may have noticed, my character also has a scar, so when he would turn, the scar would appear on his other eye as well. I wanted a legit reason why it would. So, I decided to make the scar artificial something the character himself chooses to have appear on his face, a digital scar.

When He turns the on board sensors that control the look of his face (located in the mask) scan the visible part of his face and place the scar there. I think it's kind a cool

I copied the basic stance myself and the rest is custom. I know the head is a bit wonky, I'll work on it.

Sup! I haven't been active lately because I've been busy with school. Never take 18 credit hours....
Anyway! I wanted to share this "editorial" I posted on my [name of social networking site withheld do to copyright claim] a while back, hope you enjoy it!

I'm not going to review every individual movie in both franchises just give my thoughts on the crossover film not including it's sequel.

MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN ANY OF THE MOVIES DISCUSSED.

I go all out for these folks, no holds barred. I'm awesome like that.

EXPERIENCE WITH FRANCHISE:
?I'm a huge fan of the Alien franchise....most of it. Alien and Aliens are some of the best sci-fi movies ever made and two of my favorite sci-fi movies.
???
Alien 3, depends on what version you're talking about. The original/theatrical cut of Alien 3 is a horrid mess of sci-fi story-telling and only worth watching to compare it to the superior cut. The Assembly cut or in common vernacular, the director's cut of Alien 3 is far better than the regular version and a good watch but not anything special when compared to the first two, at least it moves the story forward.
Alien Resurrection is, excuse my French, utter s***. It is poorly written, directed, and executed. The movie does nothing to move the story forward, the plot is a jumbled mess and plays out like a SyFy channel movie, the ending is ludicrous, and overall it just doesn't feel like an aliens movie. I will say the acting by Winona Ryder, Sigourney Weaver, and Ron Perlman is superb and is really the only entertaining part of the movie.

???My experience with the Predator franchise is a bit jaded, I'm not a huge fan, but I know enough about the mythos from the movies and comics to have a, what I would say, valid opinion. I have seen parts of Predator 2, from what I saw I liked, Predators, a great suspense movie, and of course the Schwarzenegger classic. Skimmed a few predator solo comics and read a decent amount of AVP comics. I enjoy the predator mythos, just not as much as the Alien mythos, my bias on whose side I root for showing yet?

THE BLOOD/OOZE ACID COATED MEAT AND POTATOES:

???Now onto my main focus, AVP. More specifically the first film adaption AVP: Alien vs Predator. I want to make it it clear, I actually enjoyed the movie. I'll Admit, it's not that good of a movie from a fans viewpoint, but as a movie it is a fun watch for general sci-fi fans. Nothing mind-boggling but decent popcorn entertainment. From a fan's perspective, this movie is a taint on not only the mythos but of respect to both respective franchises.

???There are good things about the movie that maybe with a bit more expanding could make for a decent remake, but the damage was done, the movie just has too many faults to be considered part of either of these franchises.
I will tackle this film in three parts, the good, the ugly, and the How it could be fixed.

???1. The White-Knuckle, Heart-Wrenching (too far?) Good:
???The overall CONCEPT of the story is actually really intriguing. The Predators helping ancient civilizations (the Aztecs are the race in the film) build their pyramids as temples to the Predators as their gods. Aliens being the ritual right-of-passage hunt for the youngblood predators to become true predators. The dynamics between the two alien races is all really interesting and if executed well would make for a cool film, but as done in AVP....not so much. Acting is good, for the most part. The lead, Alexa "Lex", is a really strong, independent female lead. This is actually a good thing, as it is a tribute to Ellen Ripley in the Alien movies. Mr. Weylaid as a good presence, you really don't trust him, which is good because his company causes major problems for the crews in the alien franchise....in a couple decades, I'm getting to that. The suit work by the actors for the races is awesome. Stunts of this caliber is well done for guys in rubber suits, I'm glad the director chose the practical effect route instead of all CGI, it gives the film a gritty realistic feeling. The actors who play the crew leaves a lot to be desired, granted they all die in the end but it leaves you feeling like you should've cared more about them, but you don't.

???Special effects are well-done. All the parts of the Predator armor work as the should and look cool, the alien costumes are convincing, and the blood effect are nice. Some of the predator stuff could be worked on though, the cloaking effect is really, really bad. For the most part the effects do a good job of immersing you into the world of the film. The Queen Alien is just as badass as ever, though her death was kinda stupid. Overall, it's a decent film romp with good acting and effects, but that only carries a sci-fi movie so far. The core of the film, the fact that it's both an alien and predator film, is so far removed from the other films that it hurts the movie well beyond the fact that it's watchable. AVP dismisses and just out right ignores key aspects of both franchise's lore and passions that it is downright infuriating to fans of both

?????2. The Alien/Human Hybrid (seriously, WTF?!?!) From Alien Resurrection Ugly:
???Now for what makes AVP: Alien vs Predator a bad, I mean REALLY bad, movie. It's total disrespect to the lore and spirit of the two franchises it crossover, that's not even going into the comic book it's adapting. First off the rating, PG-13. PG-13 are you kidding me?!? All of the previous movies, including the recently released Prometheus, are all rated R. These are adult R-rated sci-fi horror films and you make their big debut movie together PG-13? I'm not saying that makes the movie bad, I'm just saying it hurts the film in more ways then just trying to broaden the audience. You've taking two franchise made for adults who watch horror movies and made a movie that teenagers can watch. There is an unrated version that adds in horrible CGI blood splatter but that's not the issue. The issue is that the director KNEW he was making a PG-13 movie and intended it to be PG-13. From the documentary on the making of the film and from other fan sources that have interviews with the director, the director is a fan of both Alien and Predator. So, He obviously knew that these are R-rated franchises with avid fans of each who were expecting something on the same level as the other films, which He knew he wasn't making. Sources state that during production, when asked about the rating of the movie, the director was pretty hush-hush. Making the movie PG-13 is disrespectful to not only the two series but also to the fans more than anything. It is not the movie's fault, just bad decisions by the crew working on the film.

?Secondly, continuity. I'm going to ignore the fact that Prometheus says that the Weyland-Yutani corporation was founded in 2012 as this movie was made before Prometheus and had no way of knowing that Ridley Scott would reboot his own continuity. I will instead focus in the continuity already established in the franchises prior to AVP. AVP takes place in 2004 not a big problem when dealing with the Predator canon as both Predator movies took place in the 80's, the problem comes when the Alien canon comes into play. The first Alien movie takes place in 2122, and Ripley is on a mining ship that traces a distress signal to a crashed ship on a unknown planet, then in Aliens which takes place in 2179, we find out that Weyland-Yutani is wanting to capture the Xenomorphs (Alien) and use them as biological weapons and Weyland-Yutani did not know about the xenomorphs until Ripley's little encounter. Unless you go by AVP in which Weyland-Yutani knew about the xenomorphs in 2004 because the predators had been hunting them on earth for centuries. This creates huge plot wholes in the Alien continuity. If Weyland-Yutani knew about the Aliens way before the Nostromo (the ship in Alien) catastrophe, why didn't they try to find them earlier? Maybe the technology wasn't there yet or whatever but then how come they say Ripley is crazy and take away her space license when she talks about her experience with the Alien? It just doesn't add up. There are many more continuity errors but if I listed them all we would be here all day, so I'm not going to waste your time (even more than I already have, see I'm nice).

???3. How to Fix the Movie's Problems and Actually Make it Good ?(in terms of series lore):

CONTINUITY:

???Keep all the stuff with the Aztecs (or any other ancient civilizations for that matter) and the Predators, that's actually really good and taken from the comics. But change the stuff that interferes with the Alien series canon. Make it fit better, use the official timeline established by Prometheus and comics. Have Mr. Weyland play an integral part in the story, His company plays a key role in the Alien series give Him some impact in the Predator mythos as well.

???Use different species from both alien races. The Aliens are xenomorphs, they take on attributes from their host, use these as more variety for the Predators to kill. Take some from more than those shown in the movies (but please, PLEASE for the love of all that is decent in sci-fi. STAY AWAY FROM THE HYBRID FROM RESERECTION) but take also from the comics and games. Aliens can take on many forms, use them. Same for the Predators. The games and comics shows different classes of Predators, have them be part of the hunt and those elites from Predators (the movie)? Yeah, bring those back.

???Lastly, make the humans important. I know the whole premise is to see these two races fight, but the humans need to be important to the overall story. Have a strong lead, they don't necessarily have to be female, but they have to likable and actually make us think the humans have a chance against the alien races. Use weapons from both franchises, I doubt a small band of Predators could stand up to a company of Colonial Marines with smart-guns.

STAY TRUE TO THE SPIRIT OF THE ORIGINAL FILMS:

???To truly be part of the overall series AVP needs to be rated-R. It will allow for it to be better fitted into both franchises. Make sure that the established mythos is at the forefront. Expand upon ideas already in both of the series, do not add and do not take away from either, what's there is already good enough, if it aint broke don't fix it. The feel of the original movies needs to be there, Alien 1 and Predator 1 played more like survival/slasher movies with a sci-fi horror feel, keep that. Both of the alien races need to be feared. These creatures are much more vicious than our own; they are not to be jacked-around with. THEY WILL KILL YOU. They need to have that air about them, which would make for a really good survival movie.

Ending Transmission....(In Conclusion):

I hope you found this long (like really long and boring man, seriously) post enjoyable, I doubt anyone really cares about my opinion on a very small sci-fi franchise, but I'm a nerd and I love this stuff . These are just my simple thoughts and I hope you all found this interesting.
Though I've pointed out all the flaws with this movie at least it's better than....

TO BE CONTINED? (Probably not.....)

Hey, long time no see eh?

I've been busy with college and what not, won't bore you with the details.

ANYWAY, I'm here to offer my thoughts on DmC: Devil May Cry. I just recently played through and beat the game and thought I'd offer my honest thoughts.

I'd like to preface by saying I am a DMC fan...well of 1-3 at least, 4 just didn't do it for me.

Characters :

Dante : First off, Dante's new look has grown on me. I hated it at first, but I got used to it. Moving on. His characterization in the first half of the game is completely unlikable and his personality is unbearable, but in the later half of the game he gets his s*** straight and actually becomes somewhat likable....somewhat. No, he's not like the classic Dante, nor is he intended to be. This characterization has potential, now if Ninja Theory capitalizes on that potential is yet to be seen,

Kat : I actually liked this character a lot. No, she's not Trish, hell, she's not even Lady, but that's why I like her. She's her own entity and I can respect that. Also, she actually HELPS Dante in the game, something that most side characters nowadays barely do. She IS the the love interest for Dante...it only fails because the writing is sub par in this regard. But for the most part she is very likable.

Mundus : The main antagonist. He's okay. I never really felt like he was a huge threat. He basically controlled the world and you had to stop him. Oh, and He's a demon. I guess that's bad.

Endgame Spoiler :

Spoiler:

virgil : My favorite character in this game. I REALLY liked the characterization here. NT really excelled with this character. When you first meet him he  is calm and says he wants to save humanity, then out of the blue does an incredibly cruel act by killing Lilith and Mundus' unborn (unbirthed?) child. Then He just stays cool and collected till the very end, then you find out his true motive. He did it to rule humanity. He wanted to kill Mundus so he could take his place and rule humanity or "free" them has he puts it. It's an unbelievably well done plot twist that NT pulled off masterfully. Although in hindsight, I could see it coming since I've played DMC3 to death

Overall, The characters are radically different, but if you go in with an open mind you can look past the stranger parts.

Story

Yes, this game has VERY political/ anti-conservative/anti-fox news undertones, that may turn off a few. I for one didn't mind it, I actually found the media's corruption of society actually really interesting, unoriginal, but interesting. The story drags a bit in the middle, but picks up towards the end. Overall I found the story enjoyable albeit even with the weird characterizations of the main cast.

Spoiler:
The Bill O'Reily spoof character in the game I found hilarious, His boss fight is pretty cool as well. Oh, and He's a demon, nice.

Gameplay

I enjoyed it very much. The whole 30fps controversy is just plain stupid...it doesn't hurt the game at all, if it does it's very insignificant. Yes, it's dumbed down from previous games to make it more accessible and yes it's very easy to achieve an S, SS, or SSS rank without much difficulty, but the combo system is great, This game has the best combing system I've seen in a long while. The amount of variety in chaining hits is almost endless. Plus, it makes you feel like a badass and isn't that the most important thing?

Spoiler:
The devil trigger SUCKS. Instead of turning into an awesome devil-thingy like previous DMCs, Dante just gains white hair and a red coat...poor taste Ninja Theory. Also, it suspends the enemies in midair and allows you to wale on them with airel combos, I used it twice in regular gameplay, and that was just to refill my health. It's only useful in the last boss fight, as you need it to deal the final blow. It also last for like 4 seconds. Not even kidding.

Lasting appeal :

The default difficulties are unlocked from the start with Son of Sparda, Dante must Die, Heaven or Hell, and even Hell and Hell being unlocked after beating the game on higher difficulties. Meaning, you'll be replaying the story frequently.

There is DLC, another story chapter and a costume pack that includes classic Dante.

Overall, You'll replay the game time after time. Oh, and achievements and Trophies are plentiful. If your into that sorta thing.....

I really liked this game, blacksheep of the franchise for sure, but don't let all the hate and fan backlash detract from an overall stellar game. At least give it a rental.

Oh a rating? I don't rate games in my reviews, I just let the review speak for itself.

Peace.

P.S. The name is really, really stupid....DmC: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry: Devil May Cry....really? Also, the wig joke in the opening level? Poor taste Ninja Theory, poor taste.

Being the CEO of a fire extinguisher company, I tell all my US plants (and two in Japan) to mass produce fire extinguishers to the point that it triples the population of china. Then have all my line workers protect me as I overthrow you. Thus, preventing you from burning me at the stake.

As the new dictator, I decree that all hay be shipped in tightly-packed bales. Any wagon load of loose hay attempting to pass through a checkpoint will be set on fire.

Redrunelord :
(Could we add some sort of purpose of continuous path to this game? Like say have us respond to a previous person's goal or have us devise a situation based on the previous one?)

Yes, Let's make it to where you must find some way to object to the previous poster's goal. Then that objection would overthrow their dictatorship and then play resumes as normal.

I will update the first post with this new rule.

Example (and to continue the game):

I rally the common citizens and burn becerra95's shrine. ( becerra95 is now overthrown). Now That I'm an evil dictator, all women from the ages of 30 to 65 MUST remain in the kitchen at all times and make me ham & cheese sandwiches every hour on the hour.

Alternate Costumes:

I want to know if this is true.

Here's where I fond the hint:  http://cheatcodes.com/spider-man-2-ps2-cheats/

Here is the actual hint:

Alternate Costumes

Locate all Secret and Skyscraper Tokens.
Look for the Costumes store in the Garment District.
This store is ONLY accessible between the game hours of 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
The game clock can be located near the FC area on a building that does NOT face the water.

Alternate costumes include
symbiote suit,
Peter Parker,
Wrestling suit,
Alex Ross suit,
Alternate prototype Spider-Man suit from 1st movie (Power Rangers),
Ben Reilly,
Scarlet Spider,
Battle Ravaged Spider-Man,
Unmasked Spider-Man.

As you can see the process seems really tedious and drawn out for it to be true. I just want to know if anybody has any proof of this, I love this game, but I don't wanna go through all that trouble just to find out this is fake.

The Lizard:

I also want to know if this is true
site for hint:http://cheatcodes.com/spider-man-2-ps2-cheats/

Actual Hint: Beat Battle Arena (once you complete story mode).
Look for the open manhole cover near the pizza parlor.
This will be accessible only at night between the game hours of midnight and 3:00 AM.

Seems kinda if-y to me BUT I think G4 made a flub

*taken from G4's game description*
Spidey is back!.... Not only will you battle Doc Ock high up in the Manhattan skyline, but you will also face other Marvel villains Mysterio and Lizard. The virtual environments are also more life-like this time around....

and the Lizard was in a pre-rendered scene at the end of the reveal trailer for the game:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FX8oB68O1ms

SOOOO....etheir the Lizard was in the game but taken out for possible film appearance or he's still in the game and the above rumor is true. I think it's the former.

Also in Round 4 of Shocker's Fight Arena, you fight.....these.

I honestly think the Original Trilogy is overrated. They are great films but not the perfection fans make them out to be. 4 is clichéd, the only thing 5 had was the twist and saber fight, and the only thing 6 had was the saber fight. I enjoy and prefer the OT BUT I'm tired of all the hatred of the PT.

Yes, the PT suffers from poor acting. But that's the only real issues I see in them. The saber fights are amazing, the CGI is great, and the story of Anakin's fall is really done well. I agree the OT is better but it's majorly overrated. I do feel Lucas could've chosen a better actor for anakin though, the way Haden acts is just to bland for me to get invested in the character.

You think of something really stupid (such as banning shoe lases....wait.....)

then put "If I were an Evil Dictator....." in front of it.

Hint: The stupider reason the better

New Overthrow rule:

To add a little spice to the continuation of this game, you must now overthrow the previous dictator. To do this you must find some way to object to the previous poster's goal. Then that objection would overthrow their dictatorship and then play resumes as normal.

Example:

I rally the common citizens and burn becerra95's shrine. ( becerra95 is now overthrown). Now That I'm an evil dictator, all women from the ages of 30 to 65 MUST remain in the kitchen at all times and make me ham & cheese sandwiches every hour on the hour.

If I were an Evil Dictator, Mac & Cheese would be the U.S. National symbol.

AuraBlaze : "Any sit-com produced by Dan Schneider is bound to be good."

My sentiments exactly. But some people may find VICTORiOUS a little to kiddie for an 18 year old to enjoy, plus Ariana Grande is hot....lol.

I remember wanting to go to my grandma's JUST to play the genesis, Sonic 2 just never gets old, then I got my bro's old N64 when we bought him a new one ( I thought I broke his when I didn't....I was 7...long story.) but the system I remember growing up with was the PS2 and the games 007 Agent Under Fire and a little superhero game called Spider-man. 007 got me into FPS but I played the HELL outa Spider-man, it got me into platformers aswell (the next game I got was Jak & Daxter 1), I played it so much that the disc stoped working cause it had spun so much. ( I got a new copy now XD).

So spidey got me into gameing as a hole, maybe he is the best superhero ever....nah...Batman will always be the best.

Sup. I've been a retro gamer for a long time now, but I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start from the beginning.

The other day I was chatting with my friend on skype and He told me about this site (he's a semi-retro gamer himself, but he doesn't have an account here). I came an looked around and decided to join.

Back to me being a retro gamer:

I was born in '93, ah such a great decade....but I digress, so I grew up with the two best consoles ever the SNES and PS2. Being a kid having these two systems really gave me a great appreciation for console gaming, the PS2 for it's slick modern games and the SNES for it's amazingly fun simplistic games, I had the best of both worlds. I do own a 360 now but I barley play it. The thing that peeves me about the gaming industry today is that it seems games have to be complicated to be fun, they have to have fully HD hi-res textures or the graphics suck, have to have more than one attack button or controls suck, have to have a gripping prime time drama story or the story sucks....yet modern FPS are some of the highest rated games of the industry today.... I digress ( I'll do this a lot, you've been warned.....), the great thing about the two systems I grew up with is that their game library was at it's core simplistic fun. The PS2 even with it's (then) modern graphics and DVD quality sound still had very fun simplistic games (DMC3, RE4, and Maximo) even it's grand RPGs (FF, KH, and many others) were very simplistic gameplay-wise, and that's why I consider myself a retro gamer, I don't need a game to be a Crysis wannabe to be good, I just need a simple concept that works, is fun to play,  and have a little cheesy humor for me not to take the game to serious (the SNES in a nutshell).

wow.....I rant a lot.....

anyway, I have a lot of interests but my main are:

T.V.:
-Big Bang Theory
-Prison Brake
-Smallvile
-Loony Tunes
-Scooby-doo (original)
-any of the old cartoons cartoons
-everything that was on Toonami

Music:

-Lonely Island
-Kiss
-Iron Maiden
-Black Sabbath
-AC/DC
-The Beatles
-Avril Lavigne
-Green Day

Books:
-Narnia
-Lord of the Rings
-H.G. Wells
-Poe
-Inheritance (the eragon series)

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell...an incredibly long, 428 word nutshell.....
